/signed, i've often wished for something like this.
-
That would be cool as an option, without snakes...
-
Quote:Both of these, along with other options obviously.Well shoot...I agree...but I figured asking for something that was recently actually in the game might get some sort of results.
And to your list, I would add Octogonal-shaped and round rooms, along with the ability to click and drag the corners of an object for 360 degree angles. -
Vehicles would be awesome, but until they feel like doing a ton of work for 1 or 2 new travel powers, it won't happen.
-
I like this, i was trying to think of other things to use but i figured that the emote would work best but unrealistic, adding more things to use widens space that can have these costume changers. After all, you can only have so many phone booths in one city.
This reminds me of another thread i had where it was alternate SG entrances, not so much the idea but clicking on normal objects to do something secret. -
Quote:Maybe a "Through the Years" pack. 60's and 70's would be hippie stuff, 80's would be leather. Kind of going with the music scene because that usually has a big affect on the style.Like the 40's style, other decades as well? A 20s one could be fun; I'd love a flapper hero! Zelda Fitzgerald but less "would-get-me-genericed"y!
20's
40's
50's
60's
70's
80's
Those should be the ones to cover, maybe even take out 80's. -

The title pretty much says it all. Phone booths would be set up on every street(block?) in every zone. Design will change based on zone theme. Example, Boomtowns might destroyed. Clicking on the phone booth makes the door open and the character is inside. The costume change window pops up.
Yes, it's a little pointless and is probably more work than it's worth, but it's a nod to the real super hero world. Plus this game needs a little more humor.
Possibly later add in other changing areas, buildings, elevators, etc.
Another solution is making it an emote where a phone booth drops over you and you change. -
I like these, especially the 40's one. Very creative.

I'll explain exactly what happened.
Opened COH and entered log in info. Notice popped up so i kept restarting the game. Didn't work. Opened the internet and it worked perfectly. I looked around to see if anyone else had the problem. Exited internet and opened COH again. Nothing worked. Opened internet, internet wasn't working but COH still connected and certain websites worked.
Now, the desktop internet is broken. The other computers work fine. Did COH have anything to do with the internet problem?
(I'm getting a new modem to fix old internet problems and a computer guy should be coming in a few days, but i want to know more about this) -
Agreed the outdoors don't make sense (haha). Since there are no subways maybe the tram could take you to an underground lair or something, still doesn't make much sense since it's a public transportation but at least it has train connection.
-
Well i like everything except Throwing. It seemed lame and personally, i think Throwing Knives could be it's own thing. I guess Whips won't work out well. The rest look pretty cool.
-
/signed to any of those. Getting lost in a base is a big problem for me...

I really don't have anything to say no one else has already said. -
Well that was the point. Seeing as how they just discovered about 100,00 galaxies in a tiny spot they thought was empty.

Quote:I'm not really into MMO sequels. You know, you've got all this cool stuff and then you have to restart on the sequel. A huge expansion and massive engine update would be better in my opinion. And i don't think space should be that big, It's an alternate "world" sort of like Praetoria. Paragon/Isles should still be the main, space would just be a scenery change.interesting idea. You have actually described a space version of CoX.
It would be interesting if CoX2 was CoX in space...Galaxy of Heroes, Galaxy of Villains...Kinda has a nice ring to it.
Then to further awesome the idea. Combine the games so that either world (Space or Paragon) could be accessed with any toon if you have both CoX1 and CoX2.
Now that would be rather groovy indeed. -
There would only be zero gravity in places with no enemies. In the other zones there would just be low gravity, since slow motion would be annoying jump height and distance would be increased.
-
Quote:I guess all other travel powers would have to be unusable in a zero gravity part. Except hover and jet packs./Agreed. I highly doubt rikti would make a good canidate for space arcs. Get your Omega clearance and come back here.
Also, a thought occured to me--I like the idea of zero G environments, but what would you do for powers like, say, Hot Feet (where you need to be on the ground to activate the power)? -
Quote:Yeah, that is a lot more detailed. But i wasn't actually planning anything big, just putting out ideas i had. It would be nice to go to other planets but probably unrealistic.

I'm just throwing around some ideas here, i know a ton of people want outer space content (no idea how easy that is) and i have a few ideas for a possible expansion
- New villain groups. Aliens or like space explorers who experiment evil stuff.
- Trainers, Stores, etc. will be located in Space Stations. Normal movement
- When "Space Walking" automatic hover (to represent no gravity) but gravity packs can be bought that are used for more speed.
- Rockets take you from Space Station to Space Station.
- Planets are the Hazard Zone type things.
- Astronaut costume parts (includes flags as a detail)
- New origin- Alien. Origin Power- Something like a poison or toxin.
- Alien costume parts (antennas, bug eyes, etc.)
- To get from Paragon to Space, you take a Space Shuttle (probably in PI)
- New base items (space windows, Station looking items and such)
Those are just a few ideas i came up with, leave anything you would like to see and people who know the engine well, would space work or would it be really hard? -
I wouldn't mind this. It would help RP situations "Did you just explode light?"
