Although the Fitness power pool has become inherent you still need to slot the powers in it. So all you gain is an extra 3 powers but you still need to work out the slots for those 3 powers

Quote:These policies get applied to too many contracts as an *** saver all the time, even my town's local public toilets have the same wording. Still, doesn't stop me being p'd off when i'm dieing for a No.2. and the toilets are down.I am not a lawyer, don't play one on TV or any other medium, and my statements here do not constitute any kind of legal advice.
But, looking over the EULA:
"MEMBERSHIP FEES AND FEES FOR ADDITIONAL FEATURES ARE PAYABLE IN ADVANCE AND ARE NOT REFUNDABLE IN WHOLE OR IN PART (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, PAYMENT USING NCCOIN) FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, INTERRUPTION OR UNAVAILABILITY OF SERVICE (SEE ALSO SECTION 10 BELOW)."

(d) NC Interactive shall not be obligated to refund all or any portion of any Account fee or Additional Feature fee by reason of any interruption of the Service by reason of any of the circumstances described in paragraph (a) or (b). -
Well that sucks, just about to hit our Primetime MOkeyes event for server to be given 5 minutes warning.
It is getting a bit to frequent that bang on primetime the servers get taken down. -
Quote:To my knowledge nobody has MOkeyes badge on defiant, it is only being run twice a week Monday and Thursday and have only missed 1 attempt since i20.5 and it wasn't done then.I did some (fun?) browsing through the leaderboards on CIT to see what I could find about these badges. As of today, 80 people have Loves A Challenge and 73 have Avoids the Green Stuff. I'm sure that total is actually higher, but those are only the ones verified on CIT.
Here are the rankings by server for those two badges with everyone who has has at least 1,000 badges overall:
Code:Challenge Green Virtue 15 15 Union 13 10 Freedom 5 6 Liberty 4 7 Champion 4 2 Infinity 4 2 Victory 3 3 Guardian 3 2 Protector 2 3 Defiant 1 1 Justice -- -- Pinnacle -- -- Triumph -- -- Vigilance -- -- Zukunft -- --
I suppose the one person you have on defiant could have done it on another server, but it has yet to be done on Defiant.
On a side note, it does suck for those badgehunters out there that have to rely on others to get these badges, maybe they should introduce a way of getting these badges via the Paragon store using Reward points or something?
Old MO's used to get alot of attention from the playerbase but as some have mentioned MOKeyes are few and far between on some servers, to be constantly let down by 1 or 2 players on these few and far runs gets boring really quickly. -
The same thing happened to me on the Live server, a day after the merge my global changed after using it the previous day straight after the merge.
You may guess at how peeved I was, but still the devs are doing their best to appease me atm, so if they carry on appeasing me for the next 6 years I'll call it even. -
If I were to go to the VIP server, I think it would be social suicide.
EU servers the only place really that has an active server base in my time-frame, i've noticed even Freedom is lower population at my time.
For me to go to the VIP server it would require the entire EU player-base to go, which isn't likely to happen.
Besides I am content with my home server (Defiant), and in the past we have united in getting rid of bad eggs before and I have no doubt that should the need rise again that we will deal with them also.
I suppose that's an advantage of a smaller population server, if someone upsets alot of people word gets around. -
Quote:Unfortunately I think this also.i would think that poeple would want to stay on non VIP servers for pvp so they can take advantage of the huge noob pvp populace that will show up
What with F2P not being able to achieve as much as VIP can with a toon, this will put them at a disadvantage.
EU zone PvP was dieing due to the same half-wits ganking everyone as they entered the zone, so a lot of people had nothing to do with PvP and eventually PvP was killed off upon i13 as the gankers left because of the nerfs.
If the same thing happens again on the EU servers, I would give it a month before the F2P players get bored with getting ganked and go elsewhere, leaving the PvP population again in limbo. -
Are they not going to sell off chunks of Galaxy girl?
People have made quite a profit off of pieces of the moon. -
Quote:That wasn't what they said on UStream, it was said you wouldn't beable to use the 4 AT's in question even as a premium player, Posi has since stated that depending how long you have been subscribing for, may make a difference to whether you can or can't use them.Incorrect. If you switch from paying now (soon to be called VIP) to a F2P status, your only restriction is in # of slots. You start with 2, plus add any you've gotten up till now as Vet rewards plus add any you've purchased. All your toons will be there, just locked behind slots.
Actually you automatically become the mid-range tier of player, what they call "Premium". A previous paying customer who switched to Free. All your accumulated 'loot' and toons are there, but you may need to 'purchase' a couple slots to unlock all your slots. -
I think a big point for me was that If I go F2P I wouldn't be able to use my Veats,Eats,MM's or Trollers unless I purchase them again, sucks a bit as MM's was the reason I brought CoV.
-
We maybe able to cause lag to Mobs, heck that powers been about for ages.
-
Not sure what F2P will bring, but with issue 20.5 and the emp and astral merit option to buy purple or pvp recipes it maybe alot cheaper to get hold of these Very Rare in the future.

