Quote:Yeah, they're a pretty rare drop. I think I've gotten two since they were introduced to the game.Cool, so they do still exist. I was really starting to wonder since everyone I asked in-game about that (after posting) said they had gotten one to drop in the first month after it was introduced to the game and hadn't seen one since OR had never seen one. Thanks for the info Diggis.

I already own all the boosters, so this sale doesn't help me. But, I imagine the old boosters see few sales, so this is a good way to get a boost of sales revenue from some stale products.
I'll chime in to agree with others re: the NC store. I've never purchased more than one thing at a time, but it boggles my mind there's an arbitrary limit to number of purchases one can make. Talk about artificial barriers to making a sale -- very poor practice. Also, can they please make the "remember credit card for future use" tick box -- you know -- actually work? Either that or just remove it. Pretty silly to tick the thing off every time I buy a booster, only to have to re-enter my credit card details the next time I buy something. -

Good times today. Amily, thanks so much for advertizing and organizing today's events. Lots of fun, and I was able to bang out my last two Masters badges, bringing me up to a grand total of 983 badges, tied for first place on Badge Hunters dot com.
So, thanks to all who made it fun and painless today. I've got a couple days to rest before I19, and the badging starts again in earnest.

Quote:With due respect, Tam, we discussed this in team chat before the SF started. Nobody had a vent server to offer, so I cut and pasted the Champions United vent info, to which you replied, "I won't go on that assh0le's server."having vent would have been a nice communication tool, and most definately not had multiple people in team chat trying 'to lead'..
Now, I completely understand the beefs people have with Bud. But, it seems a bit ... rich ... to now complain about not having used vent on last night's Mo attempt when a server was available. If having vent was that important, it should have been a simple thing to overlook any kind of personal beef with another player.
Regarding the time thing, most of the excess time taken was in the second mission, where Meuller was bugged. Wasn't much we could really have done about that. I was pleasantly surprised we got a GM as quickly as we did.
Anyways, thanks for tanking. You honestly did a great job on that front. I would only suggest you be a bit more open to input from other players. Kicking Dolly was more than a bit of an overreaction and I think put a kibosh on a second Mo run, as it put a bad taste in my mouth, and likely others as well.
Cheers... -
Quote:Bless your heart, Dolly. Most classy of you to take the high road. I can't honestly say I'd have turned the other cheek under similar circumstances.Well, all I saw was an Empath run through the map to BS, find BS, run back to the main room, bring a tonne of aggro behind him to the rest of the team, not stop, barrel straight to the point where BS turns hostile, then try to solo BS while everyone else was handling the aggro that had arrived in the room.
I thought it was funny since even his dual-boxed Tank was taken by surprise by the Emp's actions, and that was the same person. Maybe he forgot which alt was which? (actually, that would pretty much explain everything that happened).
But meh, not too fussed. Hope to try again Sunday.
And, yes, there did seem to be a decided lack of communication at the end. Very disappointing for the final mission to fail so quickly when it needn't have been that way. -
Quote:I feel your pain. My badger is a PB, which a significant portion of the player base sees more as a liability for a team (minimal buffs/debuffs, random crystal cysts showing up, etc.), especially on a Mo run. I've had my fair share of, "Thanks for your interest, but....."We see what comes of it, yet again am arranging my schedule so can show up for an event run by people that continually tell me "full", "not wanted", etc. crap .. /shrug optimism is not high.
But, I've run with Amily in the past, with nothing but positive interactions. I've actually thrown my hat in the ring for a couple of her Mo attempts Sunday as well. -
Quote:Wow. That's just ....... wow. Very impressive. I've never really gotten into the dom AT, but maybe I need to take a second look at them. Solo the MoITF and MoLGTF?My Dom Solo'ed his MoITF and his MoLGSF, someday soon I will finally get the time to Solo his MoLRSF also if needed. If I do maybe will drag some others with me, if they agree to 'terms' of being offline etc.
I salute you. -
Things are really shaping up well, and we've got seven out of the eight spots spoken for. Thanks so far to all who have expressed interest and signed on.
Current roster:
1 Seldom - Dreameater, Dominator
2 Force's War - [AT unknown]
3 Spatch - Cinnamon Red, Peacebringer
4 Dollymistress - Mind/Psi Dom
5 SovereignSavior - Scrapper
6 Tamerlayne - Stone Tank
7 Rad Avenger - Fire/Cold Corruptor
8 -
Tamerlayne, we've got a couple of doms coming already, would you mind bringing your stoner for easy mode?Amily is running a MoCuda on Sunday you could get your dom on.
Force, what AT/powersets are you planning to bring? I don't recall from our last attempt.
We're really needing a mastermind for the eight spot, as MMs get the anti-phase temp power for Reichsman at the end, which is hugely helpful in bringing him down. Idealy a /dark MM for the regen debuffs, but we're not too picky. If we don't get any sign ups here, I guess we'll simply recruit the night of.
Looking forward to it. -
Quote:Hi Amily,Marathon Master stuff...Or insert your own cute name..
Starting at 1:00 EST I am going to be running through the Master TFs in order. If anyone needs the badges or just wants to help please let me know. Obviously other than the first one I don't know what time we will be starting, but there will be minimal breaks in between.
ITF
Kahn
LGTF
( No STF, unless for some reason folks want/need to)
Barracuda
LRSF
In case of failure on any TF we will start over or complete whichever makes more sense.
(You don't have to sign up for all of them any help is appreciated.)
This sounds like lots of fun. Family life prevents me from joining you for the full Mo marathon (as much as I would like to), but I would very much like to take a spot for my badger on the LGTF and Cuda. She is a purpled out, level 50 Peacebringer, built for blasting/DPS. See sig for her badging bona fides.
I'd wager the LGTF would begin around 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon, give or take, assuming the first two go reasonably smoothly. -
Quote:Good lord, Nether. You really need to argue for the sake of being contrary, don't you?I'm saying his perception doesn't carry much weight as he admits auras and capes aren't his thing.
With the Party Pack there was legitimacy to the griping about the price point.
With this one, I'm not seeing it.
A buck an effect for some REALLY NICE effects? C'mon now.
First you say an opinion regarding pack price is valid, now here you say it's not. Target audience or not, his opinion is valid. Or not. Only in your subjective world does another's opinion have more or less weight.
Back during the Party Pack debacle, you mocked those ("malcontents" I think was the word) who reasonably took issue with the PP price point. But, now it's overpriced says thee.
Now, I know you'll contort your response with all kind of semantic gymnastics to "refute" my points. But your Doublespeaking posts are really getting tired. Oh, so tired. -

