  1. I've had luck with one petition of this nature. I just had to send in a 2nd today Darn miscalculation.

I know another person who has succeeded with this type of petition.
  2. I reopened my Inf to Inf exchange. I thought I should make you guys aware of my current rates.

100 Influence of yours to 95 Infamy of mine.
100 Infamy of yours to 85 Influence of mine.

I have a large quantity of Infamy. I can handle nearly any amount of your Influence to my Infamy.
I have some Influence. I can handle most amounts.

Send me a response here, a PM here, or a tell in game @Smurphy
  3. Rate change:

    Freedom:
100 Influence of yours into 95 Infamy of mine.
100 Infamy of yours into 85 Influence of mine.

    All others:
100 Influence of yours into 85 Infamy of mine.
100 Infamy of yours into 75 Influence of mine.

    *EDIT*

So... currently... I value Influence more than Infamy. I got Infamy coming out my eyeballs. Please, someone come take it away from me.
  4. Just keep sending me tells in game or watch for me in /chanjoin "The Market"

    can my corr tank

You guys keep saying a lot of silly things splitting hairs on the definition of Tanking.

You can go in first on any archetype if you've got some knowledge, skill and experience. You can soak up all the shots that matter. You can live. All the bad guys can die. If you don't want to call that Tanking that's fine. But your silly statements about running around with your scrapper or PFFing a whole room sound like they go over the aggro cap. The actual City of Heroes "Tank" archetype can't do anything about those outrageous examples you guys came up with too. The actual City of Heroes archetype "Tank" also can die in 1 shot.

Back to the topic, Force Field Generator makes it tough. You've got to always keep in mind where it is and when it's alive. Acrobatics and Hover seem like they both can handle the same purpose.

    can my corr tank

Then you should stop trying to fight in Grandville as a level 6.
  7. Smurphy

    can my corr tank

What if the enemies don't have a second shot?
  8. Smurphy

    can my corr tank

    You are very strange.
  9. Smurphy

    can my corr tank

I don't see how the definition you used can't apply to Corruptors. I especially can't comprehend it when Corruptors have things like teammate buffs that they can give each other, eat inspirations, get patron shields and tough/weave, IO bonuses... should I stop now?
  10. I apologize for my egregious behavior. I hope you do not hold my actions and statements in a foul light and do not hold this faux pox as a strike against my name.

Could you please step above such petty behavior and enlighten me with your knowledge and wisdom?

Please explain to me what exactly you think would happen with 2x Merit reward weekend as it relates to the City of Heroes market and specifically market prices.

EDIT: Sorry, no I don't. Double XP Weekends screw up the market despite increased TF plays. Temporary, but the effect does exist.
How do you not comprehend "Supply goes up, price goes down"?

Please explain to me what exactly you think would happen with 2x Merit reward weekend. There would be an increase in supply and a decrease in price. At minimum, this event would cause temporary changes. Why would anything else happen. Currently, your last 3 statements in this thread have sounded like incompetence. Perhaps you misspoke or I misunderstood something.
  12. I've never cared enough to look into this... but is there some reason 64 man free for alls wouldn't make lots of people rich?

Ah, forgot about that. This isn't open to European servers.
  14. Feel free to contact Positron and apply for a bailout. I'm sure Niviene and Moderator 8 would love to be put to the task of organizing an Inf relief fund. I suspect they could watch what I try to flip, wait 'till I buy a lot, then change the drop rates and screw me over. Or maybe they'd remove Fallout and Vengeance from the game. That would be a terrible punishment. Maybe they'd just delete my toons or ban me. I'm not serious about any of these

There are plenty of people who can vouch for my services. Ask around.

I think the answer is in the question itself. He doesn't know me... therefore he asks. Perhaps you were making a joke? I was expecting the "How can I trust you" question to pop up sooner or later so I could respond with "I've got references!"
  15. Very well written I enjoyed it.

