  1. The general concept is pretty much simple arithmatic. Find an item that fluctuates in price. Think if you were the low buyer AND the high seller. How much would you make?

    So if an items last 5 says: 5, 10, 5, 15, 10.
    If you bought at 5 and sold at 15 you'd make: 15 - 10% fee = 13.5 - 5 = 8.5 Profit.

Then compare going from buying a Recipe to selling a Crafted enhancement. Once you get the simply arithmetic and the little ins and outs of the interface then you get to actual business stuff.
  2. Gotchya. Don't work on Plasmas guy. Just give him the money back
  3. The Snake map is quite silly

One account is being canceled and it closes within the week. I'll be contacting the people on that one. The two characters are level 39 and 24 I believe.

I'm thinking about offering to pay back what I haven't earned and am looking at fair amounts. I plan on getting the rest to 50. Just won't be as fast as I initially hoped.

How does level 40 I pay back half, level 35 I pay back 2/3, level 25 I pay back 3/4 sound? Does that sound at least fair?
  4. The 3 MMs with the Crabs were completely worthless once the Arachnos Soldiers hit level 24. I usually left them at the door. Then I stopped even doing that.

The Zombie Team just isn't all that cool. Freezing Rain's Knockdown is just too awesome. It was walk forward. Rain. Win.

Plasma. Your guys are with the 2nd MM Squad. I might try and get everyone to level 35 by the end of the month. I know one of the accounts is being closed. You aren't attached to that one. Could also break the pact and you could log in your own guy and stand in a corner getting all the XPs. I know some tricks that aren't public (yet).
  5. The 3 Crabs are 49. I'll probably be getting the Snake farm later tonight or tomorrow.

The MMs just aren't as fun as the storm MMs on Freedom. It became like work so I'm going to get all the guys probably into the 20-30s by the end of the month and return large portions of the money. It just has gotten like work and I don't really need the money.
  6. Veoh Version

You can sort of tell what happens in this one.
  7. http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...14343465327947

The quality always turns out bad for me on Google/Youtube. I've been trying to upload it to Veoh and have had lots of problems. I threw it up on Google just to get it somewhere. Eventually I'll get it up on Veoh. Veoh usually has fantastic quality for me.

The video is the entire last mission. It's 10 minutes long. Most of the video is at 5x speed because really... who wants to watch all that. The final fight starts at minute 5. The first nictus plays mostly at 2x speed. I figured the first nictus dying is the only part people care about. We died after all the nictus died due to errors between keyboard and chair.
  8. I'm not saying "much higher than the 50 prices" I'm saying "probably much higher than the last 5 history."
  9. I cannot fathom how you would get data to draw such a conclusion. I believe nearly all the items in the 32 and 33 range are in a "shortage" where "the price simply isn't high enough." I don't know how you can compare "too low" and "too low". None of the #s you see are any relevance to comparing which is more. Until some people start posting some higher priced items in those level ranges and testing the market you cannot know.
  10. Duoing the ITF is extremely hard. Great work!

My friends and I have been working on duo Invincible ITF no temps no Imperious Support. We tried virtually every combo of SS/Fire, SS/WP, Fire/Kin Corruptor, Ill/Rad, Fire/Rad Corruptor, Ice/Cold Corruptor and failed. Finally we tried JoJo the Bunny (SS/Elec) and Misty Misty (Emp/Sonic) and got it done. Uploading the video of the final mission now.

You frighten me sometimes you know that right?

Did I mention I was voted most likely to be in prison in 5 years by my college professors?
    [ QUOTE ]
Now when are we doing teh fun itf's on Justice. For that matter i need a fun itf soon on either server

    [/ QUOTE ]
We'll roll on Justice once I have a level 35 character on Justice My Ill/Rad is only in the 20s. I started a 1 Fire/Kin, 2 Fire/Sonic, 2 Fire/FF controllers on Justice who are all level 20-22. They are silly.

Maybe I'll have an easier time getting to 35+ if I am able to purchase some Justice people who can do the work for me at an auction type thing. Any idea when such a thing might happen?

