All hail the all knowing Lemur. -

Nice guide. Not sure what the procedure is, but you might want to get it moved over to the Player Guide section. -

Awww. Too bad it's only 30 days, otherwise I'd pick one of these cards up.
Nifty looking jet pack though. -

Hmmmm....wonder what these future projects could be???

Only to be teased with the indication we'll find out more "later this year" is frustrating in the extreme. I'm getting pretty antsy to hear of some news, not only of issue 13 (which surely must be in a fairly advanced stage of development), but generally the direction this game is moving.
I know good things are coming. But to know of the incredible amounts of new resources being poured into this game, yet knowing nothing of how they're being used is maddening.
Stop the insanity!

Thanks, Slug, for the quick recap of the podcast. I read it with much interest.
Also, I'd like to add my voice to those requesting that nasty extra zero be removed from the requirement for the Empath badge. -

Similar in concept to our character creator, it allows you, the players, to create missions and story arcs for your characters and others to participate in. Youll be able to pick the map, villain group, and objectives, as well as write the dialog and any clues needed for the missions. When you are satisfied with it, you can upload it and have other players across all servers play it and rate it.

I know I'm not alone in this, but I suggested this years ago. Awesome move, devs. Truly raising the bar in the MMOG genre. Can't wait to sink my teeth into this. -

NO MORE EXCREMENT!
Fix'd that for ya. -
Wow.
Just wow.
The devs, once again, have outdone themselves. I'm looking forward to 6 new slots on Champion with I12's release. -
God bless, and thanks for sharing a wonderful story.
My sons are still too young to play (3 months and 20 months), but I look forward to the day when they're old enough to duo with dad!

I appreciate the communication from the higher levels of the NCNC Org chart, but this doesn't actually tell us well, anything. I think this might have been a good place to tell us a little something about I12, even if it was "we plan to have I12 in closed beta testing in <insert timeframe>"

I don't mean to sound like an ingrate, but I agree with Dysmal here. This "announcement" is nice and all, but is little more than corporate cheer leading. There really ought to have been at least a morsel of enticing information to excite the player base. -

You forgot to Build Up. -
Dear Devs,
I wish you all the best with your move, and with the new premises. Merry Christmas to you all, and my best wishes to you and your families.
Thank you ever so much for making such a great game that has been such an important part of my leisure life these past 3-and-a-half years.
Here's to many more years of success to the CoX franchise.
Best wishes,

I'd also like to add, I don't like the idea of adding dedicated badges for other abilities, such as snipe, etc.
Every character has the ability to heal by using the Healing pool powers. However, unless the devs created, for example, a Sniper power pool, a sniper epic badge should NOT be created. -
Interesting discussion so far, and I'd like to add in my 2 cents worth based on the play of my dedicated badger, a 50 Peacebringer.
Mez: easily afk-farmable, but really impossible to attain during the course of normal play, even for a highly mezzable human/nova build PB. If the devs really don't want players afk-farming, the 4th, 5th, and 6th badges should probably be dropped somewhat. That said, it's not a huge deal for this category to remain as-is.
Debt: Perfectly positioned, IMO. If anything, the 5th and 6th could possibly even have the requirements tweaked slightly to the higher side.
Mentoring: Again, perfectly positioned badges. Like the debt badges the 5th and 6th could possibly be tweaked to the upside.
Healing: This one's challenging, because depending on your build the first 3-4 will be either easily attainable, or extremely difficult after the first. In my case (remember, 50 PB, I only have a single target heal) it took me a long time to even get the first badge, and I'm only about halfway to the second. Of course, dedicated empaths, kins, darks, etc. can get the first 3-4 without breaking a sweat. Given this dichotomy, I'd probably suggest keeping the first 3 as-is, and reducing substantially the 4th, 5th and 6th. This one, I acknowledge, will be the hardest for the players and devs to reach any consensus on. Nigh impossible even.
Damage: Requirement are just plain too high. Full stop. This epic badge set needs a serious requirement reduction for the last three.
Influence/ Infamy: The 5th and 6th badges are just way to high. Only now is my badger approaching the 4th badge. Mind you, she played most of the last couple years in SG mode seriously hindering badge progress here. I'd either like to see prestige earnings count towards this badge, or have the 5th and 6th ones reduced substantially.
That's my feedback based on significant badging (543 badges, and counting) on a character I play extremely often for close to three years now. -

Sorry, IB. Your post was one big mass of exaggeration. -
Personally, I'd just be happy if invention-related badges had their own section.