"Introduce an oversight committee on all Wenthworth transactions to approve all sales and business conducted. I will appoint an auctions "Czar" to head this committee."

I nominate Ragman as an, undoubtedly, impartial supervisor. I would like to stake my reputation on him being a fair and honest Czar who would do nothing but think of the super wealt--I mean the casual player.
  16. Is this satirical or did you try to actually make a serious proposal/opinion in a well written story with a few silly things throw in for fun?

EDIT: Nevermind that last question, I was skimming the OP while cooking and missed "/side" in the first note some how.
All the Inf from the 10,000 Inf (either side) tickets go into the pot. I'll probably take a 10% cut. The rest goes to the winners on whatever servers/sides I happen to have the money on.

    Quote:
Yes, minus whatever cut Smurphy takes and minus a potential 10% server transfer fee that may be incurred.
Yeppers. Key word is "potential". A winner likely will get money on tons of servers/sides. They don't have to move it around if they don't want to. I can move it around if they want to
  18. I'll be posting how much money is in the pot as I actually receive it.
  19. I'm stealing someone's idea and running a lottery. Here's my ideas so far. I'm still working out some kinks but I'll be selling tickets now.

    1,000,000,000++
The pot so far. CLICK for spreadsheet.
There's two version of the spreadsheet. The public one without names (where the link goes) and the private one with all the names and other information.

I'll sell tickets for 10,000 each. You can buy as many as you want. Any server or side works. Each ticket has a number and I will write the number(s) down in my little excel spreadsheet. I'll use Google Documents so everyone can see how much money is in the pot etc. Unless otherwise specified I'll keep names anonymous on the public version of the spreadsheet.

On the day of the event I'll bust out a video recorder program and hit a random # generator site like this one ( http://www.random.org/ ). I'll record myself online in CoH and on that website and generate one to three or maybe more random #s. It will be 1 to however many tickets I sold. I'm leaning towards 3 winners, 40%, 30%, 20% and I take a cut of 10% for doing the work. I might go to one big winner, might change my cut and might make more winners. I think three winners should get three people an outrageous amount of Inf.

The winner just gets the money. Whatever servers and sides it happens to be on. If people want the Inf moved across servers I can do them but 10% will be lost to the market (I take no cut on that). If there's multiple winners I'll work with them to try and minimize how much Inf moves cross servers and give them the Inf where they want it.

    Run-down:
    1. You give me Inf in amounts of 10,000x on any server/side for a ticket.
    2. I tell you your ticket #s. I start at one (so first person buys 5 and get's #s, 1-5, second buys 10 and gets 6-15 etc.).
    3. I write down your ticket #s and global name in my fancy spreadsheet. Spreadsheet Link
    4. I collect lots of money and wait 2-4 weeks.
    5. I run a recorder program and generator a random # or 3.
    6. Winners get lots of money.

Right now I'm leaning towards two weeks. Sunday the 27th (**EDIT** longer time, more money in the pot, hopefully more interest) as the first drawing. Date subject to change. Winning %s subject to change. But basic premise is the same.

I'm willing to help coordinate charities, funds, or pools of people who may want to work together or get the money to go somewhere or to someone else. (Like if your Super Group wants to work together etc.)

Contact me at @Smurphy or send me a PM here on the boards to coordinate a buying ticket time. I'll try to recruit a few helpers from /chanjoin "The Market" to assist in the money collect.

Because guess what? Then that doesn't solve the problem of me having the fortunes i need to craft what i want.

By contrast, look at the price of Kinetic weapons and Demonic Threat Reports. They're pathetic in comparison! And I dunno about anyone else, but i have a metric crap ton of those and not much to do with them.. i mean, i -could- craft damage IOs, which barely sell for what they cost to craft, but... why bother?
Or you can look at your full tray of salvage, dump it all for 1, and buy what you want.

Perhaps your argument that getting a full tray of common salvage is "too difficult" or "too rare" or "not common".
