Welcome back Placta, and happy new year.
In terms of requests, something to consider would be farming the first phase of MoM for the various nightmare monsters. MoMoM is the last 'Master Of' that I need, and I seem to be having difficulty in getting Deathsurge and Jurassik. Wouldn't mind taking a few cracks at that first phase, if there's sufficient interest to build a league for it. -
Quote:I crafted Seer lore pets specifically for the MoLambda trial. Very helpful. I already have the MoLambda badges, but I'll try to make it out to help.I have heard there's not much to taking out marauder...just one thing: Psy damage. The guy is resilient against most all else, but psy damage is buttah. I will try to get my seer core superior lore in time, as they are all psy and thus handy for this sort of thing.

I haven't created the Lore power for storm elementals, so I'm not sure how they perform. But, I have had Polar Lights for quite some time, and, well, they kick bottom. I think you'll be happy with them.

Amazing how the most innocuous internet threads devolve into displays of high drama. Dark Energon, I didn't see anybody try to disparage you at all. There were simply legitimate questions being asked about the meaning of one of your sentences. Nobody was "taking a shot" at you -- not from my perspective anyways.
-
I'm quite certain Dark Energon is correct. Applying a CE code is considered an upgrade by the game, and will allow you to apply to an existing account.
Speaking from experience, I know it *used* to work this way (many moons ago, I applied both CoH:CE and CoV:CE to my account). Dark Energon's post-I21 success at applying a CE code would suggest it still works this way. -
I'm not terribly bothered by disabling the market interface in general missions. But, I really wish I could access the market interface while in my base, where I have a crafting table.

Heh, I agree completely. Haven't dropped any points on any kind of storage increase. The prices are simply too high. Like you, though, I am tempted from time to time.

Quote:Heh. I completely get what you're saying. The group of folks I ran the Keyes with, we were continually revising our strategy, adding new rules as we went along. You can see what turned into a rather extensive list here:We were intentionally trying for it and well, I don't think I'm going to waste my time trying for it in the future. The sheer randomness of the beam placement combined with that low time (what is it? 15 seconds or thereabouts for it to happen) combined with needing to time when AM gets damaged. It's just not worth it. Like I said, I wonder if whoever designed that badge had ever actually played that trial.

I know one strategy used by others is to utilize the group teleport incarnate power. We personally never used it, but I've seen others post that they've used the strategy with success. -
Quote:As I've mentioned elsewhere, MoKeyes is easily the hardest master badge to acquire, IMO. Loves a Challenge is pretty hard. But Avoids The Green Stuff is.....yes, I think sadistic is the right word. Took me about 40 tries at it before success with a group of people intentionally trying for the badge. Green Stuff is not a badge a league will earn "by accident."Those Master Ofs pretty much killed my interest in badging. What little remained after Day Jobs that is. Tried Master Of Keyes last night and quite frankly, I wonder if the dev who thought up those badge requirements had ever actually played that horrendous trial. The no defeats/no temps were/are bad enough, but Keyes is just sadistic, IMO.

Quote:Featured market items were just posted a little while ago. The only new item is a flying carpet vanity travel power. No SSA or other new items.SSA4 was live the first tuesday of December. But yes, the initial 3 didn't come up til the 2nd week each month.
we'll see. Frankly, I think 7 is too long an arc. I'd kind of prefer to be seeing the finale right about now, keeping these things to about 3-5 tops. I'm not really thrilled waiting over half a year to have a story unfold. -
Quote:Sorry to hear that your badging pursuits have been largely ended due to itrial badges. While I have managed to secure those badges (including MoKeyes after four months of trying), I understand others' frustration in that regard. If it's any consolation, the two new itrial (MoM & TPN) badges are eminently obtainable by simply running the trial efficiently. None of the badges require activities which run counter to the design of the trial. I'm guessing this is an intentional shift by the devs in response to feedback to existing itrial badges. Mind you, this is just conjecture on my part.I've never been a big time badger but I did have one toon that I was slowly working on badges with. The iTrial badges have finally killed badging for me completely, for mostly the reasons others have already given.
The trial badges often require activities that run counter to completing the trial. Because of this the badgers tend to do badge runs when the trials first come out and if you miss that initial wave, you're probably never getting those badges. No one else wants to perform the badge requirements. They just want to get their emp/salvage and move on.
Then there is the fact that one person can, intentionally or through ignorance, kill a badge run for 23 other people. The best part is that in some cases you can't even tell who did it, which means you can't try again because you can't exclude the griefer.
So yeah I'm done. I'll still help others with badges occasionally but even for me badge run iTrials are usually a waste of time. Best of luck to those of you who are sticking with it. -
Magic carpet. Interesting.
I already have the rocket board, having bought it upon its release. So, I'm not sure I need another vanity travel power. I'm not sure I could even fit any of my characters in with a flying carpet thematically anyways -- the rocket board is much more flexible in this regard. So, for now, I'll take a pass. I might reconsider should it drop in price in the future.
That said, kudos to the devs for releasing more unique items on the Paragon Market. I've been very impressed (with a couple exceptions -- I'm looking at you Undead Survival Kit ) with the variety of items put out on the market. -