I must be either sheltered or not in game when these happen.
Has anyone noticed a patern concerning server/time/day?

While not at epidemic levels, I have received a few of these in-game adverts in the last few weeks. In three years of playing this game prior to I9 and receiving no such /tells, I'm glad to see the devs on top of this quickly before it gets out of hand. -

Since this has come up so often, I guess I will leak a feature of Issue 8:
You can change your title at any of the following levels:
15, 25, 35, and 45
At 50 you can change your title at any time.
You need to visit a trainer still to change your title and they "don't stack" (in other words, if you don't use your level 35 change, you don't have two changes when you hit level 45).
There is no Influence or Infamy cost associated with this.
[/ QUOTE ]
Good news indeed. I can now change some of those long-standing titles that have grown old, grown annoying or both. -
Thanks for the guide. Was very helpful today on my first attempt at this SF. For the record, we successfully completed the SF with the following team:
50 thugs/dark MM (me) - mal'd to 40
40 ninja/dark MM
42 thermal corruptor - mal'ed to 40
37 bots/FF MM - lk'ed to 39
The AV was a real toughie. We were literally fighting him for about 30 minutes before we successfully defeated him.
The thermal and dark empathy buffs were a huge help, as were the FF defenses. Additionally, the thermal and dark rezzes were absolutely necessary in order to keep the fight going continuously. There were about 4 deaths during that 30 minute AV fight, and when deaths did occur, the dead were rezzed within seconds to resume fighting.
A brute would have been handy for the final AV fight. But, in the end, our team of 4 pretty much breezed through the TF and eventually overcame one badass AV.
Fun stuff. And, as team leader, got the temp power, in addition to getting the Megalomaniac accolade. -
Excellent guide. Thank you.
I've just gotten my energy/energy brute up to level 38, and you've made some suggestions that will probably "tweak" him for the better. Although, your guide generally corroborates almost all of my power choices (including the Fighting pool).
Probably the single thing you've made me second-guess is my selection of Energy Protection (3 damres). I would appear I might get more bang for my buck to respec out of this power and take, possibly, Energy Cloak instead. I almost always take a stealth power my all of my toons (I'm an altoholic), but couldn't seem to work it into my brute.
Great job! 5 stars. -

...but Statesman don't play the crazy game, sucka!
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh, you had to bring up the Sucka's didn't you? With the introduction of the 7th-Prism Sucka mobs in the 3rd class-post-Nubian release, the entire combat balance has been thrown out of wack for all (well, reverberous/illuminous Tiggleboars perhaps the notable exception). Suckas with thier natural inkoramious resistances have made most player-accessible niggletoons redundant. And, don't get me started on the bilorafous kalotroons. -

Well, I just wish all you Zinion-Magelets would stop treating us other charator sets as second rate and holding yourselves above the rest of us. We have the same problems as you do, I mean, it took me THREE MONTHS to finally find a temporary Kandor Shield, and it wasn't even constructed properly so I had ot search again, but I struggled through and at the same time I got my Kandor Shiled AND Kanglif Staff (don't nerf it! heheh). I mean, every time something doesn't go your way you Magelets just whine and say "give me this, give me that" If you want something so bad, take this *quick slash with Kanglif Staff*
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, I don't really think this is a very fair comment. Remember the first post-Nubian Release (pre-Xanobian nerf of course). The Zinion Magelet players were the first to get onside against the proposed Kandor Shield nerf, which I'm happy to say the devs rolled back (although a month later with the introduction of the Xanobian mob with his natural reverberous resistance to the Kandor Shield made it a short lived victory).
