1. More good stuff to play with is always fun.

I know that it is possible to get AM and Hasten down to roundabout 10 seconds downtime with a somewhat reasonable IO spec. Depending on your secondary set and on the sacrifices you are willing to make I guess it would be possible to get it perma, but I don't know if it's worth the hassle for those few seconds of downtime.
Basically you want to have Hasten, some powers that can slot defense enhancements for Luck of the Gambler's recharge IO and some powers to slot sets with global recharge bonuses, like AoE blasts with Positron's Blast.
5. Oh, I missed that, indeed. Looks nice, although a Bright Creeper form would probably disturb me just as much as the WS Creeper. But the buff-heavy set is a good idea.
The longer I look at these sets the less they feel like 'real' Peacebringers or Warshades, perhaps not even Kheldian, but more like a totally new class of epic shapeshifter.
6. Hmmmm, I don't know... Somehow this doesn't look right. Your suggestions from that thread seem to be nice... Actually I would like to see a new epic AT with that powerset, perhaps an evil one that could also use that MM set with the stalker form.
See, a WS with a stalker form and most of all Nictus fragments is using methods... yuck... It's like an alien zombie MM with AS. The normal WS powers are morally questionable enough, but what you suggest is a few steps further down the road. Even if it could be balanced power-wise I doubt that there is any chance to make it justifiable by even marginally heroic moral standards.

sonic....

Nice summary and I have to say that I agree with most of it... and the one thing I kind of disagree with probably comes from having a different complementary powerset:
With my sonic/kin corruptor Shout's endurance consumption is easily managable and I guess with AM endurance problems shouldn't be too much of an issue either.
I use Amplify and Howl, too, but with just Scream, Screech, Shout and Shriek my attack chain would first cascade so that the biggest hitting attack has the largest -res debuff to work with, so the battle opener is:
Screech -> Shriek -> Scream -> Shout
After that I just spam Shriek and use the other attacks as soon as they are up to get maximum dps and keep up the biggest possible debuff.
Well, as sonic/kin corruptor it's a little bit different since you basically spam Shout and throw in other attacks only to reapply their -res debuff, but the battle opening chain is still the same (although there usually is not much left to do after the opener ).
8. Jounins will always use just one blade. The other one is actually no sword but curlings tongs.

Uuuhm, yes, of course. Playing a tanky tanker doesn't mean you have to be stupid about it.

Personally, I don't see a need to differentiate between different sorts of tank. If someone has the primary intention to keep aggro away from his team and centered on himself he is a tank. If he is doing nice damage on top of that it might put a content smile on his face, but damage alone won't make him a happy tanker.
On the other hand if a tanker wouldn't go out of his way to collect aggro or save a squishy but rather inflicts damage instead he is a scranker in my book.
Really, there is not much room for any tankers in between, unless you want to find different names for control-tanks, taunt-tanks, damage-tanks, aggro-accepting scrankers, aggro-avoiding scrankers etc. Well, actually I have a name for that last group: It's "cowards", but I doubt this could become an official term.
11. Well, Kheldians are jacks-of-all-trades per definition, at least that's how I see them. Just call it a 'racial trait' or something like that. So, I probably wouldn't quite understand why Peacebringer A with powerset 1 can't have a certain power, but his pal Peacebringer B with pwoerset 2 can.
In the case of humans (or other races represented by the standard ATs) it's not that hard to see why the natural MA scrapper can't choose powers of the likewise natural Katana scrapper and vice versa. They both specialise in their respective powers in order to be super.
But Kheldians are different. Their whole concept says that they don't need specialisation to be super. To the contrary: They are so special, because they are all the more powerful when they don't specialise.
So, I would support a suggestion to add more powers to Kheldian powersets for more variety, but separate powersets would leave a somewhat foul taste.

What should be in between? Someone who can't hold aggro but still cares about team survivability? Well, I would call that a bad tank.

But seriously, there are certainly several shades of grey. Names don't matter to me much, but if I absolutely had to decide I would judge by the order of his priorities. Yes, this means that with many builds (e.g. a well-rounded fire tanker) last missions scranker could be next missions tank.

I was wondering, how badly does a Corruptor feel the lack of Stamina? I know Kin Defenders can cope without it but that some Kin Trollers can struggle without it. Since Corrs have the same buff % as Trollers, is it the same for them?

[/ QUOTE ]
This has less to do with the buff % but more with how aggressively you play your toon (with bonus points for an endurance hungry attack set ).
I know that I would be absolutely screwed without Stamina as I would have to hit with every single Transference if I want to keep up my 'normal' speed (and you can bet that I want that).
I don't know about rad/, but with sonic/, ice/ and fire/ there is no chance for a staminaless build unless you seriously slot for endurance at the cost of other things or slow down by a good margin (or grab every +rec set bonus you can lay your hands on).
14. Granted, your argument has it's origin in this thread. Your tone, however, has not. I can't judge your experience at playing stalkers and the same is true vice versa.
So, if you want to accuse me of lying when I say that sometimes an AS is interrupted by only a miniscule movement of the target while it normally should (and does) not, then we are done here. You are getting far too personal for my liking and I can't find that too amusing.

