First, let me tell a story

There are two men in the Savannah in Africa. They see a charging lion in the distance. One starts panicking! "What are we going to do? We are doomed! What are you doing? Why are you putting on your running shoes? You can't outrun a lion!" -- "I don't have to outrun the lion. I just have to outrun you."

I think this concept should be applied to Tankfenders. You don't have to be incredible directly out of the box. You don't need to softcap all defense types. You just have to be more survivable than your teammates. Do crazy things. Jump into piles of aggro. Head straight for the mobs. Your teammates will think "Hey, if he can do it I can too." But they can't You are built to do it better than they are built to handle ginourmous amounts of aggro.

When they die hit Vengeance

Now you really can handle all that aggro

This statement is very far from the truth. Many global channels are full. Certainly not all of the good ones. Most of the full ones I consider "bad".

The mobs will spawn at level 20 on the lowest difficulty setting regardless of team level. Only the team leader's difficulty setting matter. If the team leader changes in the middle the new team leader's difficulty will be in use in the next mission he selects and starts.

I recommend getting as many players 19 and above on this Task Force as possible to start. Team Composition as it relates to powersets and archetypes is always irrelevant in my book. I'd simply try to get 4-6 people in the 19+ range with hopefully some players malefactoring down. Some of the missions are actually tougher with a full team. You will want enough to defeat an Archvillain. The archvillains are relatively weak so 4 to 6 level 19+s shouldn't have too much of a problem though.

Someone should write a guide on Brute endurance management.

I'd think about getting Fallout. Many very experienced and very skilled players will do extra crazy things fully harnessing your ability to Fallout. Fallout is almost 2 Warburg Nukes rolled into one.

I just think it is the most fun thing ever as well.

I frequently horde up trillions of Malta, Rikti etc. and the stuns do often break through. Sometimes I just use Power Surge for bonus mez protection

Here's the outrageous SS/Elec build I use on live. Focus is on +HP and recharge. The idea is that I can find a giant stack of inspirations before my Hit Points go from about 2100 to zero. Some of the holes were for PvP IOs or things I was too lazy to drop in.

How soon do you want the damage to start? Do you want area damage or single target damage? Many of the suggested pairs are very late bloomers. Though when they do bloom the damage is truly outrageous.

I can do 10 M for you 1 to 1 no problem.

I "bought out" one level pacter for 150M who was at level 39 or 40. Thus 1-40 for 200M total. He wanted to play his toon on another server right away The second level pacter hit 50 tonight. Finally had some free time at my own computer at took him from 41? 43? to 50 today. The last one is at 48 and 1/2 or so.

Well, any active server should have something to interest you. Your list includes the 1st, 2nd and 4th most active servers (I don't know how Victory ranks). Infinity is #3.

I'm mostly on badge channels but Infinity Hamidon is a general TF channel for the 99% of the time where there isn't a Hamidon raid taking place or being planned.

I've been trying a lot of the global channels on various servers and they have been mostly filled with "We need X" and "Speed TF runs or kill alls... what else is there". I'm trying to get the least amount of that stuff. I'm looking for: "hey, come on down bring whatever and we'll go shoot stuff and be fine" when forming Task Forces.

I think everything can work in City of Heroes. The only combo of Primary/secondary that I ever thought was at odds with itself is an Energy/Fire blaster. Fire Melee wants lots of guys standing around close. Energy Blast wants to put all the guys far away.

I'm looking to expand and branch out to more servers. I'm a quirky, needy, spoiled and picky player and I'd like to start off with the servers with global channels that are the best match for me.

Most important to me is a global channel with a large amount of players who like to blow stuff up. I don't participate on teams that say "we need x" but I can understand that different players have different styles of what is fun to them. I can tolerate some "team looking for x" stuff but I heard one channel say something like "We have thermal shields and force fields but we need an emp healer for this TF". I'd prefer to look elsewhere if that is the predominant/common thing in the global channel.

I also understand that some people like to sometimes do speed runs or kill all runs or other things. I want to open the door to the mission and shoot the guys I see between the end and me. I don't do "tactics" or "strategy". The extent of my playskill is "close eyes" "throw fireball". I'm going to turn the difficulty to 5 and run at the bad guys. I do this for each and every Task Force and Strike force regardless of who's on my team and what the common perception of "this is how this TF is done" may be. Statesman and Recluse Task/Strike Forces included.

Currently I have a huge presence on Freedom. I have no problem filling up teams with my friend list alone. I greatly enjoy playing on Virtue already. I've got a few global channels there where I can form up Task Forces with all my pick and quirky needs. I've also already branched out to Justice and Victory.

So besides those 4 servers I'm looking to branch out to another with a great Global Channel community. I can tolerate players who like other playstyles. I understand different people like different things.

I am looking to find the global channel on a server that's not Freedom, Virtue, Victory nor Justice that has the biggest amount of people who like to just charge!

My best is somewhere between 5 and 6 hours, which included the server crashing for 10 minutes. I'm sure that could have been more refined, organized and efficient and broken 5. Then I know a few other tricks that could, without a doubt, bring it down to 4 flat.

I do the basic "All AE Boss map" with my SS/Fire Brute and Fire/Kin Corruptor. I think doing a map of all Fake Nemesis bosses would be significantly faster though my duo cannot handle them.

I've been thinking about doing 5-15 minute AE tests to see how fast certain setups are at power leveling. My initial thoughts on how to do this were...
Spawn any map for any number of players.
Have a player of the level you want Exemplar/Malefactor a level 50 running herostats to that specific level. Example (we want you as a 45 while we fight 52s, have a level 45 stand outside the map, exemplar a 50 running herostats and the 50 enters)
The beat up peoples go into the map
The 50 runs herostats and sees the Influence per minute

Any suggested changes? Do I need to adjust the total for bosses because they give more Inf than XP?

I have wanted to fight on the upper platform with Rommy and Requiem, but the only time I've ever been there was with a newbie team that apparently got lost. The team was scattered at the time and accidential aggro chased the few of us on the platform off. So we reassembled at ground level with the phalanx of Warbots anyway.

What server(s) do you play on? I'd love to show you how I enjoy doing the Imperious TF. You will die on the Task Force. 9 out of 10 people like my type of dying. You will also get your wish of "I wish we could just jump into X and shoot stuff"... and more.

That goes for anyone else, too. Currently I'm available on Freedom, Virtue, Justice, and Victory. Working on more I crank up the difficulty, pick whoever shows up and isn't afraid of certain death, and then we charge maniacally. Let me know when works for you

I think I have seen you in global channels, Barata. Have you ever done a Task Force with me?

I don't do them for speed. I don't do them for experience. I don't do them for the reward at the end. I don't do them for the badges. I don't do them for the Infamy/Influence.

I run Task Forces to blow **** up.

Click "Enemies Buffed" when starting a Task Force.

Mine wouldn't be popular. But that's ok.

No awakens. No hospitals. No Medical bays. No rez powers. No jails on maps. No ding-rez.

At the same rate it would be 333M Infamy. I'd offer that and I think that I have it on hand. Feel free to shop around etc.