If it's freedom again this time i play the brute again i love the foot stomp

    [/ QUOTE ]

We'll have to figure out a good time for you to Smasherate on the Brute again. If there is a certain Strike Force you want to run we can run that. We ran a ludicrous Relentless RSF the other day. We finished in an hour, barely skipped anything and mostly used a "we're killing everything in out path" strategy. We even Team TP'd into the final showdown with the Freedom Phalanx.
  12. Team 1:
    3 Arachnos Crab Soldiers
    3 Merc/Dark MMs
Right now the crabs are 45 and the MMs are 35-39

    Strategy:
I put the 3 Crabs on my nice fancy desktop. I have 3 windows. A larger one on the left and 2 smaller ones on the right where one is above the other. The two crabs on the right are following the one on the left and firing through their target. My buttons are setup 4 for Venom, 5 for Frag, 3 for Suppression. My right two crabs have Venom on autofire. The MMs stand at the door of missions and pick their noses. They aren't worth bringing.

    Strategy:
I walk the Crab on the left up to a pack in ideal cone rage. I click target a boss and push the 4 key. Three Venom Grenades fire (two on auto). I push the 3 Key for suppression. Click window on upper right, 3 for 2nd suppression. Click window on lower right, 3 for 3rd suppression. Click window on left, 5. Click, 5. Click, 5. I can fire all 9 attacks without any pauses in animation.

Spawn is dead. Next pack. I wish I had made the three MMs as 3 more crabs. I figured 3 was my limit on max firing Suppression/Frag grenade. I was probably right. However, the Mercs just don't really do anything. It be nice to have more Crabs when my bros/friends are able to play.

The Thug/Storms played in a similar manner. I drove the first one into a pack. Dropped 2 Freezing Rains (of 4 or 5 possible). The enemies died. I walked to the next pack and dropped the other 2 Freezing Rains. It's quite silly.

I'm hoping the Zombie Squad works in a similar manner.
  13. The 3 Crabs are all 45. The MMs are all in the 35-39ish range. The MMs just stink compared to the crabs. I'll probably do some silly things with the crabs at 50 to cheat the MMs to 50.

The 2nd team I want to start at a higher level. They are scattered at lots of levels. I'm getting the Kinetics to 38 and hoping to start playing them when at least all are 28.

Or I may just take the 3 Crabs to the Snake level 50 map and smash 50-100 52 snakes at a time with guys in tow.
  14. Excel and/or Open Office have an automagic command for it. There are so many variations of standard deviation that I'm not 100% sure which one it uses.

If the LoTG:recharge was priced as per the average price per merit of 509,925, it would be selling for 101,985,000 infamy. Selling for 85 mill, it means that anyone deciding to go for the sure thing is missing out on 16.985million potential infamy if they would have instead used those merits on just random rolls. Translating the 16.985mil infamy back into merits using the average price per merit, it only appears that the sure thing would cost someone one recipe and some change. Not a bad tradeoff- for now.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Why don't you use the Max PPM # in bold at the top? You know, the big important one, that is supposed to be used for opportunity cost.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
    Thanks for posting the links.
It's interesting to see that the LoTg: recharge (85mill) bears an opportunity cost of 16.985mil redside which translates back to ~33 merits.

    What are you talking about?
  17. I would like a new "Super JoJo" costume. Thanks to saving costumes and looks to text files this should be pretty easy for me to steal some of your ideas... I mean learn from the best.

    My Current 5 Costumes

    1. JoJo the Bunny - The television star from the children's TV program "Happiness Valley"
    2. Super JoJo - Looks like the easter Bunny got in a fight with a Bubble Gum wrapper
    3. Eric. The unemployed disgruntled actor.
    4. Evil JoJo - One bad mamma jamma
    5. Ebil JoJo - In yur marketz, stealin yer lootz

I'd like to replace #2. I'd really like to use wings or a cape or something cool. I used to have a Toga look with little tiny wings. I'm open to any ideas. A new Super JoJo would be nice. A new NOT Super JoJo look would be cool too.

Let me see your best options to replace "Super JoJo"
  18. The 3 Crabs have hit 40. The 3 Merc/Darks are 35+. Doesn't look like any will be getting Patrons. The stupid 10 mini-arc limit prevents me from doing my Patron arc. No, I'm not going to do one of those other arcs to get my Patron to talk to me.
  19. The Soldiers are now level 33 (well 5 of 6). Back and Brawler showed up again. Luminary showed up at a bank too. Amusing Ran the Hard Luck arc twice. Should easily get the soldiers into ITF range over 2xp Weekend. Hopefully get the Zombies to the upper 20s/low 30s too.
  20. "Average" certainly means something. I may mean to convey what "averages" means by utilizing clever language but sometimes my meaning is lost. A mean person may attempt to explaining the meaning of "average" in a way that means something but they might fall short. I will leave meaning to mean something up to you guys.
  21. The team ran the Sharkshead/Renault/Leviathan/Temple of Waters/25-30 Strike Force twice. We ran lots of other stuff too. I believe the whole team is 31.

