Hah, funny
Like SpaceNut is unique. Perhaps I could put the G_ in front like I do elsewhere. I can say this, on these Forums, there is only ONE. On each server each name is unique and cannot be duplicated, so looking at it that way, each one of my characters has an uncommon name.
got anything else?

Actually I meant your real name, but it's funny watching you be indignant. -

Ok, devs - how many cheesecakes for a closed beta spot? How about 4? One for the community team, one for the programming team, one for the design team and one for the art team...

In that order. And, luckily, it seems like in I15 we might get the Ranged Damage and Mastermind sets.
[/ QUOTE ]
Say what? -
[ QUOTE ]
I13 did have Pain Dom as a secondary for Corruptors (and MMs)
[/ QUOTE ]
That's not a ranged set, though. The most recent new ranged attack sets were Sonic and Archery, way back in I5. Willpower and Dual Blades were added in I11, and Shields and Pain Dom in I13. -

Would people renting more sale slots be able to store things in their regular slots while renting others?
[/ QUOTE ]
This is my biggest concern - using all existing slots for storage and bids and then renting a slot to sell. We already get charged 10% of our sale price for using the market - adding another 1-2% (as suggested by the OP) won't really make a difference, which means as long as you have an initial pot of inf to start with, you'd essentially have limitless (or whatever the rental cap is) slots. -
Ha! That Winter Lord stomp made me laugh so hard! Perfect timing right on the stone tanker.

So, I figured this would be a pretty hefty undertaking involving at least Sexy Jay, Backalley Brawler and their minions, but I'm posting it to flesh it out and see what people think.
With the introduction of combat auras, we have costume parts with different appearances depending on a character's stance - when you stand your targeting optics go away, but when you enter combat stance they appear. What if this could be done in reverse - with weapons?
Summary
The primary issue of this is to fix the issue often called "hammerspace" where you draw your weapon from midair. The secondary issue is greater costume customization including additional non-functional weapons for characters to use on their costumes. The tertiary issue would be the introduction of new weapon draw animations.
Primary Issue: Hammerspace
Pretty much every weapon heroes and villains use is drawn from midair, in what is jokingly referred to as "hammerspace". Where are the weapons coming from, and where are they stowed when not drawn? Most weapons are drawn with a hand (or two) over the shoulder, which gives the impression that the weapon(s) should be on the character's back.
So, I'm proposing several new costume pieces that take up a back slot, in place of wings or a cape. (These could also be implemented as chest details like the bandoliers, but would probably have issues with clipping.)
Single Scabbard, with and without sword
Dual Scabbards , with and without swords
Quiver and Bow
Quiver
Mace in Holster
Empty Mace Holster
Rifle Sling
If a character uses a weapon, the costume piece could be set up to switch from showing the weapon to lacking the weapon when the weapon is drawn, much like the targeting optics turn on when you enter combat stance. If your character doesn't use a weapon, that leads to...
Secondary Issue: Costume Customization
Some people might like to carry a weapon even if it isn't part of their powerset. Maybe a character is a martial artist but carries a sword on his back. Maybe a character controls gravity but also wants a quiver on their back.
With the new costume pieces, they can! Because they never actually draw the weapon in the holster, it never vanishes. Because these are static costume pieces, they open up other opportunities. Maybe instead of on the back, a character carries a weapon strapped to their leg. This also works great for backup weapons - dual scabbards on the back for a dual blade user, and an extra one strapped to their leg in case of breakage! Now, if you can have a weapon or two strapped to your leg, why not consider...
Tertiary Issue: New Weapon Draw Animations
If I'm remembering correctly, katana draws from the hip, dual blades draw over the shoulders, and everything else draws over the right shoulder. Well, if you can have your weapons holstered on your back, on your hip, or strapped to your thigh, why not draw them from that location? Any melee weapon could be drawn from the same shoulder (like broadsword), the opposite hip (like katana) or from the same leg (which would be a new animation). Guns could be drawn over the shoulder or from a holster on the same leg (but probably not from the opposite hip).
I know doing all of this would take a lot of time and effort, but it would be an amazing degree of customization without changing any combat animations or visuals (so as to avoid the "power customization" argument). -

Tailor.
I am very happy that we have MA, WW and RV all in one zone, but please put a tailor there.
Thanks!

No.
Like it or not, if you want to experience every facet of the game, you will need to leave the starting zone. -

Wait, is this the abolition of RMT trail email puppets?
[/ QUOTE ]
No, that's been around for a while. Unless it's since gotten bugged, that means every spam email is coming from a paid account. -
On top of debuffing and controlling requiring you to be in melee, this would force them to make animations that work on the smallest underling and the biggest giant robot. How do you create a single animation that looks like it's hitting a pressure point on a Rubble and on a Kronos?

Is that the Tutorial one or is it the one you revisit later, to bust out a bunch of NPCs?

It's the later one, but they are very similar. The only difference is the size of the yard. -

lol, I went to their website link and went to the "What is Steam" and still had no idea what it was. Luckily Wikipedia has an entry Steam on Wikipedia

Someone who knows what all the categories mean needs to add CoH to the "List of Steam Games" page... -
Yes. Make a new category called "Ratings Pending" and don't have the stars visible until it gets 5 ratings. Also, put "Ratings Pending" at the top of the list, under Dev's Choice and Hall of Fame.
-
I'd like to see some SG badges that have more of an effect than unlocking a base item.
-
I just want a simple "Yes, they were removed due to an exploit and they aren't coming back" or "No, they were removed because of legitimate issues and they'll be back once we can fix those issues" so I can either delete my published arc, make a new faction or wait.
