Some Ape heads would be awesome - especially since the pack came with an emote that, you know, lets you act like an Ape.

Quote:"[Me] actively rejoicing that others do not have a version that they like..." Please!!!Well Socorro, in this thread as in the other one I detect a tidge too much antic, malicious glee in what you have to say regarding the current status of Bare n' Ugly, you're actively rejoicing that others do not have a version that they like - so I think you and I are done talking.
You're incessant melodrama is just begging to get tagged.
What part of me saying many times now that we should have two faces are you not getting? Fine, don't talk to me, but I'll respond on your thread anyway if you briing this up again.
Have a good one -
Quote:I don't need your sympathy - I have the face I want *chuckle*I am sorry that you don't want us to have a face we paid real-world money for, but.... I did pay real-world money for that face, we all did. And I think we should get what we paid for. If you want a Bare n' Ugly face, you got Classic Steampunk looking right at you in the faces list, this very instant. I feel little sympathy, you have literally dozens of female faces with zero makeup right now in addition to that. And now you want to take away one of the FEW made-up faces we have. Nice.
This is the Suggestions forum, and my suggestion to re-enable the beauty-marked and made-up Victorian Steampuink face is just that: a suggestion. Sorry you dont like it, but I want what I paid for.
Seriously, I've posted more than once now that I'm all for there being two versions of Victorian Steampunk
Classic Steampunk isn't the same face; it has different eye color and tilt, etc. I don't really get how you somehow think they're pretty much the same face, save one had no red lips from the beginning. They're not the same - end of story, so stop telling me I could have just chosen Classic Steampunk if I wanted 'Bare n' Ugly'. I prefer Victorian Steampuck. I even preferred it over Classic Steampunk when it had Red Lips. Now that it doesn't, I prefer it that much more.
And you can suggest a thousand times to have the Victorian Steampunk face reverted. I shall continue letting the Devs know, each time the topic comes up, that some of us like the change they made.
The best fix by far is two faces, the original and current, or makeup options that exactly reproduce one or the other, and I'm for that just as much as you are. But again, I'm 100% against a simple reversion. -
It could be exactly like Spider-Man, 'cept where he uses webs, we use ropes, but everything else is the same. We could even have rope-shooters. It could work...

Quote:XOXOHugs. I admire you for standing up for what you want, and you have every right to do so.
The solution is probably being worked on right now, but with the art assets tied up, we might not see a solution for quite a while.
I just wish the Devs would tell us what is what with this bruhahah, so we can go back to happily anticipating the upcoming issue.
Mayhaps the saloon girl has red lips..I have not gone to Barnes&Noble yet.
Lisa.
Heck, I'd use 'Red Lips' for at least 1 of my 5 slots of both were available -
Quote:As is your right, and it doesn't offend me in the slightestI have been quiet on this topic because I am so 100% wanting a solo path for Incarnate goodness that I feel if I react negatively about anything else I will appear to be a Negative Nellie..but, but, I did like the red lips. It was different from anything else we have, and we cannot use the lip colors we currently have to get that sharpness...if we did, I would remain quiet, but we don't....and so....
What brought me into expressing my opinion was your challenge. So, I fear that everytime you express your wants..I will do the same.
Quote:...The red lips and beauty mark were part of advertised goods that we spent real life money for.
It is not good business practice to advertise one thing, and give the paying customers another...I am not sure about the Virtual Market, but in real life this sort of thing would have the BBB knocking on one's doors.
So, we need to be issued two faces..one red lipped and one freshface, or have the red-lipped face but with an option to wash off the makeup, or give us the ability to recreate those red lips in the CC.
They put up a red-lipped, beauty marked face for sale, and by Jingo, lawfully, we should have what they sold us.
Black Pebble, you are experienced in advertising law, what say you about this situation?
Devs, /signed to keeping current Steampunk Vickie and also giving back the original one.
See?
Still, I do not want the original back at the expense of the current, despite the somewhat distasteful way it got that way. -
Quote:Honestly...because I really, really, REALLY like the 'plain jane' Victorian Steampunk face, and I have a slight worry that, instead of making two faces (1 for you, 1 for me), they might just change it back to the red lips to placate request like yours. I don't want that to happen, sorry. Your loss is my gain. You know, I have no idea why it threatens you so much that I am requesting the ADDITION of the original female Victorian Steampunk face to the costume creator. You are more than welcome to Bare 'n Ugly. HAVE AT IT. In fact as of now you have TWO Bare n' Ugly Steampunk faces to choose from, lucky you! I'm glad you love them; or I would be if I cared what faces you use on your characters.
Meanwhile, some of us are requesting this option, whether you like it or not - and I am aware that you are giving lip-service to the idea of freedom of choice, yet you keep appearing in support of Bare n' Ugly. Trend noticed.
As far as the suggestion of a request for refund, I just might do that. The main reason I bought the pack was for access to the female Victorian Steampunk face, and the Victorian corset chest-detail. As I type, both of these things are severely broken.
I truly am all in favor of two faces (or makeup to faithfully reproduce what you once had), but if that isn't an option, I want the face to stay as it is, and will voice that any time this topic comes up. Bring it up again and see... -
Didn't we go thru this once before ???
Again, I have no problem with there being two Victorian Steampunk faces (or viable makeup options to perfectly simulate both).
But if they're gonna stick with just one face, then again, I strongly prefer the 'Bare-n-Ugly' steampunk face (I prefer simplistic elegance myself) over the cranberry-lipped tart we had prior to the great fix
/signed to two Steampunk Victorian faces
/unsigned to reverting back to Miss Tomato Mouth -
I put the Panacea Proc in Health on my SS/WP Brute simply because I wanted all 4 Heal Procs (Panacea, Numina, Miracle, & Regen. Tissue) there. It's lark thing - don't ask me why
But the sucker cost me about 1.8 billion... It is most definely not worth what I paid for from a 'Numbers' standpoint, but then, neither are Lamborghinis... -
If only all AT and all Alignments could go anywhere.
Villains are allowed on Blueside - I bash Hellions, Malta, Family, etc in PI all the time. If only Villainous PCs had some Villainous contacts and Mission Arcs there. Wouldn't it be nice flavour wise if you, flagged as a Villain, had Longbow and PPD attack you when they saw you?
Same with Redside. There's plenty of heroing to be done over there. Honestly, a 'Nation' that blocks all "Good People" from even entering is as ludicrous as it sounds. A better approach is that it's a corrupt government who minions (ie Arachnos mobs) attempt to arrest/remove those who might distabilize the regime (ie. Heroes and Vigilantes). Truly that's just fluff anyway - Arachnos already attack everyone on sight, Villains included.
One could argue that it's not realistic to allow Villains and Heroes to walk around side by side and not fight each other. How is that much different that my Vigilante joining a bunch of Villains (whom he normally bashes) on a ST to defeat the Freedom Phalanx?
One open world - then all this talk of redside/blueside populations would go away, as it should. -