I just did a bank mission. We had everyone scatter to the winds and fly high. Then assembled to the door of the bank awaiting the "ambushers of death." I had two lowbie friends with me. They commented they couldn't target an enemy before the Longbow were dead. Back Alley Brawler showed up. The MMs had enough time to actually drop Darkest Night and Tar Patch. I think he lasted 3 Venom Grenade Volleys. It was a good long fight of... 30 seconds or so.
  22. I tested updating the spreadsheets. If you can see the word "NOOODLES" in the upper left of the Heroside Spreadsheet it is updated automagically.
  23. Dr Robert's Merit Price Index.

Dr Robert has created spreadsheets to track market prices and merit prices of Task Force and Trial Recipes. The spreadsheets currently do not include other options. Some players have volunteered to help Dr Robert collect the data. The #s will be updated whenever possible.

PPM = Price Per Merit. One can understand this as "this is how much Inf I can get for every merit I have." Average means something. You should look up what average means. The format of the spreadsheets is constantly being updated to more accurately describe the data and history of the data. This data is constantly changing and always out of date.

Dr Robert is a Dr. That means you should trust him.

    Heroside
See sheet for latest date of update

    Villainside
See sheet for latest date of update

    *EDIT**************
    How to Help

If you want to help please send me a PM with the price data. Please collect all the data on a single day. Please clearly label which side you have collected the data. You can collect all the data heroside, villainside or both. Please include every IO included on the spreadsheet. Also include the date and the day of the week. I will do my best to include your updates with the data. I cannot promise that I will do so. I may disregard your data if its in the improper format or if I think the numbers are fuzzy or innaccurate. The #s listed are "my best guess at Equilibrium Price." That is NOT last 5 average. "My best guess of Equilibrium Price" is a subjective human estimation that can't really be defined systematically. Likely, if I don't include your data its simply because I'm lazy. Don't take it personally if I don't include your data. I appreciate all the help I can get. As does Dr Robert. He's a Dr. You can trust Drs. I'm just lazy.

Two Excellent Formats I can think to use to PM me the data:
    A) Make a google account. Make a spreadsheet. Copy the format. Type in your numbers. If you just do the "F" column and list lots and lots of prices thats good enough. Just leave a little gap between the 100 Pool Cs (Task Force) and the 10 or so Ds (Trials). If you want to get all fancy and make a full copy thats cool too. Don't worry about calculating the PPM. The spreadsheets I have can do that easily/quickly. I just want column F. Make sure to include the date, side, day of the week, etc. Make sure your column F is in the same order as my column F. You don't need to label the #s if its in the right order.

    B) Send me a PM on the boards with the prices. Write the date, day of the week, side etc. Write all the pricess down in a big column. You don't need to label them. Just keep them in the same order as the original spreadsheet.

    Example
    Thursday. October 56th. Greenside.

    The big 3 are priced
    Miracle 20 - 421
    LotG 25 - 24123
    Numina 30 - 5412

    Task Force
    312
    412
    2141
    5123
    ...(90 or so later)
    124

    Trial
    5123
    12
    ... (7 later)
    131
  24. I tried the Sky Raider Strike Force at level 21. That would be fighting level 25-26s on the lowest difficulty. Kind of like Relentless plus 2 levels... or the 9th difficulty setting. The team could do it but the damage was so low. So I dropped that, went back to newspaper missions on Relentless, dinged 22 and took a break.

At 22 I got to equip that huge pile of IOs I had in base. Restarted the Task Force. Six Special Forces soldiers fighting Sky Raider at 25/26. That would be like difficulty 7, or Relentless/Invincible +1 level. It was murder. My brother commented that Tar Patch wasn't even worth using. The enemies died too fast. A total mauling. We dinged 23 in the first mission and cranked it all the way to relentless for mission 2. Back to "Difficulty 9". We crushed the entire thing and ended at level 25.

We might be able to get to 35 before 2XP weekend. I'll probably use 2XP weekend to startup the 2nd squad. Mix 3 Special Forces/3 Zombies. Keep an eye out for Special Forces ITFs on Virtue. We'll probably look for people who are 1-2-3 levels above the squad and then run the TF on Invincible/Relentless.
