    This really made my day.

Beo's a good guy. Our play styles mesh really well so generally TFs we do together go well.

I wonder if he reads the forums...

Don't even kid about taking a break. I need you right where you are.
    Meep!

    Sir, yes sir!

Actually, I got the 50 assist badge last night with the help of the awesome BeowolfinIA (Possibly spelled wrong, but he's a lovable nub so it's okay) and the folks who stayed for the runs.

So my head is little more clear now - don't need to worry about grinding so much.

Though... when the ITF hits as the WTF... it's game on again!

    Lady Grey Pylons

There are two strategic reasons why they should come down after Mitos:

    1. Kin and Dark can use the pylons as anchors for their powers. You'll really appreciate a Dark who can teleport you to a pylon after accidental Hami agro and rez you there.

    2. Taking out Mitos is *a lot* easier if you do so after dragging Rikti into the goo and have them take all the Mito agro. If you take out pylons first, you're going to lose that opportunity.

If the pylons' existence is found to be unacceptable by some members of the group, then while those with Holds take out the greens, those without holds can work on the Pylons.
I agree with this 100%. As a kin with recall friend, if someone dies, I can port them near a pylon, give them a wakey and then use the pylon to heal and give them back endurance.

Sometimes I think it just comes down to that some people just don't like being told what to do even if it's in their (or the team's) best interest.

    Burned Out

Anyone else feeling burned out after a week of LGTFs?

I figured it was the easiest way to do some damage on the last assist badge so I jumped on as many as I could. As of last night I was 45/50 on that last badge.

But now I'm finding myself really burnt out - to the point where I was getting really frustrated during the runs.

I know people sometimes do silly things, but when a team leader politely asks you -not- to do something, and then you do it anyways... ugh.

    Just venting x.x
  7. All in all I think the event went pretty well. Yea, there were a couple of bumps, but you know what? It happens. You can't predict everything and there's only so much you can do with the resources you have and the limitations upper management places on you. You're never going to please everyone all of the time - that's a fact of life. You guys made a lot of people happy and I think the overall reception to the event was pretty positive. My only gripe was the Twitter post in that for a lot of people it didn't show up if they weren't logged in. Though, there were people who weren't logged in who saw it anyways - so I'll consider that more of an issue on Twitter's side :-P

Anywho, just one player's opinion on the event. I liked it. I thought it was nice of you guys to give free stuff. And I thought it was in good taste that you guys acknowledged the issues and responded to it.

Can't wait for the next event! (More costume codes please!)

    *shrug*

I can type 80wmp on a good day.

I also had two browser windows - the 2nd with my account logged in and on the "enter serial code" page.

A friend of mine had given me a tip about entering those weird number/letter codes - say the letters/numbers out loud while typing. And to my surprise, it does help quite a bit when entering.

I got my code then posted that they were up.

I only mentioned they were up because of the Twitter fiasco.

    Edit/

The only reason I didn't post that I got one in the first post was to let people know asap that the codes were up. I thought I was being helpful, heh.
  10. I was able to nab one. WOOT!!

    As per the announcement:

    Quote:
On Friday, February 18th, we will be paying a visit to every single City of Heroes live server and handing out codes for the anxiously anticipated Animal Pack coming out February 23rd! As usual, the party's in Pocket D under the watchful and playful eye of DJ Zero! Come dressed in your wildest fit-for-the-jungle / safari-fabulous outfit and who knows, you may leave with an Animal Pack code on the spot!

As for Facebook, unless they're posting it to friends only you should be able to see it regardless, I think. Don't quote me on that, though.
I had been checking the Twitter page since 1pm EST. And I never saw the announcement.

On a whim, I logged into my Twitter account around 2:30pm EST and then saw that announcement was posted 1 hour prior.

I don't know if that was a Twitter or a browser issue, but VERY annoying!! Arg.

Being Level Shifted with the rare Alphas only make things like that even simpler.
I pretty much agree with this sentiment. In fact, I was just commenting to a friend last week that the STF seemed much easier than I remembered it being.

(We attributed this to IOs/slotting/experience, but still)

Back when the STF was first introduced I had kept a running list of how many successes and fails I had on it - and the list was pretty much 50/50.

In the many years I've been playing CoH, I've learned that it really comes down to the players and not so much the ATs. If you've got a group of people who are focused and actually paying attention to things, and know how to use the characters they're playing, things in this game are pretty easy.

This past week I've run 15 STFs and have only had 1 bad experience. We ultimately got the TF completed but boy was it frustrating (it was on the Recluse part).

TL;DR You don't need a specific team and YMMV

I knew there was a reason I liked you, Keen

When I launch CoH I always bypass the updater.

And yea... I had NO CLUE about this 100mb patch.

When the servers went back up - I would've had to patch then.

But thanks to you, I'm downloading (at a crawling 85kps... UGH) and will be updating prior.

So with that, I love you Keen. You are my savior this evening.

    Servers Down

    :O

    It's Wednesday.

    It's Hami raid day.

I rushed home to find the servers were down.

    Starting to suffer from withdrawal...

    :I :O :I :O :O :O :O

    *slowly spins in chair*
  16. I had bee a subscriber on and off to Wizard and Toyfare for as long as I can remember. This makes me sad.

But what I'm going to miss most is Twisted Toyfare Theatre.

TTT never disappoints and I always get a great laugh out of it.
  17. I was on 3 STFs last night, pretty much back to back to back.

STF #1 - I was hosting. There was one level 50+1 on the team (I think it was only one) and we had no issues aside from a little lag. We had one disconnect but the person returned shortly.

STF #2 - I was a member and was now level 50+1. No issues aside from a little lag.

    STF #3 - See above.

For what it's worth, I had the Nerve Core Partial Revamp slotted and I was using my Fire / Kinetics Controller.

Sadly, no Hamidons were spawned due to dancing yesterday evening
  18. So uh... what are the chances of a raid tonight? :P

I heard some talk in KiTTYland about Tuesday raids being possibly rescheduled.

    *sets down a plate of Klondike bars to lure raiders to the Abyss* >_>;;;;
  19. TA/DP Defender from high 30s to level 50.

    Kin/Rad Defender from 38 to 44.

    Kin / Elec Defender from 32 - 38?

Not horrible, but definitely less than I've done with previous DXP Weekends.

Between patrol XP, how easy it is to get XP and even that new vet reward that gives you patrol XP, it's fairly easy to level up these days.

I see DXP Weekend as more of a social event than a leveling event.

Overall, had a good time and played with awesome people.
  20. I am thankful for: (In no particular order)

-The wonderful people who I've met in-game and visited
-The wonderful people who I've met in-game and have not visited
    -Hamidon Raids
    -The Hamiettes
    -The Danger Dolphins
    -Klondike Bars
    -Nachos
    -The Player Star Rating System
    -/ignore

  22. This makes me wish I could combine both of my accounts.

My *first* account will get this in a couple of weeks... but my *second* account, which is more or less my *main* account now is barely at the 24 month badge...

    Le sigh...
  23. It's Tuesday and it's very slushy here!

BUT the water is always warm in the bowl!

That might be because of the dolphins... but ehhhhh

ANYWAY, see ya in the Abyss tonight!
