Maybe it'll be that those with City Traveler don't have to have 2 Powers picks for the tier 4

I bet the whole point of this thread was an elaborate plan to get that pun out.
Think of it as a playful pout then. Could've used a wink but GG's got a monopoloy on those *snicker*

    Rocket Boards?

Hmmmm... grays out powers like walk. I suppose it has to have significant downside compared to regular fly.

I'm fine with it making click powers unusable but why does it have to undo toggles? If it's a code issue I understand (but wish they'd find a way to get around it) -- but if it's a decision thing, then why???
  5. Well, I'll swapping replacing a Hecatomb Set with those Brute IOs on my SS/WP Brute. The recharge is almost as good. That 2.5 s/l defense will softcap me. That bonus to Health will boost my Regeneration. And that Fury bonus; not sure how big a bonus it is, but any increase in Fury generation is nothing but good.

I'd like to keep those Hecatombs, but all my other attacks have Kinetic Combats; sadly, no room. My Tanker will get them I guess...
  6. Don't let your true gender be known in-game, most times problem will be solved.
If you're playing a female toon and getting harassed, tell them you're a guy.
Play some male alts. Playing a dude isn't so bad, even though when they run it looks like they have a stick up their ****
  7. Since the Patch, all bodies of water pulse, like a strobe light...

Does this mean my Graphics Card is now out of date?

Big difference...
The 4th power should still be gated to level 20. Yes, picking a teir 4 pool power at level 20 without having to 'waste' picks on other powers will make you a bit stronger, but overpowering...? I just don't see it.

Oh well, we're getting lots of good stuff so I mustn't overly complain.

Well, when they give us free travel powers (Ninja/Beast Run, Steam Jump), IOs that let us solo 'Master Of' TFs, and of course Incarnate Powers that turn us all into Tankmages, somehow, us being overpowered seems to be one of the least of their worries.

I guess they have to draw the line somewhere haha

    My Sentiments exactly...

This was a great move, but it falls just short. Why not have the 4th Power require only a single previous pool pic, or even none at all (but you have to be level 20 to get it). I've never understood why pool powers are gated by having to pick other powers first. It can't be because the Devs are worred about power-creeping, not with all these IOs, Incarnate and Temp powers they've been unloading on us.

Our Primaries/Secondaries are our bread and butter, but no one power has a 'must have a previous power' requirement. Level gating for all powers, main and pool, is really sufficient.

Oh well, I've lost nothing, save my premature excitement

That's fine, but what about the 3rd power, per my OP?
  14. I'd really like some clarification if it's out there.

I've read where the Travel Pools are getting a 5th power, and that the 3rd Power (The travel power) will be available at lvl 4 without having to prior pick powers 1 or 2. This is an awesome and welcome change - one I've suggested before on threads here and there.

I've also heard (but this is more hazy and what I'd really like good confirmation on) is that all the Power Pools will be getting the "Pick Power 3 at lvl 4 while ignoring the first 2" treatment. Is this true as well? If so, does it apply to Epic Pools?

Man, I'm hoping! Can't wait to say goodbye to Boxing

Scorpion Shield (from mace mastery) goes a looong way to softcapping you to S/L. My Thugs/Traps MM currently is (took Maneuvers, Weave, and Combat Jumping to get there but well worth it)

  18. Ahh..the softcap... For the record, my SR scrapper has 48%+ Def to all positional (51% when I have vet drone out, until it gets killed in 2 seconds or less), still there are time I just don't believe the softcap is the be-all and end-all it's made out to be.

Take my WP Brute -- I had her up to 46% S/L Def, and she was really sturdy as heck. But I really wasn't satisfied with her AoE. So, I gutted one of her Melee attacks containing Kinetic Combat, along with Tactics which had that ToHit IO set that provides SL def (can't remember name). Suddenly she's at 40.9 S/L Def, but she has Mu ST Lightning and Mu Ball Lighting slotted with good IO Sets. With the extra AoE damage (and reactive of course), she's taking out Mobs much faster, thus isn't getting hit as much, thus seems MORE sturdy in play.

Softcap is really good, but some things (like losing AoE potential) aren't quite worth reaching it, IMO.
  19. Just threads (at trial drop rate) and a random component at the end (limited to once a day)

    /very signed!

An Astral at the end of each mish too?

okay, I'm good with no astrals/empyreans - those can be the trials' special thingies.
  20. My characters pretty much don't follow canon storyline save as a sort of backdrop for my own personal storyline. If I'm fighting Council soldiers in canon, then I'm fighting some Nation's soldiers in my personal storyline. Vanguard and Longbow = UN-type Organizations.
None of my character's powers come from the established origins or incarnates either.
  21. Any new costume parts, hairstyles...?

I had a PB with 6 full purple sets and all the other awesomesest (hehe) IOs and I know I player her well - none of that ever gave me 300% damage bonuses and 85% resist to Everything *while* having Pets out. Yes, Warshades powers are often situational (needing bodies) but when those situations exists in the game 95% of the time... Well I'm not that great at math, but even I see the obvious.

This is a losing battle. The Best Played Warshade outperforms the Best Played PB.

The worst played Warshade might be outperformed by the worst played PB, because Warshades are a little harder to play (requiring more timing and being able to spot oppurtunities, which the 'worst' player might not do so well) while PBs are more 'plug and play'. But this should *not* be the yardstick we're measuring things by,

Can we PLEASE make it Statesman who dies? He's been the bane of all of us for far too long.
That'd be cool. His death can be followed shortly by the appearance of: Eradicator Stateman, Cyborg Statesman, StatesSteel, and Statesboy.

  25. I think I may have been on that Lambda (Scrapper called Tanhauser). Marauder went down so fast everybody just stood around for a sec going Huh..? Wha...? Wow...!!!

Man if was refreshing too, The two previous Lambda I'd been on failed (1st time failing two of those in a row since 2 weeks right after I20). Not to threadjack, but has anyone else noted Trials not working like Clockwork anymore?

For several months, BaFs and Lambda being completed easily was taken for granted by me. Every once a while a small glitch, but lately, the last week I've been on 3 Lambas that failed outright (tons of doors left open), and many BaFs where the 2 AVs were not killed close enough together and thus rezzed to dish it out again (on 2 BaFs they rezzed twice).

Have people become a bit complacent on the trials and not quite watching things close enough anymore? Maybe it's just a spell and just leagues I've been on...
