  1. The devs have already said there will be other ways to get a Notice of the Well once the Incarnate Trials are released in I20. Presumably you'll be able to claim the reward once every 20 hours, or whatever the diminishing rewards timer is on Trials, once I20 hits. If you want it NAO! you have to jump through their hoops.

    I stand by my claim that Praetoria is located on the former site of New Orleans/Lake Pontchartrain, based on a number of lore factors.

    1: The city is built on top of a river/lake that's big enough and shallow enough to build said city on.
    2: The plants growing both in the city and outside the city look tropical, not temperate.
    3: Praetoria stands at the location of Cole's first defeat of Hamidon, which happened as the monster was moving north through Mexico from South America.

    Of course, given the earth-reshaping powers of both Hamidon and nuclear weapons, it's possible that Praetoria is anywhere along the coastal southern US.

    Awesome, I've added that to the list of bugged powers. If you get a chance, test it out and report back!

    Carrion Creep spawns Carrion Creepers, Ninjas spawn Caltrops, the Tier 2 Robots summon Seeker Drones when upgraded, and the Tier 3 Robots spawn a Missile Patch when upgraded. Haven't had a chance to test if the Thug Arsonist causes a crash with the burn patch spawned from his Molotov Cocktail.

    It's more likely that it's only certain MM powers that cause it.

    According to the testing, Ninjas that drop Caltrops and Robots that drop patch powers (Seeker Drones, Missile Patch) have caused a crash. I would also expect the Thug Arsonist to cause a crash with the burn patch caused by his Molotov Cocktail, but I don't have the rare slotted yet to test it.

    I see nothing in Mercs, Necro, or Demons that would (presumably) cause a crash.
  6. From all the testing in other threads, it seems the crash is caused by level shifted pets summoning their own pets. If you have no pets, rares seem to be safe.

    Sorry MMs, controllers and doms. :-(
  7. My belief would be no to both of those.

    Just like you can get a tip off of any mob level 20 and above, you can get a Shard of any mob 50 or above (although the chance still depends on the rank of the mob).

    The Incarnate system only works above level 47, so the only PvP zone it could possibly affect would be RV, and I have the feeling it's only for PvE.

    Nictus-Off, I hate your cutscenes, but your Alpha Boost is amazing!
  9. I'll just chime in here, and mention that I've put together a Google spreadsheet with the updated incarnate information, so you can plan what you need to do for rares and very rares. The way it's set up in-game makes it hard to get an overview of the whole process, at least for me.

    Fixed the HO unlock level, but left the RWZ level alone since that's when you can access the content, which is what it says.
  11. Keep in mind that there was a giant volcano that erupted in the Rogue Isles in the early 1800s - the resulting tsunami could easily have reshaped the coast of RI and would explain why Paragon City became the dominant east coast city instead of NYC.
  12. Crystal Crag: 45 -> 46

    A long term project of mine. This character, an Ice/Stone Tanker is super fun to play, but after a while I get headaches from the sounds of Stone Melee. I used the double XP to get him that little bit closer to 50.

    Eschatomorpher: 38 -> 44

    Lots of soloing. This is my current solo villain, so I played him when I needed my own pace. Lots of arcs and lots of arc bonuses! Demon/Thermal MM.

    Electrinox: 34 -> 40

    My current Pentacle Sunday session villain. Played him on Thursday for Quas' Thursday-Sunday. Soloed to 35, then got to 38 on an ITF and finished up the evening with some other Pentacle folks. Elec/Elec Blaster.

    12000 Volts: 24 -> 27

    Solo villain in waiting, but too much fun to just ignore him over double XP weekend. Did some random arcs. SS/Elec Brute.

    Syncoptic: 22 -> 25

    A great new concept vigilante I rolled up last week - he's the cause of fainting. You just can't see him when he makes others faint. Finished changing from hero to vigilante and stopped Amanda Gates. Claws/Dark Stalker.

    Benny Brontes: 1 -> 22

    New Pentacle Dominator, Grav/Psi. He's a Family Consigliere who lost an eye (Brontes is one of the Cyclopes) and gained psychic powers from Superadine abuse. Soloed to 8 Saturday night, teamed with Pentacle on Sunday, and then soloed from 19 to 22.

    Alabaster Bones: 1 -> 12

    New concept Rogue, Sonic/Kin COrruptor. Neat idea, but not sure if I'll continue playing her. Based on the Sirens of both classic mythos and O Brother Where Art Thou?

    53 total levels, including 13 post-30 levels. And somehow I ended up with more food in the fridge at the end of the week than I had at the beginning.
  13. A coalition I belong to tried to run one before Xmas, but it was bugged to the point we could not complete it.

    If it's fixed, we'll have to run it again sometime soon!

    All that really seems new to me are the additions in the last year.
    Ha! I'm the opposite! Anything that was introduced in my first year-ish of play still seems new.

    Archery? New!

    Sonic? New!

    Thugs? New!
  15. How much can the RNG hate you? I'll tell you.

    I was opening presents in Talos on a level 50 because I didn't want to do anything that involved concentration, and on one of them I was naughty, and three 20-something snowmen popped out. I threw out an AoE to clear them before moving on...

    And missed two of them.
  16. I was cleaning out a character and sent myself about 5 million inf earlier this week, but had yet to claim it on another character, and have since deleted the character that sent it. Think it's worth a petition?
  17. Neither. Images in sigs are useless.

    Can we get red name conformation that the ONLY way to be able to craft the rare/very rare Alpha Slot abilities before I20 is to do these specific TFs?

    Because if so, that sucks.
  19. I want the rewards because they help make my character more awesome, and I'm an engineer: http://www.smbc-comics.com/index.php...&id=1797#comic
  20. I got a response from a couple of fluent Estonians, and it turns out it's a song called Might and Power!

    Quote:
    A smith was forging a sword in a village, he hammered it until dawn, rising the blade to the sky, giving it might. He kept on forging the fiery blade and it's strength kept increasing/focusing (not sure about the meaning of this word in this particular context). Proudly he said that a wolfs blood runs through it. We knew who to take care of and they took care of us. Together we were mighty, together we had power. Heroes heart.

  23. My first 50 took about 6 months and way too many hours, back in I4/I5. Now I tend to get a new level 50 about every three months, after perhaps 200-300 hours of play, although they often tend to clump up - recently went 6 months and then got two in the same weekend. (Starting a wiki page with all my 50s makes it really easy to remember... All I have to do is pull up the history page!)

    Edit: On closer inspection, it seems a little more frequent that that. When I created my user page in August 2008, after 38 months of play, I had 5 level 50s. 28 months later, I have 21 level 50s... It's getting easier to crank them out without too much effort.
  24. YUS! Finally got one!

    (Grey vertical NA code on the left.)
  25. The alpha slot and the accolade work completely differently.

    The Alpha Slot slotted with the 33% Endurance Reduction will act like an additional Endurance Reduction SO in each power that can accept said enhancements. (Then factor in ED, etc to get your actual percentage boost.)

    The Accolade increases the amount of endurance in your blue bar from 100 to 105.

    They do not interfere with each other at all, and so you'll get the full effect from both of them.