Some potential issues with Force, start time wise, depending on how his work day shakes out. I'm open to a later start, but Sovereign works later, and prefers a 5:00 PST start. Sovereign, any comfortable wriggle room for you? Half hour? -
Excellent, looks like some interest from some new folks. Welcome! I've updated the sign up sheet.
Still awaiting word from Force, Dolly and Sovereign, and there is still one unclaimed spot available. Rad debuffs would be a great addition. -
Quote:Why don't we establish a time for mid-late next week and/or next weekend. That will allow time for a team of eight to get cobbled together (hopefully) by the time it rolls around. Why don't I get the ball rolling, by suggesting:Much appreciated.
Spatch: Not sure if I'll be able to make it tonight. We shall see, but I have my doubts. The weekend is full, too. Next week/wekend might have to be it. I'd love to be able to have a chock-full foster lined up ahead of time to avoid the half hour recruitment and random additions, but beggers can't be choosers.

Heh, enjoy your visit from your friend, Seldom. Day's events make today less than ideal for me -- I could make the SF tonight, but it would cause significant amount of spousal aggro. So, since Seldom cannot make it, I shall bow out as well, but suggest we perhaps try for a Friday or weekend run.
-
Quote:I'm in. Peacebringer.Okay, so we wanted to try again this week? Is tomorrow okay?
Proposed time: 7:00 central/8 EST (the 6/7 from last week seemed too early for most, but I'd still like to get thing rolling sooner rather that later)
Does this work for folks, or should we await the weekend?

As per last time, the hardest thing to get is a defender/mastermind for the black scorpion temp power. A good player to take Reichsman's pounding to the face for 15-20 mins without a death would be good too.
Doing this again, we should do the tunnel strategy. Every single time I've done this, not doing so ended up with at least one body on the floor. I know some folks can do without it, but better safe than hours wasted, says I. -
Bah. Sorry to hear it didn't work out. I didn't log in, thinking things were going to wait a few days. Otherwise I would have happily joined. I'm still up for a run, if there's enough interest this weekend, or next week.
-
IMO, would be best to have the team pre-built with the desired ATs (and, I both acknowledge, and appreciate the pity spot afforded my PB
). Perhaps we could push the date forward a few days. My schedule is pretty flexible.
-
For blasting purposes, I can bring my PB again, who is built for blasting/DPS. Count me in.
On our last run, she got the GW temp power, which provides mitigation against Reich's endurance debuffs. I was using it actively on our tank and scrapper. -
Excellent summary, Seldom. For what essentially amounted to a PuG masters run, it was remarkably successful, with many lessons learned. I would feel pretty confident going into it again after last night's experience.
I didn't realize that the ambushes were, in fact, finite. As said, patience here is the key. It's easy to get impatient, and the team to divide itself. So long as everybody stays in the tunnel, risk should be pretty well mitigated during the long ambush phase.
I'd recommend folks keep a few teir 3 inspirations in their e-mail box for relatively quick access. A couple purples and oranges towards the end when Reich's goes through a target-bouncing last ditch attack would probably be a good idea. He came straight at me right at the end and, but for a well-timed taunt from our tank, I would have probably been one-shot.
Anyways, it was fun. Should another attempt get rolling, I'd certainly be happy to join up again. Thanks again, all. -
A good vet reward. Torn from the pages of other MMOs, but new to CoX. Looking forward to it.
-
Ok. 6:00 PST / 9:00 EST it is. Looking forward to it.
And, to echo MindRipper, the new Hallowe'en stuff is eminently solo-able. I got all six new badges inside of two hours this morning. The mission itself takes 3-4 minutes, at most. The only thing that takes time is ToT'ing to get the tip to drop. Remember, the holidy tip only drops if you're wearing a temporary costume drop. -
Yes, we should get on the same page regarding start time. I'm okay with either, but it sounds like Ice Ember is only available for 9:00 EST -- so that's what we should probably set. In any event, I can confirm my availability for both times.
Edit: Been meaning to mention this for awhile -- Ice Ember, I just -LOVE- your sig video. Bloody hilarious!
