    Update - April 8

Thank you all for the clarification.

And more importantly, thanks for not making me feel like an idiot for asking that question! LOL!

    Much appreciated...have a great day!

    Update - April 8

    Hello all,

Please forgive what may be a very obvious question. I've searched around the forums, including the Announcements, City Life, etc. and I can't seem to find the discussion on this.

I played a bit this morning and when I logged off, the updater appeared with a sizable update downloading.

Might I know what this is? Is there a link I obviously missed or somewhere I can find this patch update?

    Thanks again for your patience.

    The Geritolerators.

I'll be 43 in a couple of weeks and I agree with those who say that, overall (keyword: overall), my more enjoyable teaming experiences come when the average age of my teammates is 30+.

That being said, I've teamed with some thirty-somethings and perhaps one or two college-aged people. It's intriguing how on such teams the college-aged people can be sometimes more mature than the thirty-somethings... and also intriguing how they tend to "step up" and we have discussions that don't start with "lolz" or "kthxbai". (I'm not saying that language is any indication of intelligence or maturity, I'm just stating that I rarely find 30+ talking like that).

I love reading how there are seventy-somethings teaming up with pre-teens and younger.

    NCSoft is doing something right.

The Geritolerators... hmm, what would our motto/battle cry be?

"Why! When I was your age............... zzzzzzz"

    Wait.

    These characters are fictional?!
  5. Thank you all for the continued information.

Hmm, I may try to slot at least one accuracy into it... in the off chance I can't use Aim first. I'll have to play around with it.
  6. Adeon, thanks for your input. Refreshing news about it having a fairly good accuracy.

    I'm glad for your help!
  7. Thanks for the reassurance, Steele. It's good to know.

I'll consider putting an end reducer in the power. Perhaps Stamina isn't enough?

    Again, I appreciate your help!
  8. Hello all and happy Easter (if you happen to celebrate it)

My TA/A has reached level 38 and I'm VERY happy with RoA. I am very close to lvl 39 where I can finally get to slot it...but even out of the box, it's pretty impressive.

I have a few questions regarding it:

    1. For an attack chain, what do you suggest?

Currently, I'm doing Disruption Arrow > Aim > RoA.

I realize I can also use EMP Arrow first to hold the baddies, but I figure that would be better used with my Oil Slick Arrow/Ignite.

    2. RoA has quite an animation... if I hit Aim RIGHT before it, are the good effects of Aim not available to me by the time the RoA hits? (ie. am I wasting my time with Aim before the RoA?)

    3. What do you suggest I slot RoA with? I'm thinking: 1 Acc/3 Rech Red/2 Damage. Should I scrap the ACC since I will be using Aim and sub it for another damage?

    4. Any other advice for using RoA most effectively?

    Thanks, in advance!
  9. Great...thanks very much for your time, Smurphy.
  10. Hello all and Happy Easter (if you celebrate it)!

I checked out the FAQ and guides, but saw nothing regarding my query:

Is there a printable list out there that has the necessary components to craft the various common IOs?

Example: What I'd need to craft a lvl 35 Accuracy IO and a lvl 15 Defense Buff IO, etc?

I could write all these down as I scanned through WW or even my own recipe list... but I thought that I would ask so as not to reinvent the wheel.

I'd like to have this list handy near my computer, thus why I'm asking for a printable copy.

Thanks, in advance, for any direction to a link or resource. Much appreciated!

Great...thanks, SwellGuy. I realized after I posted my question there must be an easy way to remember.
  12. Thanks for the details, Smurphy.

I always seem to forget what vendor prices are... thus my dilemna.

Your strategy makes sense to me and I appreciate your taking the time to respond.
  13. Catwhoorg and Smurphy, thanks for answering.

Smurphy, when you sell the salvage, do you mostly just do a quick sell at stores, or do you check WW first to see what's selling hot?

Or after a while, will I just know what's "hot selling" and what should be sold at stores (for ease and speed)?
  14. Hello all,

Although I just recently got my 60 month Vet badge, I'm still relatively new to all this crafting/inventions/market. But I'm having some fun learning about it.

I have about 7 or 8 salvage storage racks in my one-man SG base. They're organized alphabetically and it's quite easy for me to find what I need to find.

