Would like to take part in these but the timings are against EU players. Oh well.

I wish that the female corsets were available in Jackets, Sleeveless Jackets and Trench Coat, and the male loincloth available as a short/kilt option.

Quote:You see, a costume piece or two isn't worth a single lump sum of £300 (what I'd have to pay to get to tier 9). Especially when we're already subscribing. As we don't get tokens all at once for multi-month sub plans it'll take around two years for me to get there.Usually good business moves are jerky ideas. From a business stand point its a great idea. People see the new shiny and actually have a chance to get it right now, unlike the old system.
Think about how many people, just yesterday, bought 10's of thousands of points just to get tier 9. In the long run this was a good idea for the games longevity. The more cool stuff they keep throwing in those slots the more people are going to throw money at them trying to get to that VIP status. Even if its just 15 per month for 1 extra token to help them get to VIP that much faster. If they put it up for sale people wont dish out the cash to get to VIP as fast.
Its a good move for the game any way you look at it. You can moan and complain about it until your teeth fall out and it probably wont matter. This whole award system was to improve the game and make it thrive, not to complete peoples wardrobes.
I'd gladly buy a version of Celestial armour from the store that didn't have the glow-tech in it, leaving that as a special perk for tier 9 VIPs. -
So that'll be two years before I can get to the first VIP reward. Hope this gets fixed soon because, well, I can't afford to keep a subscription going as well as buying enough points to get closer to tier 9.

Bah! I really like those pieces but I'll be barely into tier 5.

I thought it was established that there would be new content would be added weekly to the market.
If not, it should be weekly. -
I'd rather not see another pure Melee AT - there are already too many of them. I'd rather see something like Assault but with a higher emphasis on Melee attacks than Ranged, some light Control instead of some PBAoE and a damage toggle aura instead of a debuff aura. Removing the PBAoEs would be for balance issues so you can't run in, Fulcrum Shift and then kill everything in one hit.
So instead of it being like:
Ice Bolt
Ice Sword
Ice Sword Circle
Ice Blast
Power Boost
Frost Breath
Chilling Embrace
Ice Slash
Bitter Ice Blast
It would be like:
Frozen Fists
Ice Blast
Ice Patch
Ice Sword
Build Up
Frost Breath
Icicles
Bitter Freeze Ray

Not sure if this has been asked at all, but on the 1st October I am supposed to be getting my 27 month veteran reward. Obviously the headstart means I won't get that in October. So I want to know if I will get the reward token for having a month of already paid-for subscription when the headstart launches?... If that makes sense...
Also, getting reward tokens all in one go may tempt me to change from a three month subscription plan to a six month one. -

I'm slowing down on my Grav/Energy and Plant/Thorn Dominators because Primal Forces can't be customised and there isn't a Body Mastery type APP for Dominators. I believe one of the Devs has said that they're interested in filling in conceptual holes in APPs... It'll probably be a really long wait though. Oh well, I have other things to play.
-
Not sure if it's the correct place but as it's to do with power effects I'll post my request here.
I would really like to see an Icicle option for Spines and Thorny Assault. The Crystals option is ok as a work-around but it doesn't have the pastel palette that the Ice sets use which makes it really difficult to match up. It won't do part cold damage but that doesn't really matter considering you can get elemental shields for Shield Defence. -
It is a new set.
Quote:Going to nip this potential rumor in the bud. There is no immediate plan to revamp, remove, alter, change, nerf or buff this archetype as a whole. I never said changes were coming. I said we had plans for the archetype. As in plans for power sets. So, stay tuned for that in the future! (And by future I mean post I21.)
Also, if you didn't see your set proliferated it is likely because we plan on having another round (or rounds) of proliferation in future issues and we only had enough time to implement as many sets as we did.

I agree. Pretty much every Dominator combination plays differently so it's really a case of trying them out.

Actually, Redside is pretty much perfect as it is because it allows you to have a safe refuge from Golden Girl.
No, really. -
Well Ice and Electric Control both benefit from being in melee so out of Energy and Thorny I'd go for Thorny because it has better melee attacks. However, neither Assault option is particularly optimal for Electric Control; firstly Energy Assault has a lot of knockback which goes against Electric Control's strategy of keeping things near you so you can sap, sleep or chain control them, secondly Thorny has a lot of DoT which will break your sleep power. Fire Control is more standard so it'll go well with anything really. To me Ice/Thorny sounds the most interesting, mainly because you can use the crystal customisation in Thorny to look like ice.

Sure you don't mean the version from Poisons?

I actually think in terms of Power Levels and Slot Levels too. I have two characters, both Dominators, stuck in the 30s; one at 34 and another at 32, levels 35 and 38 seem ages away and I don't generally slot IOs until I hit 50 because I have terrible luck with drops and rolls which makes funding IOs difficult and any inf I do get is used to slot up my 50s anyway.
So yeah, I find levels 32-41 to be very arduous and unfulfilling because of the lack of new shinies to play with. -
You can't skip Spears because it's the T1 in the secondary. I also believe that it will be able to damage flying enemies in i21.
-
By that I mean it recharges fast, animates fast but doesn't do much damage. This makes it good for building up Domination. It doesn't really need any more than two or three extra slots, if that.
-
Mesmerise is amazing for sleeping AVs so I'd keep that. I find that Telekinesis from Mind Control is pretty skippable. I'm also pretty sure Mental Blast and Subdue do the same damage and have the same recharge so I find that you can skip one of those, depends if you want more recharge debuff (which you have plenty of) or a single target immobilise (which your primary doesn't have). You can also skip Psionic Lance.
For targeting I find it's easiest to survey a mob first before charging in if you're solo, if not just look for the most threatening; it's pretty obvious most of the time.
My Mind/Psi/Mind goes into melee all the time and survives so it's very viable. -
From what I understand, the damage of all powers except Psychic Shockwave was increased whilst Psychic Shockwave was decreased, making it more balanced.
I wouldn't say Psionic Dart is useful for anything other than for building up Domination though.
As for melee or ranged, it's possible to do pure ranged but with Mind Probe, Telekinetic Thrust and Psychic Shockwave - the former two powers being melee and thus doing more damage than any of the ranged powers - I don't see why you'd want to. Survivability is a moot point when you can lock mobs down with ease. -
The problem was starting in Fort Darwin. Freedom sees to that.

Agreed and already suggested in the All Things Art: FX Edition thread. More suggestions there couldn't hurt though.