And the magic carpet is now added.

Quote:I bought Beam Rifle the day the Paragon Market opened. I rolled a BR/TM corrupter, and I have her up to level 44 at the moment. But, BR has completely disappointed. It's an entirely underwhelming power set. I'll get her up to 50, just because I've put this much time into her. But, once at 50, I harbor no doubts she'll be quickly retired and shelved.I am with you in some regards as far as powersets go though...I bought Beam Rifle but...after it (and still am a bit) I have a bit of buyer's remorse...just don't care for BR that much.
IMO, storage prices are unreasonably high. I'd love to expand my storage (auction, enhancements primarily), but at the current price point, no way. Every now and again I'll think about it, but every time I see the price, I balk. Yes, I understand it's a one-time account-wide deal, but I've had 10 enhancement slots for over seven years now without much issue. I'm not dropping 20 bucks for 10 more enhancement slots, for example. If I see a sale, say 50% off, I'd probably buy it. -
Yeah, this happened to a league I was on about three nights ago or so. I thought it was just a fluke, so I'm a bit alarmed to see that it's obviously a bug specific to the TPN trial, which occurs just as the final fight is about to ensue. I know some of the league members sent in petitions, but I didn't bother, so I'm not sure how the petitions turned out. My best guess would be a "Tough Luck" reply -- more politely worded, of course.
-
Nonsense. Not a stupid goal at all. It's fun to make goals in this game, then set out to achieve them, whether it's speccing out in purples, collecting all the badges, getting one of each AT to 50, etc. Best of luck on your endeavors.
-
Just running TPN a few times should net you the badges, without much (if any) pre-planning. I got MoTPN after only two or three runs, just "by accident." Regarding the Public Opinion badge, a reasonably solid league that knows what they're doing can complete the tasks easily within eight minutes.

You should have access. Did you try logging off, then back on again? I'd also check to see if you can roll a Praetorian character. If you also cannot do that, and you've tried relogging, I'd recommend putting in a support ticket. Good luck!

It's already been mentioned, but it's a huge pet peeve of mine, so it bears repeating:
It's not rouge. It's rogue. R O G U E.
The former is french for red.
The latter is English, meaning a dishonest, knavish person.
I'm not sure what the deal is with the word rogue, but I marvel at how pervasively the misspelling is used. I rank it up there with the misuse of there, their, and they're, and of your and you're.
(I know, I'm being pedantic). -
Quote:Green Stuff and MoKeyes are easily the two most satisfying badges I have gotten in game. So much so, I proudly display Master of Keyes Island Reactor as my character's title, and I don't anticipate changing it anytime soon.I remember when the Mostf first came out... NO level shift. Lore pets and so fourth and it was the same feeling... when we got it it was like YES!!! you felt good... I haven't gotten any of the keys badges yet because like Snow said. you need to really get a team that gets it, and it does suck when one person can mess it up if they so choose... I will get it, it's just a matter of time... It would be nice if you could do cross server runs and be able to help other people on the less populated servers get the chance to suceed in it.

Quote:That was my initial understanding as well, which is why I was skeptical when told the beam could target in hospital. But, I didn't know LOS was a prerequisite to being potentially targeted by the beam. Learn something new....From what I've seen, anyone outside the hospital can be the target of the obliteration beam. Not inside.
The ONLY way to be a target of the Disintegration beam is to be in line of sight of Anti-Matter. So if you are a master mind, summon your pets outside of the truck depot, preferably behind a wall.
Everyone, even those in the hospital, will be affected by the Time Stop.