Would have posted sooner but it took me 2 weeks to get out of the shackles. -
For ages I thought the only way to get to The Hollows was through skyway.
Imagine my surprise when I found an Atlas entrance and all those deaths could have been avoided. -

Just logged on to NClauncher and is updating EU test with a whopping 1190mb patch?
Is this to transfer us to the NA test server? -
-
Quote:You change their @Global and hope they go away quietly?
The problem with converting an existing subscription-based game into a F2P game is what do you do with all your long-time subscribers? Paragon has said many times that they have excellent retension of players, which means a lot of City of Heroes players have been here for a very long time supporting the game. What do you do with all those long time veteran players that form the backbone of your customer base? The challenge is making free to play something that offers a compelling value proposition to your existing subscriber base, and that's not a trivial problem to solve. -
Quote:Please tell me your not surprised.Ok.... I'm waiting for an explanation right here why the EU test can't get access to any of this!
We were told that we'd have the same test server! But all I get is 'Test Server (EU)' and, in the list, TestServer01 and EUWorldsomething and a whole greyed out list.
I'd like a damn answer befoer I have to kick someones face in over this -
Quote:Likewise Dante, I hit 75months on the 12th, and for the first time Iv'e not even logged on to check.Me.
Just set my account to not renew and I've never done that in nigh on six years. In all that time, EU players have had to put up with losing our support, our community co-ordinators, EU specific events, any form of publicity or marketing, our test server and finally a piece of our online identity. This isn't a ragequit, it's just the straw that broke the camel's back.
I was overjoyed at the news of GSA, but it's been so badly handled and communicated, favouring ease of application over customer satisfaction that what should have been a joyous occasion has instead become another opportunity to remind EU players of how little their loyalty is worth. Maybe I'm an idealist and business is business but I would have thought that in a game this old, rewarding and retaining loyal customers was more important than hoping that some old, inactive players might just possibly come back some day. It seems I was mistaken.
(Oh and just to note, cancelling an NA account brings up a questionairre asking for feedback and reasons for leaving. Cancelling an EU one does not. I think that speaks volumes.)
My enthusiasm for the game has definitely took a nosedive and for the first time I am actively seeking a new game to at the least half the time I would normally spend playing CoX.
There are badges in game for showing loyalty, vet rewards for showing loyalty but I'm beginning to wonder if the Devs know exactly what loyalty means and how much it is valued in game that's 7 years old.
New shiny games are starting to look a hell of a lot more appealing than they did before GSA.
I think the not knowing whether or not a trial account has replaced your global name hurts the most, I may have missed the point somewhere but I still fail to see how loosing 3,4,5,6 + year vets benefits the game rather than deleting trial accounts, and until I get an explanation to why then I'm afraid I am going to treat the the game and the devs (and that includes the community mods) with the same respect that has been showed to me. -
I did look into all the factors when they announced GSA, my views arn't blinded by the fact I lost my global, but this was what I came up with for my personal gameplay:-
Pro's
1) Extra Character slots with new servers.
2) Chance of more players on Defiant.
3) Only 1 more thing now that the Dev's could shaft the EU with.
4) More servers for me to play on.
Con's
1) Loosing my Global
2) Chance of extra players being minimal for someone like me who plays EU primetime, which is almost opposite to NA time.
3) Extra character slots on other servers don't benefit me as I still haven't filled my home server and hadn't even dreamt of hitting the other EU english speaking server.
4) Extra servers to play on, again my timezone would mean the other servers would pretty much have the same population as my home server at the times I play.
as you can see all of the pro's went out of the window apart from the shafting. -
