Imagine if the damage/mez/influence/etc Achievement badges worked like this. Oh, so you finally earned 1 billion influence? Congrats! Now try for 2 billion. Done with that one? Give 5 billion a shot. How about 10 billion after that? 20? 50?
I personally like the fact that I have been subbed since day 1 and want the badge to show it.

I also want the year 1 badge to be account wide so my villains can also enjoy them, so if the dev's could make that so I would appreciate it.

Actually, that's the primary reason I would *encourage* pieces to be put on the paragon market as it creates a benchmark or how much an item is going to cost, rather than just inflating forever into the stratosphere. I'm not going to pay 2 billion influence for Kinetic Combats when I know I can just buy them from the store for like, 2 dollars, or 200 merits, or 2 alignment merits (or whatever it actually is.) It sort of keeps things balanced.
I agree with what your saying, but my point is, if a certain playerbase wasn't so greedy, then you wouldn't need to purchase these enhancements with real money.
  3. The want it now aspect of the market has always allowed the potential for other players to reap rewards off of the less inclined to wait playerbase.

As an example 5 lotg's were selling for 100mil yesterday, one player brought all 5 and re-listed them for 200mil, impatient player turns up and wants it and ends up coughing up the 200mil, should he feel ripped off?.
Well now as the paragon store offers an alternative method to purchase the enhancement he wants, he has a choice, does he get ripped off by the player or NcSoft.

If your not getting any richer what's the point of acquiring low tier salvage and putting a 500k price tag on it?

Although in the grand scheme of getting influence, 500k ain't that much - just frustrating to pay that much for something that is common.
    This.......

It also drives the price of the already made enhancement up as well, why fork out the extra for the salvage when you can by-pass the recipe and crafting fee and get it already made.

Software glitches or typing errors aside it is literally impossible to be ripped off when using the consignment house. And even then a typing error is you ripping yourself off.
You believe that if you will, but I have seen 1st hand what people will do to make their billions.
  7. Maybe some people prefer to be ripped off by Ncsoft for enchancements, rather than ripped off by other players market prices?
  8. I've often thought it would be a nice idea to give players a slight percentage bonus across the board, if on the same team as other SG members, with a better percentage on a full team of 8.
It might give people more of an incentive to join and operate in groups.

When you say we do not listen to feedback, it is disingenuous. You can accuse us of many things, but accusing this team, the team now, the developers who have been working on this game for over a year, of not taking player concerns into account it is something that is, quite frankly, hurtful.

For example, let's look at the Super Packs. Based on feedback we have implemented the following:
    • ATO's available through in game means
    • Enhancement Catalysts in game drops
    • Price points for the packs set based on early feedback
    • Offering discounts when purchasing in bulk based on early feedback both on the forums and at the Player Summit.
    • Improvements made to the Inspirations found in the packs, over doubling their duration in some cases and making them persist through death (this change was done based on feedback that these items weren't originally very desirable, especially when found in Super Packs).
    • Increased the rate at which costume pieces are discovered in packs
    • Usability improvements based on feedback on the beta user start to finish experience.
    • We're not launching with an alternate option to acquiring the costume pieces, but it is still something we're open to later on down the road.
What you say is important to us. We listen to it, we consider it. Sometimes we don't always agree with it, and sometimes you're not going to agree with what we decide, and that's just how it works out sometimes. I can point at all sorts of examples where we have made adjustments or changed our initial design based on Community feedback (costumes, Incarnate Trials, Powers designs, etc, etc...) and I know you can point to all sorts of instances where we haven't heeded or listened to expressed feedback. It's a give and take and there will always be compromise.

I love you guys. I will walk through the fire for my Community and I will always, no matter what, represent your interests, regardless of my personal opinion. I have worked with developers who completely disregard player feedback, and I promise you, the Paragon Studios development team is not among them.

    -Z
Personally I like the Super Packs Z, I think the powers that be will make more money off of these than anything else in game, which hopefully will be pumped into CoH and make the game even better than it is.

Just a suggestion, really throw the wolves to the chicken and put a brand new power set into the super packs as well, sells will go through the roof .

  10. You not play the game right.

    I reverse your reversal.

This "gambling" argument is just sad.
Imagine how bad I feel, I just brought my 8 year old back from Gamblers Anonymous and all because I got her a blind pack of Moshi Monsters.

  13. I find that quite a few of these hate threads that start up are due to one thing and one thing only.

    The Big Green Eyed Monster
  14. As a VIP I don't really see super packs as gambling.

The only time I will get any, is when I get my free points off of NCsoft that I never used to get anyway so it's not like i'm losing anything, infact i'm still getting alot more for my sub even if I draw 100 inspiration's from my monthly point allowance.
  15. Could we possibly get this thread sticky, had to do this a number of times, and as the game grows the longer it takes to download.
  16. Really?, I must be lucky as I had 6 pvp enhancements on my toon in Beta, and I managed to convert them to 6 shield wall Procs and at most it cost me was 100 Astrals and 100mil.
  17. First thing that springs to mind on seeing the new DA, Starcraft and the Zerg.
  18. Am surprised these are still selling for this amount?

I've been purchasing 10-20million inf pvp recipes, and once i22 hits I will just convert them into the unique's.

Then whats the point of a Beta section of the forum?
  21. Damn knew I shouldn't have read this thread, now I know who it is.

BTW those that have huge screens, 3 big spoiler words in big font don't cover it. Even as fast as my mouse wheel can scroll, I still caught a glimpse.

Suppose I will just have to be satisfied that I don't know who kills Statesman yet.

Seriously though is leaking **** from beta not frowned upon anymore?, if not you might as well copy and paste beta and splash it all over All Access.

LOL November 28th 2007 and this is how I find out, you couldn't have written it better devs.

    Death Emotes

-Drowning, defeats on different type's of terrain could automatically change how you are defeated.
  23. I have still yet to see any opinion that changes my mind about a Bug Hunter.

My point was I never recognised the badge as it wasn't attainable equally and that it favoured players that were regularly invited to closed beta's.

I equate it to the same as being told that I am not allowed to do the brand new shiny I-Trial until 3 months after the trial goes live (you ever tried getting those MO's, when all the badgers have done them in the month after live, it's significantly harder).

So until someone can show me the way the dev's hand this badge out fairly, I'll stick with not recognising this badge.
