Most fun I had with confusion:
I was in the Tarikoss SF (as mind/psi dominator) with a couple of friends and me and a friend were jokingly bragging about our superiour skills via TS when the rest of the team decided that we should demonstrate our "pro gamer skills" by duoing Infernal in the last mission.
We agreed because we thought this could be hilarious. So, this is what happened: Two toons, one mind/psi dominator and one dark/dark corruptor faced off against the mighty Infernal while the rest of the team stood back to watch our certain defeat. Little did they (and we for that matter) know that Infernal would not have purple triangles on that level. This resulted in an extraordinary show of cruelty when we slowly (and I mean slowly) whittled away Infernal´s health while he was just standing there wondering why his "friends" wanted to hurt him.
He fell just as we managed to stop laughing for a moment. -
Well, I can´t comment on Power Boost as my lvl 50 dominator is mind/psi, but Mass Confusion is a great skill that can turn a desperate situation into a winning battle by confusing anything but bosses without Domination or anything including bosses with Domination running.
Against EBs and AVs Power Boost will hardly make a big difference due to it´s short duration. Anyway, with stacked single-target Confuse as non-aggro fight-opener you will be able to keep most EBs confused until they are dead (and thus be able to kill them without losing a single hp) and even confuse AVs when the purple triangles are down (so they will clear the surrounding spawn for you). For anything bigger than that you would need at least one additional dominator anyway. -
Looks like a nice build although I would slot differently. Your approach looks a little bit "average", so everything is "okayish" but hardly anything really shines.
With my WS I didn´t slot many human form powers at all (especially shields and stuff like that) as I knew I would hardly ever be in human form. So I slotted human form mainly as "buff form" and Dwarf form as combined "buff form/meat shield" in order to make the Nova the meanest thing floating around. The Nova´s cone and the AoE just want to be six-slotted with damage and recharge.
I guess in time you will see which build suits your playstyle best. Have fun! -
If I recall correctly it´s something like 100% regeneration and recovery per mob hit (up to 10 mobs) and the effect lasts for 30 seconds.
Basically, if you hit enough mobs you will see your endurance snap back to 100% in a blink regardless which powers you spam (and health will regenerate fast, especially if you slot two heal SOs like me). -
Well, let´s say it works, but I find it more efficient to arrange the enemies with holds, confusion and fear in nice clusters for Drain Psyche.
Mass Hypnosis is just to situational to have any room in my build and is next to useless in teams as most team members are not too happy when you interrupt their killing spree by telling them to stand back until you had your little pit-stop. (Most of the time you will want to use Drain Psyche in the middle of a battle anyway in which case sleep will do no good either.) -
"Do you need a Rad?"
Hell, I don´t even have to use that. I always have my search comment state the toon´s powersets and with my fire/rad controller I have to /hide if I don´t want to team for a while (when I am badge-hunting or something like that), because otherwise I can hardly play for all the /tells I have to answer. (Yes, I know I could just ignore the /tells, but I try to be polite.)
Well, in this special case even removing the search comment would hardly work since the name "Adam Bomb" is quite a giveaway. -
... you imagine sounds like *squish* or *plitch* each time you hit a cave wall in Nova form.

This is very dirty. I have to compliment you. -
In my opinion energy management is very important, so that you can keep up fury as long as possible which makes for some impressive levelling speed. I found out my elec/elec and my dark/dark both fit the bill and they are not sucky in PvP either although they are both more geared towards PvE.
If you insist on SS primary you should really pick a secondary with an end drain (EA or ELA) or you might be in need of blue candy a lot (although this is somewhat less of an issue if you have /invuln post lvl38 due to Unstoppable´s +recovery). -
Most of the time I end up PvPing with my sonic/kin corruptor. With this toon I eat tanks and scrappers for breakfast, but controllers can be quite bothersome.
So, when I see that the opposition features too many controllers I tend to log to one of my other alts... Well, I guess that´s an advantage of extreme altitis. -
Also, please note that there is more than def/res in the secondary sets to increase your survivability.
Just look at /elec. Lightning Field makes enemies drop faster and Power Sink drains their endurance (although this is only really good when paired with elec/ primary due to it´s -recovery), both increasing your survivability by a nice degree.
That said I really like /elec and would prefer it over /ea. -
I also doubt that there is time (or enough space in a robo/dark build) for the blasts. The later the game the less effect they will have on your survivability. If you absolutely have to be able to attack I can recommend taking Air Sup as prerequisite for Fly and beating enemies around with that and Sands of Mu in bodyguard mode. (Be careful though. Your pets might think their help is not needed if you juggle an Elite-Boss for a while.

Oh, hmmm, I would say that kinetics is not that good for a new player as it is one of the more advanced sets that can be quite taxing on the player´s endurance if played well.
However, /kinetics is a tremendously powerful set, so I guess it is still worth a try, especially when paired with ice/, fire/ or sonic/, depending on if you want to be single target killer and slowmaster, AoE nightmare from hell or howling mad shield eater and AV killer.
I can also recommend /radiation as secondary set for the great debuffs and other useful stuff. Ice/ goes really good with this one. Fire/ should also work, but depending on your power choices your attack chain might feel a little bit slow. -
Exactly. Don´t know where this massive end boost comes from as the end drain is really not that much.
And concerning the end red slotting of electric melee: I have both of the small attacks and only the first one slotted for end red (just one slot). I have Stamina and well-slotted Power Sink and this allows me to attack forever with fury galore and without having to stop for endurance. So, without Power Sink you will probably have to slot a little bit more for end red, but don´t sacrifice too many damage SOs for it. -
Unfortunately there is no real guide for sonic/sonic out there and the one guide on the US forums dealing with corruptors´ sonic secondary sucks parts of anatomy rather left unmentioned.
So, I guess your best bet would be to whip out your Hero Builder and post your build here for some advice. -
Sheep, either you don´t understand the maths behind this or you take far too much time to get from one enemy to the next... or both.

Uhm, yes. I have to agree that Pulsar adds a great deal of survivability when you actually fight while Quantum Flight is more or less just a getaway power. So, I would swap their positions around.
Concerning Light Form I think slotting for recharge is not that important with Dwarf form slotted for resistance as in most cases this should be enough to let you survive if things go bad. (However, if you think you have the slots, go to town.) But I would definitely slot up on resistance and get Light Form earlier. It´s far more useful than those stupid, stupid, stuuuuuuuupid Photon Seekers. -
My greatest brute moment... Entering the Peregrine Island mayhem mission and realising that the police force consisted almost exclusively of peacebringers. Oh, elec/elec joy! I couldn´t stop grinning until everything and everyone on the map was utterly destroyed. I didn´t even spare the parking meters.

My MMs both have Fly as travelpower with Air Superiority as prerequisite. On top of that they have Sands of Mu or the Ghost Slaying Axe respectively. Together with my secondaries (/Dark and /Poison) this is more than enough to keep me busy during fights.
The blasts from the primary sets offer negligible damage when compared to your henchmen. So, they are hardly worth the power and ehancement slots.
