I have a level 43 defender and a level 43 tanker that I hope to get to 50, or at least close. After that, I'll either work on my level 33 WS or see if I can push a Soldier and a Widow to 24. If my normal Sunday group runs, I'll also play my level 36 corruptor for a little bit.

Ok, with that run through the event on Atlas, feedback:
It seems that you can only get rewards if you are close enough for the nav bar to change. I was on a team split between two banners and only got one badge. Then, when the mystical aspect spawned, it was defeated so fast that I couldn't even get to it, and again got no rewards, even though most of my team was beating on it.
If you're using the 10% code for damage credit, because things are defeated so fast by so many people a lot of people aren't going to be able to get badges.
Ok, it seems you can get credit for banners without being close to them. However, due to the damage % rules, you essentially have to run the event 4 times, one for each banner. And that's only if you get on a team that's fighting a banner you don't have the badge for yet.
Potential problems:
Needing to farm the event to be able to get all the badges.
Timer too short for small servers.
Final GM defeated too fast for majority to get credit.
More feedback:
It was not at all clear what to do once the banners were down. When you are near a banner, weakening it, or defeating the banners, you see the objectives in the nav bar, but once all 4 are down, you go back to the normal nav bar. Finding the final GM is a hide and seek, which is no fun when dealing with the damage requirement for kill credit. I'd recommend a glowing message like when the shields are dropped on the rikti mothership that directs people to the mystical aspect GM. -
Looks like it. I can't log back in on that character...
Wait, now I'm logging back in. Looks like it was everyone in the zone, yes. -
Quote:*creates a plant dom named Branch 20*Numerous reports of various mez/hold animations not playing correctly. I know that this is something we've looked into before, and I suspect that this is another in a string of "was fixed, but got unfixed by the dastardly Branch 20"
Branch 20 is Paragon's latest nemesis. -
You should be able to untoggle the chat logging by using the slash command. Just type:
/logchat "fighting"
into the chat window and it should stop. (Substitute the real name of the tab for "fighting".) -
There were a number of exploits.
The first one was Comm Officers, which have minion HP, one attack and Lt rewards. An 8-man sized spawn would only spawn one portal, even if it consisted of over a dozen Comm Officers.
The second was Mending Mitochondria, which have no attacks - only a self heal. People would make an entire map of them and have no risk of being defeated.
The third was creating custom enemies with no ranged attacks, and then hover-blasting the map. Since the mobs had no ranged attacks, as long as you stayed airborne there was no way you could be damaged.
The last was boss farms, where people would make an entire map of bosses of a standard group that could be easily farmed. I think Freakshow bosses were used, since Freakshow are/were standard farming fodder. -
Are you in Independence Port? The AE building there has been overlaid where some mission doors were previously. The best thing to do it just call your contact and choose the option to drop the mission, after filing a bug report about the door location.

Finally a double XP weekend I can enjoy, and it's far enough before the holiday season that I won't be swamped with cheesecake orders!

If that fails to work, go into the folder where CoH is installed and delete the checksum file. When you open the patcher after that, it'll verify all your files and make sure you have the right version.
-
You'll probably get better help in the tech issues forum, but until they can help, I'd recommend verifying all your files when the launcher comes up. If you're consistently crashing at one place, you might have a corrupted file.

Can someone explain and/or translate "Bubble Hearthers"?

As recently as June, the community reps let us know that subscriptions were emphatically UP.
The population always dips this time of year as people readjust to their school schedules. With the release of I16, it's much easier to find teams with the SSK feature, and so people are in instances more than they have been.
Also, the first month is CO is still in progress, so people who have bought the box but won't pay monthly for two games are still playing CO while they can. I'd expect to see a small but noticeable jump when then end of the month rolls around and people have to decide which game they want to continue to pay $15/month to play. -
I'm waiting until I'm accidentally one of the devs and can see the super secret closed boards.

The entire Paragon Studios marketing department is a guy named Ross who sits on Positron's shoulders and tells him not to say anything ahead of time.

When are they normally scheduled? I want to make some progress on the two raid badges.

Awesome fun, gang! (I was playing Deuce and a Half in my Longbow outfit.) 3 more raids and I should have enough for my entire Vanguard costume!

I'm pretty sure Richter is dead in the Preatorian universe. I mean, think about it. You drink from the Well of the Furies and gain incredible powers which allow you to take over the world. Wouldn't you kill the only other person who had also had a drink from the Well? At least on Prime Earth, it seems like Recluse's powers were slow to develop, whereas Statesman got all his powers right off the bat.

Quote:I love science-y and/or foreign names, so if I were in Aett's position, I would totally use "Dolichovespula".1. Bad Aett!!!
Ant-man and Giant Man were lame but his Yellowjacket outfit was cool. He finally was believable as a hero.
2. I would use something off this page that tickles your fancy and is available.

P.S. Yellowjackets scare me.
