I had the same problem, also on a 5870. Rolling back to 11.4 did the trick for me as well. Very glad I can actually play again now that the steampunk pack is out!

I'm experiencing the exact same thing, and the only thing I can think that changed was I updated to the newest driver for my radeon 5800 series (I think 5850, but might be 5870). My problem isn't just going away though, and it's making it very hard to want to play. Obviously I want to rollback the driver and see if that fixes it, but I haven't been able to figure out how to do that on Windows 7.
EDIT: Just uninstalled the 11.5 drivers after finding a direct download of 11.4. Now after going back to 11.4, everything works fine. -
ROFL Wow...
Thank you SO much for that. I REALLY needed that laugh.
I am rather upset about this, mostly for fluff reasons. I have a toon based on clockwork who now won't be able to have a nifty clockwork enhancement. Also because the "reasons" given aren't really reasons. Helping new players is awesome, but why couldn't it *also* help vets? I've played the current starting areas many times over, and would love to get through them faster with my new characters. Oh well, if the code for it is separate as Gamestop's site suggests, then maybe I'll buy this for my gf and take the code for myself.
EDIT: Side note, some people might remember that even the original main game had store specific pre-order bonuses. I had the "Rush" sprint power before it became a vet reward. -
Quote:Well as you know Cobes, I'm one of the people living in your area(ish) and all the people I know, myself included, just don't think Origins is worth going to anymore. We all, however, go to GenCon every year, and every year I've been looking for the CoH booth to no avail.True story. On my server alone, there's four or five people that I know of that live in my area, and they'd love to attend a Meet and Greet.
My vote is for GenCon Indy! -
I sure hope the item pack doesn't cost $10 since that's the difference in price between the two and the box version has game time included, which is normally about $15 alone. If that's the case then the pre-purchase basically gives up a month of free play to be able to have the two power sets early. I guess that's good enough for people excited about them but unfortunately I'm not. I loved the idea of dual pistols but I really don't like the animations. I really hope demon summoning is worth it.

As of last week, my villain Supa Ogre is now among the level 50 crowd.

Oops, I seem to have posted my red side group on the hero thread. Its over there!

I lead Flesh and Stone blue side, and Glass and Steel red side.
Colors on Flesh and Stone are tan and grey, with the diVinci icon. Glass and Steel colors are grey and white, and the symbol looks like a tower or skyscraper
