  1. Oh I missed off one thing I did as well.

With 5 extra alts I placed bids from 1k to 50k purchasing people dumping salvage.

Out of these 90 transaction slots each attempting 10 purchases, I only managed to purchase 234 pieces of salvage,
  2. Hi all, I've been on many threads concerning the expense of certain salvage and recipes.

Now I gave 3 days of my time seeing what effect I could have on certain piece of salvage (Temporal Tracers) and how much profit I could make out of it.

    This is how it went:-

Day 1 saw 1053 pieces for sale, 35 bidders and the current price for these was 1k. I then proceeded to buy up these with 10 alts and relist them for 250k.

Day 2 saw 675 pieces, 186 bidders with current selling price of 300k. I still had 4 alts worth left of salvage.

Day 3 saw 800 pieces for sale, 345 bidders with a current selling price 300k-500k 0 salvage left.

Final accumlation saw that I had pocketed over 2bn in 3 days, and that I had risen that salvage from a comfortable 1k to anywhere from 300k-500k.

Now I am heavily in pocket (yay me) but I failed to see how I benefited the market.

Is this the way to work the market or did I do a no-no?
  3. Did the Tanker Taunt to try and move her?

Wow to think I almost quit the boards due to certain people. This quote pulled me back (sorry for those that was glad to see the back of me), who are you to decide when someone can and cannot state there opinion. These boards are for all to state there opinion as and when they see fit. That is not for you to decide.

My opinion on this thread is:-

A: Harder content has increased chances of teams for me which is a positive.
B: TF's are at the moment starting up all over the place for me another positive.
C: People who generally solo all the time are leaning towards teaming abit more than they used to due to wanting to acquire new rewards in game. This has got me a whole load new list of friends that before I wouldn't have met, and return we have gained from a teaming experience.

    So sad...

Ahhhh think this another case of the oh no this hero respec is too hard, waves spawn too quickly they need to be slowed down.

Soon we will be at the stage when the only ambush we will get is a solo Rikti Monkey charging at us in a 8 man team.

If people cannot Learn to play do not punish the ones that do.

I've seen people mention raise the difficulty, but why has it got to be the ones that learn to play all the time that have to adjust things, hmm let the ones who can't play have a turn.

P.S. for all you that find the game hard, if you hit the Space-bar you jump.
  7. Am also experiencing the hang time before updater connects, although if I try the test server it works perfectly?

I did not forget that, like I said people will always supply more then they demand, due to recieving wanted drops without the use of the market, what they have left over they will either delete or throw on market to sell, the average player will spend alot more time at the market selling his drops than purchasing from it.

You will get some players that wait till 47 before IO'ing up but in the 47 lvls previous once they hit salvage/recipe caps it's instantly off to market to empty up without stopping to purchase items.

Thats a fair few items being placed causing supply rather than demand.

Demand will normally arise once the player has hit 47+, but still he will be creating supply in the meantime.

What is it 92 slots you can place slots in so in theory thats 92 recipes with if i round up 460 salvage needed, over the course of 50 that alt should create more salvage and recipes than that even if he was to delete half of his drops.
  9. Since the markets merged supply is at an all time high which should in theory plummit prices as supply will always outweigh demand (very minute cases aside), but this isn't the case as prices have mainly stabalised and in some cases certain salvage has risen in price and quite a few recipes.

In some cases certain recipes have dropped this is not due to high supply but due to other recipe's taking preference, take for example Scirocco's they used to be quite expensive then they introduced Oblit's this was the reason for lowering of the prices for scirocco's, the same can be said for Posi's when they introduced PvP recipe's.

High supply should be enough to bring the prices down but this isn't happening?

Who people blame is up to them, this isn't whinging in some cases, there alot of people with alot of common sense that can also see whats happening so marketeers can't blame them for that.

Blimey where was you playing because when the market first launched i can remember getting lotg 7.5's for 35mill.

As things progressed with the market, people had to either carry on the way they always played or enter into a market style game which for everyone it's not there cup of tea, unfortunately this has left some behind on the inf stakes, this isn't the players fault, some don't like the market, i know I am one that it grates me to enter the market as I do this for a living and the thought of working all day long on a market based occupation to come home on my free time to play a game that involves marketing or be left behind.
  11. Think the question here was why anyone needed to flip in the first place?

I can't remember ever having to struggle for Market slots, and I also never needed to crave more inf , also I never have had a problem with buying what I needed when the Auction House 1st took off till now.
  12. I most probably side with Quote No.2 seem the most logical.

    AE XP Suggestion

But then they could counter with Exploiter Drone, zap back to hosp. (oh and include some debt in that )
  14. Slazenger

    AE XP Suggestion

Just make a Giant padlock on the AE door, give everyone a key, those that are found to be constantly performing exploits take there key away from them permanantly.

