Why the fudge 30 days? Given that an in game day is 30 minutes, that means if you have to spend 720 hours off-line your character has "worked" 1,440 days to get a single badge.
[/ QUOTE ]
1440 days is 4 years, like a college diploma. And the badge I consider to be my career certification credentials.
[/ QUOTE ]
College degrees are only career certification credentials for your first few jobs. -
I've run this TF well over 100 times. I've tanked on my Inv/SM a bunch, once or twice on my stoner, a few runs on my WP/EM and once with my ice tank who survived th whole thing on a run that was almost exactly an hour. I've done runs with others tanking, we've done runs with no tank.
I used to advocate this lineup:
tank
emp
kin
blaster (highdamage like a fire/em preferred)
4 rads
This still works really well. I've seen folks run 8 ill/rads to great effect. 8 fire/rads do rediculously well too.
Nowadays we have a weapon that we didn't have before cold/ defenders, they are sick n this TF, put 2-3 benumbs on GW and laugh at her heal (works great on Romulus too),
Basically any team with balanced damage and debuffs can run this. Buffs and a good tank can make a world of difference too.
you could do:
tank
scrapper (you)
blaster
2-3 debuffers (rad/dark/cold) etc.
2-3 wildcards
and do fine.
Best of luck to you on your run. -

You basically have said to badge collectors exactly that: "Continue to collect badges, but only collect some of them."
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, there's already a history of that. That's what those of us who can't do the ski slopes were told. "Physical or other problems that prevent you from twitch gaming? Tough noogies."
[/ QUOTE ]
By players, not explicitly by the developers.
[/ QUOTE ]
Explicitly? No. But they did implicitly when they created a second, new set of badges based on the exact same twitch gaming for the upcoming winter event. There is no other message that can be drawn from that than, "We listened to your concerns about not being able to get those badges, and ignored them." So the devs don't really care if we can get all the badges or not.
Actually, I don't mind the thirty day earning time, and making those badges a long term goal. But I know that arguing that it isn't fair for the devs to create badges you feel you can't get has already failed to sway them, so you need to find another angle to convince them.

I believe there should be spots in each zone where one can log to not earn the patrol xp. I like the option of putting it in the options menu to click on to start or stop. I think this would make those who want it happy and those who don't want the double xp happy as well.
[/ QUOTE ]
There is a suggestion for putting in an XP slider. I think that would solve any issues about getting too much XP from Day Jobs or any other kind of reward. With the XP slider, people would never have to worry about outleveling content ever.

This game has content?

How does the counter work? If I am logged out for 8 hours do I get a 1/3 of a day credit, or do I need to be logged out the full day. I assume it's the first
[/ QUOTE ]
The counter is based on seconds, so every second you are logged out you are getting credit.

I for one welcome our power pool fixing overlords.
Seriously it's a good thing to not have Body pool on EVERY one of my scrappers. I can get away with another pool on my super strength tank (rage) but FA is too good not to be widely available on all melee toons. Give it to stalkers and brutes for parity. Do similar work with power boost/power build up. This is an across the board anti-nerf and I'm glad to see a major restructuring in the right direction. -
Someone post the details please.

All joking aside - it was said elsewhere that Power Balancing changes wouldn't affect PvE at all.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think either what you read was incorrect or you misunderstood. I'm quite certain the PVE specific changes that were made for I13 will affect PVE, while 95% of the PVP changes have no effect on PVE (I say 95% to hedge my bets, actually.)
[/ QUOTE ]
95% hedges on your bets?!? Next thing you know Castle will be illiquid and sold by the Fed to Bank of America, Oh Noes!
Seriously though, FA and PB on villains only balances things out. PPPs have nothing close in utility currently. I'm not pro-villians either my hero:villians 50s ratio is 23:1. -
wake me when the game gets remotely interesting again.

Ok, we know.
We should have had said something more by now, about Issue 13. But like all great architectural endeavors, Issue 13 is taking on a life of its own and were not quite ready to spill forth all the information.
So, just a quick note to say thanks for your patience, even though we know you may not really be patient. Trust us, its coming; were working on it and theres more great stuff coming (like you havent heard that before, but really, we mean it!)
Thanks!

10 second count-down, and you die every time you use it...
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, gameplay advantage. If you play a tank, it's trivially easy to go into a large group, pop a red or two and maybe a yellow, and dole out a sweet purchased Nova to your enemies, probably defeating most of them, and making it really easy for the rest of the team to mop up. Pop a wakie, or even better, have someone with Resuscitate or Resurrect on hand, and you're good to go.
[/ QUOTE ]
Except you have no body to rez, you can't use a wakie (at present, you can, but you remain without a body and unable to interact with anything). Your only choice is "go to hospital"
[/ QUOTE ]
The ability to self-rez or use wakies is definitely intended and works most of the time. There are some cases where you're left without a body (including one which Castle says they're trying to fix here), but for the most part self-rezzing works just fine. Rise of the Phoenix, in particular, looks really awesome after a Self Destruct.
[/ QUOTE ]
Dull Pain+ Instant Healing + MoG (so no one hit me during countdown+ self destruct= My regen lives , regens to full health but only as a green cloud that cant move. Zoning (mish ending, tp to mish exit) or logout/login and good as new. -

[ QUOTE ]
does the self destruct option get interupted if hit like the pocket D TP?
[/ QUOTE ]
I would highly, HIGHLY reccomend you do NOT zone while the self-destruct power is counting down. There is currently a bit of an issue with the FX script that can cause the camera shake to not stop and increase over time...indefinitely. If this happens, the only fix is to completely shut down the game and restart it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Of course now I have to try this.