I'm just wondering is there any "rule-of-thumb" when it comes to knowing WHAT to store? I don't want to use up the precious space storing salvage I will probably never use. To date, I've been storing mostly any salvage that is NOT white...but I do have some white (that I think may be useful for common IOs, etc.)

Just wanted to gauge what you all consider "store-worthy" and what you dispose of and/or sell?

I'm still learning and thankful for your patience.
  15. Yes, usually, it just kicks me out ONCE, but then I can get in.

I will try to remember to netgraph it and see what I see.

Thanks again for your continued attempts to help mem, Panthera.
  16. Hi Lucky and Panthera, thanks for your help.

I apologize for not giving more information.

I do owe rent, but my teleportation machines seem to be working and in the past, when I owe rent, I was told I have a "grace period" that I could use.

It doesn't just happen with one character.
It is a one-man base, but I do have a few friends who use it and they haven't mentioned the problem to me.
The last time I successfully entered was yesterday... and it doesn't happen every time. Just every so often. Also, I have noticed it was from different zones. (Talos and Brickstown).

It's disturbing that nobody else here has experienced this. I wonder if it's something in my computer?

I do have the game music turned off (through the Options menu) but I can't imagine that would affect it.
  17. Hello all,

I've done a search and can't find anything close to related to what I'm experiencing.

The last few days, when I try to enter my base through a portal, I'm sometimes kicked back to the zone from where I was entering?

For example, I enter the SG portal in Talos Island and I get the cutaway image (as if I'm entering my base) but then I'm thrown back near the Talos Island train.

    Anybody experiencing similar happenings?
  18. Thanks for responding, Trickshooter. I'll just now accept that if it ignites, I should consider myself fortunate.
  19. Sorry to trudge this up again...

Just want to double-check: Is it a known issue that the OSA doesn't ignite 100% of the time? If so, then I can live with that and won't get frustrated when it happens.

I'm knew to TA/A so I thank you for your patience!

If that doesn't work, then add an extra letter to the end of a line and then press the left arrow to go behind it. then press Enter and it will Line break between those characters. Then you can delete the extra letter you added as well.
    Thanks very much, Master Blade.

I believe I've tried your first suggestion and still had no luck. I'll try it again and/or try your second suggestion.
  21. Thank you all for your contributions.

Now, I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it... but I was testing this right after I respecced outside Galaxy City's town hall. I found some low Hellions (level 2 and such) and tried it. Perhaps the low level mobs went down so fast due to the fire burning them, that it didn't register over their heads? I just thought I'd see the patch burning, nevertheless.

I'll try it on higher mobs and report back, to see if that is pertinent.
  22. Okay... follow-up question:

So I create a macro, using Lewis's code...and it targets perfectly.

However, when I go to use my Technology's origin power (Taser Dart), it doesn't ignite the oil slick.

It did previously... if I clicked on the Oil Slick and then hit it with the Taser. now, I get a message:

    "You defeated the Oil Slick."

but no flames...and the foes aren't ignited.

    Very confusing to me.
  23. Hi Dawn,

Yes, I do have have Blazing Arrow... but I was under the impression that if I shot that at a mob, it wouldn't ignite the actual oil slick... that I had to attack the oil slick to ignite it?

And if that's the case, I'd just as soon use Blazing Arrow on a bad guy.

I agree about the macro... I plan on creating one to place it near the oil slick attack.

    Great...thanks for answering, Quinch.

And it's good to know that CTRL+C and CTRL+V do work in the game...
  25. Hello all,

I'm having a devil of a time with the editor in-game. I want to add a line between two existing lines.

I go to the end of the first line and hit ENTER a few times. The cursor then shows up at the very end of the biography.

Okay, fine... let's see if I can trick it. I go to the end of the first line and hit space a few times.

The cursor ends up at the START of the biography and I have moved the first line in a few times.

I then am FINALLY able to enter a new line but when I start typing, the second word of my NEW line ends up in the MIDDLE of the fourth line of my biography.

It's as if the cursor has a mind of its own and just bounces around while I'm in mid-sentence.

Just wondering if this is a known bug or perhaps is there a way I should be approaching the editor?

I'd seriously consider creating my biography in a text document, but I'm not sure if I can CTRL-V (paste) the text in the editor and it would be formatted the way I want.

    Any help is appreciated...thanks.