Then I can laugh at them as i go in and out and much as I please , whilst they sit at the door begging to come in where it's safe, then I can Broadcast " I hear you knocking but you can't come in"
  15. Once all the incarnate slots are available, will we need to purchase expensive IO's anymore anyway?
  16. I think maybe they could have a better buy it now feature for IO recipes, with the invention table you can buy normal IO recipes, why can't they do it for all IO's recipes, i know you can get recipes using merits, but all some want to do is purchase them with inf and the invention table is a handy place to get em from.

I for one see the BM/WW as a stop gap between mishes and don't personally consider it part of my game anymore if anything sometimes it's a hindrance to go there and purchase salvage to make my recipes I'd much rather go to a vendor and click to buy which is much quicker and if it's more expensive so be it.

I think the marketeers take advantage of me paying over the odds for salvage but that isn't what bothers me, it's the endless typing in figures to get items that bothers me, I look up the last 5 items that sold and bid the highest out of the 5 values to get item but sometimes this isn't enough so back i go again to retype a different value (really annoying), I don't want to spend needless time in my game pratting about trying to buy things I actually want to play the game.

Please let me Buy It Now don't care how much as long as it's one click for Inf.
  17. Has dominators and controllers threat lvl risen without letting us know?

The amount of aggro mine are grabbing atm is unbelieveable,

As a test on a Lgtf last night i stood still not attacking and had no auras on whilst Tanker taunted the mobs they then made a b-line straight for me and this happened on a few occasions?

Just wondering if there was some sort of bug going on at the moment?

Did make me laugh that i was better at herding the mobs by standing still doing nothing, when the tanker was running about and taunting everything as quickly as he could.

P.s. this wasn't a pug team either the team i was on is a regular team so we all know whats what and how to do our jobs.
  18. The Ambushes are not infinite but they seem pretty much so, two ways to deal with this is if you have a very good buffage solid team get on top of the machine that gives the temp powers and fight Reichsman up there the ambushes have a harder time getting to you up there and you can concentrate on Reichs whilst using temps to deal with the odd ambushers that get up.

2nd way for team thats not to confident of being enclosed on top of machine is to hit Reichs until he starts the ambushes off then had back to tunnels and deal with ambushes before taking on Reichsman, Reichsman won't come as far as the tunnels so you know the ambushers are all you have to deal with.

(NOTE: I did have a 2 billion bid for the +3%def PvP IO for 3-4 months. It was never going to fill.)

What you're advocating for sounds like a Communist system: everybody get in line, hope you get lucky. What the players have opted for is a Capitalist system: if you can offer me more than I can get on the market, then we have a deal.

But if you happen across one of these PvP IOs yourself and want to sell it, I suppose you'd sell it through the market on principal?
I thought one of the marketeers codes was patience?

Yes i would put it on market for 2bil if that was the going price but i'm not about to sell it for more than that anywhere else.

Also I already have, i waited and brought it for 2bill, slotted it in my char and it didn't really make much difference so for 2bill I thought no way was i wasting that amount so respecced it out and sold it for 2bil.

Since they clearly do buy (I just sold one last week), the amounts must be acceptable.

In other words, a person can only sell if another person is willing to buy.

Try selling a piece of pocket lint...
Try selling a L1 training enhancement to another player...

The reason people will pay those "silly amounts" is because they feel the
value of that item justifies its price. At that point, the amount is clearly
    no longer silly.

    Regards,

I regard anything as "silly" when it breaks the game code, 2bil is highest amount you can bid in game, 2bil is as much as a char can hold in game anything more than that is just "silly" (or greedy as the more unfriendlier term).

    .
Where that is correct in some sense, when people post these recipes for silly amounts the Market and Invention forum is not the only place they appear, a quick click on New Posts or Todays post's can also reveal these people selling these recipe's clearly in the title and also it dosen't help that sellers are bumping there thread to keep it at the top of those lists.

I can define one, thats a certain PvP recipe that has skyrocketed so high people are resorting to selling it on the forums, soon I foresee real money being involved again like the inf sellers of past unless the devs and mods crack down on this sort of behaviour.

2bill is as high as the game allows any more than that is just plain greedy.
  23. My only day off this week, but still not to fussed as suppose to be an improvement but if someone wants to cry DXP as a way of compensation i'm not gonna argue with em
  24. Oh really lol, well i enjoyed the trip to the light-side anyways , but thanks for letting me know, now things won't be such a rush before the 16th.
  25. I have a brute to which when GR hit I made the journey Hero-side to pick up Physical Perfection from the hero epic power pools.

Now he has returned to his roots as a villian but with the upcoming issue and the free respecs if I were to make a respec would I have to become a hero again in order to pick up PP again? or can I just make the respec Villian-side and still get the option pick PP?
