Quote:The starter kit is basically what a player would get if they bought the basic game. And thanks, Snow Globe!
From the way I read the guide, and that makes it sounds like the VIP Starter Kit actually isn't anything; VIPs get Going Rogue anyway.
1 month of VIP status and everything that comes with it.
They'll get 1 free server transfer, 1 Paragon Reward Token for having a retail code on their account (probably a second after the month's play), 400 Paragon Points, access to creating a Praetorian, the GR alignment system, several costume sets, 12 slots/server, several VIP-only powers, controllers, MMs, etc.
Of course most of that goes away after they stop subscribing. -

Quote:Players in this section have been posting that fact since mid-January:I wasn't totally surprised when I could only attach one beacon to it instead of six as advertised--I'm guessing that's because they haven't changed the one-beacon limit on the 1x2 TP room. Annoying, but par for the course.
Quote:Beacons, with the exception of the Teleport Bay, is unlimited. I would assume (based on the fact I haven't touched Beta yet and current knowledge) that won't change just because a teleporter can house 6 beacons by itself.

Quote:Yeah, looks like a change since I made the list. Thanks for the catch, corrected.Hi Snow and the Gang,
Am I missing something?
Did a Masters of DD and got all the badges (Thanks to Crux).
I never got "Rescued and Recovered" for the 4 spines, but did get "Gate Crashed" for it, with all the same text.
Did I miss a change?
Thanks -
For the DD Trials I did, we cleared the guards, had most players just take the spines one at a time and bring them all to 10%-15%, then onto the next. At the fourth spine, we killed it and proceeded around the others, we had a good half-minute to spare.
And Recall Friend did NOT work in the belly of Mot. -

Phase 1:
If going for the "Anti-Antimatter" badge, get him under 10% health during before powering the sixth terminal.
Phase 2:
The EBs will drop 3 power cells randomly among all players in the league.
Phase 2 and 3:
If 6 terminals are "primed" with 1 cell, Anti-Matter doesn't need to be pulled to that terminal.
Phase 3:
If going for the "Bunker Buster" badge, have everyone take 3 doors of one bunker down to 0 at the same time. Repeat with second bunker. Repeat with third bunker.
Phase 3 alternate:
1. Bunkers
a. If there are 3 Illusion Controllers or Stalkers (or a combination) in the league, have them use the stealth vents near the back of the bunkers. This nets 8 power cells per restock.
b. The rest of the league clears the terminals.
c. No bunker doors need to be harmed.
2. Power Up Terminals
a. Those with temp powers should prime 6 terminals around Reactor Infinity before Anti-Matter arrives.
b. WarWorks must not be present.
c. Anti-Matter must be present to use a temp power for the first time on that terminal if the terminal has not been primed.
Phase 4:
4. Time Stop
a. At 80% health, Anti-Matter will freeze time and retreat to north-west recharge bunkers in the Truck Depot
b. At 50% health, Anti-Matter will freeze time and retreat to south-east recharge bunkers in the Truck Depot
c. At 20% health, Anti-Matter will freeze time and retreat to south-west recharge bunkers in the Truck Depot
d. As soon as players can move, they should destroy the terminals around the bunkers (there are three or four). Anti-Matter regenerates health at high speed until the terminals are destroyed. Do not destroy the terminals if going for the "Loves a Challenge" badge.
Additional note: all badges award at the end of a successful trial. -
I didn't say that they were among the most actionable. However my thought process is that if the racial slur was actionable and the Star Wars infringement was actionable, then the character in question had two metaphorical guns to its head. Either one would trigger the action, but it would be a moot point as to which did the character in.

Quote:Ok... So on the Beta, you could get x25 Super Packs for 1 Token. It goes live today, and now it's get x5 for 1 token. Why was this done? I don't get it. I thought x25 for 1 token was fair and just. Considering it's a gamble when you get them, anyway. I know for a fact now, I will be unable to get the Elemental costume set properly.Quote:Back on Beta, when I first found out about the Super Packs, I spent 4 tokens, and got 100 Packs. Sorry, but it was x25. Talking to an NC Rep, they said they did this for testing only, that it was never ment to be 25 on Live, but that people could quickly get them for Beta testing. I remember it clearly, as does my roommate who was also testing beta, and using them. It WAS 25, sorry, not 5.
Edit: It's very possible it was in the earlier beta builds it was 25x, I haven't been on for the last 3 builds.
Quote:Now for the new stuff (12/12/2011):- Super Packs will be available as a Tier 9 Repeatable Paragon Reward Program option. Right now the idea is that players will be able to redeem a Paragon Reward Token for 5 Super Packs. This number is, as is the case with all things in beta, subject to change.
Thanks!

Quote:I tend not to pay attention to the enhancements.Cool, they're on sale again!
(Wonder why they skipped LotG for the sales, though?)
Note that these have actually been in the market for most of last month as part of an extended trial, and may be a permanent addition if they perform well.
Quote:Thanks for posting this update, Snow Globe. I'll get the info on the OP as soon as I can. -
I managed to get into the done club on Sunday. Of course that means that billing is 1 vet badge behind (7 year), Bug Hunter has still not been awarded to me, and Passport is still Passport.
1,308 badges. -

Quote:Actually, the rule of thumb is quite simple: Their service, their rules. It doesn't matter how much fun you are having. Someone harassing another player may be having fun, but it is against the "parks" rules, so they are acted upon. The rule of thumb isn't that simple. There is an equation to it; how much you will enjoy something is weighed against the potential consequences of that act as follows.
Making excuses also doesn't protect you from GM action.
I'm guessing that you've already made the character and are seeking to justify breaking the rules. If so, go somewhere else, because you won't find much (if any) sympathy on the forums for a blatant rules violation. -
Quote:And that would be grounds #2 for the petition. The name is actually a parody of Admiral Akbar from Star Wars. His catchphrase is going to be "It's a trap!" and everything.
Quote:The reason why I ask this isn't just because I probably should avoid it, but because it sounds like I would have a really fun time with this and I really want to do it. Everyone gets a kick out of my joke toons, and last I checked everyone still gets a kick out of Achmed the dead terrorist.
I know one player, after 7 years of naming all his characters with an everyday word, that is now left the game because of GM overreaction to a petition. What is worse is that he belongs to the racial group that the word is taken as a slur against. He had fought (and won) this battle a few years ago, and now the GMs have gone back on their promise to leave this player alone about this naming convention of his. -
Generic Rule: If you have to ask, you probably should avoid it.
Edit:
Come on, use some common sense, you already KNOW people will be upset about that character. It is bound to be reported, and bound to cause GM action against the character. -
Quote:Actually, this is in error as well... There is supposed to be, from officially documented sources (Zwillinger/Black Pebble * and the City of Heroes website), that a player is to get +1 Paragon Reward Token per twelve months of played subscription time. From this point forward, the only area for potential concern is when it's time for the monthly-based VIP rewards to be applied (server transfer tokens, Paragon Points stipend, and Paragon Reward Tokens). I use that phrase (potential concern) loosely, because as long as the game account remains on an active VIP subscription those items will award on a monthly basis.

Quote:I sent a suggestion to Zwill about adding single character slots as a repeatable claim in lieu of losing the annual bonus slot...
... then I hit 7 years and I got my annual slotQuote:According to what I have been told by the support staff, you no longer get free slots on your annual badge because of the paragon points. You can save them and buy slots whenever. -
Without going to the wiki... You can see for yourself by clicking on "Collect" (ie. badges), then selecting "Super Packs"->"Heroes and Villains", and the list will tell you where to find the parts.