None of my 3 main 50s have a travel power. Narry a problem...

Where can we view earned Paragon Points?
-
Any serious purpler, regardless of AT, will be getting most them from the market. Crafting and selling IO drops, I can generate a couple billion in just a few weeks. Couple weeks ago I decided I wanted to get Mu Ball Lightning (Targeted AoE) and I wanted a 5-piece Ragnarok set in it. Did I start farming for that set? Nope, I used a few billion I'd earned in a few weeks and instantly bought a full set.
btw, I'm not a serious marketeer nor do I run 5 tips every day for A-Merits. I spend just few minutes at the market each play session, I just craft and sell IOs that I've randomly gotten during normal play and that are going for over a million, and the Inf flows in. Gravy. -
Quote:This looks decent, but the other Victorian face, which I much prefer; I couldn't do anything to cover up those bright red lips.I think the original makeup was better and it is definitely steam-punk/victorian themed.
It's silly if you think the old make up choices are better than the preset ones. I would rather keep the original and layer it with lighter tones.
Here is an example of what you could do before and you can't now:
The stuff with X are the too red-ish and too light to use. They become too red and it clashes. The lighter skin on the other hand are not very good, especially when you use the old make up like lipstick, Make Up 1, Make Up 2, Make Up 3, Make Up 4, Make Up 5.
The little guide is what we can use for now so it does not look very ugly-ish until the changes. -

Quote:Ahhh... The Victorian Face I *didn't* like had no makeup. I thought it did but I didn't like that face so never noticed that much.No. One had lipstick and a beauty-mark, one was sans makeup.
This is one reason I'm so angry: we ALREADY HAD a no-makeup Steampunk Pack face. One big reason I bought the pack was for access to that made-up face!
Well...sorry you're angry and empathize with your frustration to some extent (feel it's a bit overblown), but I really love the victorian face this squabble is over. It has just the right eye tilt, full lips, etc, that I've been looking for. No other face looks quite like it does.
You say if I wanted a Victorian face I could have chozen that other one. Here's the deal; I don't want a 'Victorian' face per se, I just wanted that one particular face and it happened to have 'Victorian' labeled on it. I liked it so much I even took it when it had its bright red lipstick, which I detested...and I was quite pleased when they removed it. I care nothing for the other Victorian face.
I'm not sure why they couldn't come with a makeup option that restores the original look you want, but regardless if they do or do not, I strongly do not want the 'default' to be the lipstick. Sorry some go jilted by the same thing that pleased me, but MMOs have a tendency to do that.
Of course if they do restore the lipstick look as the default, I won't throw a Victorian Melodrama hissy over it -

Quote:I agree it's an elegant idea. So, what would the base buff be? Half of your potential? Say, 35% damage bonues and 20% resist bonus (round up).Wow. I -love- this idea. It's elegant. This is my new favourite fix for the inherent. It means we're not punished for soloing or playing on small teams, but we're still doing that 'niche-filling' thing that PBs are supposed to do.
Also it doesn't fully address the Mez Protection you get from Trollers and Doms. Do you always get 1 pt of Mez protection? Do you lose it if you team with anything other than a Troller/Dom? -
Well, the two Victorian faces are different enough that I use one and don't care to use the other. And it's the perfect face for me from all that's available. I detested that Red Lipstick though, and am glad it's gone. If they put it back, I'm lilkely to do what some have done here and get another face...which would suck cuz I love the classic face.
Now, I'm in full agreement that an option should have been left in to keep the Red Lips as they were (be it another face, another makeup option). Heck I'd be fine if the default face was red lips if I could use a makeup option to completely recolor them to natural lip tones. -
Without the red lipstick, classic Victorian is my fave. female face. Leave it be!

While I never thought that each form having its own set of powers (excluding all powers from other forms) was a great idea, with things as they are, some power, such as Buildup, really should be allowed usage in forms. You lose almost half of your 'Buildup Time' as you fire it, then scramble to shift to Nova/Dwarf and fire off an attack or two before it expires.
