Since reading this thread, I've tried to read up on Hami, but it's hard getting a timeline on him, let alone current strategy.
Anyone un-bitter and un-twisted enough to give a run down of the current Hami situation?
eg.. The spawns/blooms. Originally supposed to be 1 mito for each hero in zone, but then another website suggested it's always 15 or 16 or 18... 33?
Should hold hami, can't hold him he's immune, he's not immune but can't be 'fully' held etc.
Lots of conflicting stuff, mainly because it was all true at one issue or another.
So what is true as of ... now? -
Hey Shadower.
I have had a flick through the page you did.
My first thought was, why are you telling us ((OOC) at the beginning) exactly what your character is about to find out?
To me it's kinda defeating to lay it all out like that... "learning that there is more to life than money" etc.
These seem to be the sort of conclusions your readers should be realising themselves at the end of the piece of writing, based on the story, rather than you spelling it out for them at the start.
Atleast perhaps give it a spoiler warning? (You can use the {{spoiler}} and {{endspoiler}} tags to do this automatically)

I've gone through and editted the first part of the story, (Ghosts of a Past) as I'm afflicted with a condition that makes it near impossible for me to read through something with typos without either correcting them or just not bothering to read it.
It was my hope to have made improvements, but if you want to go back to the original text, I'm fairly certain that's easily done with wiki software.
I've not read further.
I have no idea if you are looking for feedback on the wiki presentation (which is good) or the actual writing (which needs work).
Cheers,
Smee. -
Hey,
Can't help you with the Earth or Ice / Storm debate, as I only have one toon, and that's a Grav/Kin.
You said at the beginning you have one of these and I would like to suggest not giving up on it. For my first toon in this game I have found it adequate for all I've needed of it.
Kinetics means you are always, always busy in a team. There is some lovely satisfaction when the group is hugged well, to see first of all, the green bars all flash to full with a transference; a second later all the blue bars flash to full with a transfusion. There's also Fulcrum to be doing near every pack, speedboosts, and density's. And this is to be fitted around your Gravity controlling, in my eyes, the neatest of holds (floating gently in the air without great obscuring graphics).
If there's no other healer/defender around, then you'll be very busy trying to keep folk alive with transfusion, but it is possible as it is such an awesome heal. Just make sure it's well slotted for accur, rech and heal.
If you want a bit more damage, propel is a nice power, although I've not bothered myself, as I've taken the blow to my soloing to make my team contribution a bit better. I don't pvp either.
Oh.. and Grav's pet (singularity) is awesome)

Awww, that sucks. Hope things get ...shiny'ier for you soon.
Incidently, I enjoyed your wiki page on Jean Luc. A very indepth and interesting read. -
Hmmmm... I think my one and only toon would be interested in this.
I recently joined a fairly large SG, mainly to use their base, but there's virtually no one online in the SG which kinda defeats the purpose, and it's a tech base (bleugh).
And I just know the RP side of CoH is going to suck me in eventually, so I might as well embrace it.
So who do I, poke/pester/annoy/irritate/stalk/prod.. I mean, ask for an invite? -
I'm just plain baffled... asked for SK, but don't get one because you're a leacher, yet allowed to stay in the group getting more XP than if you were SK'd.
Pure madness.
Reminds me of a saying that usually makes it in to my signiture on most forums...
"Never argue with an Idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience."
If someone's idiotic enough not to give you an SK, then just /shrug and enjoy the XP.

My Grav/Kin is 27, and in quite a few 3-6 people groups I've been the only toon with a healing spell, so that role has fallen to me.
Often it took the blasters a few deaths to realise (despite me saying in /t) that if you wanted a heal you had to be near a mob. But in all cases eventually they realised it, and I started seeing them edge close to a mob when they were on half health, only to leap for joy as they are ploughed back up to full straight away.
Regardless, with SB buffing, Siphon speed and power and trans spamming (and keeping an eye out for Voidy's to hold as I always play with a Kheld friend) I don't have much time for highly visible 'controlling' but so far I haven't had a stupid whine about leaching.
Fair to say, anyone who does whine, won't be seeing the fun end of a SB anytime soon (or a heal or SP if I could manage it)

Fun guide, with some truly rediculous abbrieviations, a few of which made me laugh. The 12 O'clock flasher being one of them.
Currently missing from the list is the multitude of ways people have demeaned the simple 'please'.
Inc..

But I guess we should pat the little cherubs on the head for at least remembering to say something approaching manners.
Oh, and one final one... threadomancy, one I learnt a couple of days ago, meaning to resurrect really old threads. Something my newbie behind is managing quite well as I troll through 2 years of old guides unable to pass many without giving my 0.02 worth

Well, at least I think I will... in 3 levels... on my Grav/Kin

Is that a good choice for a Grav/Kin? I'm a long way off yet, but I'm a compulsive planner. Looking at the Epic pools right now, I don't have a plan, which makes me twitch.