Unfortunately this is not always a viable option. Firstly, the opponent has plenty of time to go for your duo partner (and may cancel your AS attempt by running away from you at the same time).

[/ QUOTE ]
Do you actually play stalkers?
a.) AS is not interrupted by distance, only if they break line of sight.

[/ QUOTE ]
Do you actually play stalkers? All in all I have around 100 levels of stalker experience with half of that coming from my lvl 50 stalker.
I can't be bothered to even try and count the times my AS has been interrupted by so much as a twitch on the side of my target. True, AS should only be interrupted by breaking line of sight and I have had some funny 100 yard assassinations, but unless you have never attacked a moving target you must have noticed that this is not always how it works.

Secondly, you might get hit by your opponent's friends during the long animation of AS, thus wasting your Placate.

[/ QUOTE ]
b.) placate also has stealth element, which will hide you from the enemys friends, provided they didnt already have aggro on you (placate only removes aggro from a single target). If there was some AOE going on etc then the others will leave stalker alone most propably, and I play a defense based ninjitsu stalker anyway, so its a fair bet they wouldnt interrupt me anyway.

[/ QUOTE ]
I don't know how you play, but I tend to get some aggro during a fight. If you actually play stalkers you should know that AS draws aggro from mobs surrounding your target, so, if that aggro has not been taken care of and you try the Placate+AS stunt mid-fight these mobs will use single target attacks against you and even if you have Ninjutsu or SR (not all stalkers do, imagine that) there is a chance that you will be hit and interrupted. (Mind that we are talking about stalker/dominator duos here, so everything that's not under control will go after you or your squishy friend.) In my experience you often achieve a similar effect but with much less risk (and often a little bit faster) by using a big-hitting crit and a quick follow-up attack.
So, are you done now with your thread-jumping crusade or shall we go on?

You can't slip on a mezzed fish!
17. Eeerm, actually it doesn't. I guess I jumbled my own sentences a little bit too much with less than satisfying result.
I think at first I wanted to write something about Placate recharging quite fast and that you could use it a lot more often than AS, then tried to find a clearer wording, tricked myself and got it all wrong. Silly me!
However, it's still so that saving Placate for AS is in many cases not worth the wait (as long as you have any normal attack with impressive crit damage).
18. And that's the main problem. Most people who play corruptors prefer teaming (as there are villain ATs who are more cut out for soloing) and unless a team is in real trouble or facing AVs it is moving too fast for traps to have a major impact, especially when you compare it to other secondary powersets.
19. Sitriel

whirling hands

Exactly. I have to agree that the occasional mob staggering away is basically a non-issue. What good is a team that can't even handle mezzed mobs? Are some people really that dependent on shooting fish in a barrel that one fish jumping out of the barrel onto the floor is a life-threatening danger?

I wonder what the defender community would say if someone said that any defender that can solo reasonable well is a Offender..

[/ QUOTE ]
Oh, that would be interesting, indeed. Some would be quite surprised...
I think it's - like Sinergy_X said - more a matter of playstyle. Sure, often enough you can tell by the build if someone is a scranker or a tank - it's only logical if you consider that players usually choose powers that accommodate their playstyle if they're smart. But at level 40-50 it's not always that easy to tell them apart as scrankers will feel the need to fill some holes in their defense sooner or later and tanks might find it handy to be able to dish out some damage, too. But when you team with them you will notice the difference nonetheless as one won't care too much about the aggro others get as long as they have enough foes nearby to do some damage while the other goes out of his way to protect the rest of the team and does damage when he has time and endurance left.

That said Whirling Hands is a nice attack for a 'tanky' tanker as it's damage really adds up given the flock of mobs that should be cuddling with you. Damage-wise and endurance-wise it's better than any single target attack unless there are only one or two mobs left standing. Plus, it reminds the mobs of who they should concentrate on.

Tornado is definately a solo power or a "The situation is already completely out of control and if I don't use tornado now then people are going to faceplant" power.... or a power to pull round a corner with when you've had too much coffee.

[/ QUOTE ]
Oh, I use Water Spout (which is basically the same power) with my dark/dark stalker to keep a nasty boss/EB occupied until I have stacked some Touches of Fear (and to get one or two free AS) and I use it solo or in teams when something went terribly wrong to cover my retreat.
My ill/storm troller used his Tornado in a similar way, but I have since specced out of it, because he's a team toon and other powers are needed more.
I don't drink coffee, so I don't corner pull with it, but I guess you are also right on that one.

Oh and in reply to the poster who said energy is the worst match for kinetics because of the knockback....take hover and fire down from above turning knockback into knockdown

[/ QUOTE ]
Indeed. If you use your attacks like this you could even be useful to your team instead of a constant debuff.
Of course, unless you are totally bent on energy blast (Personally, I don't even like the look of it.) you could also just take a different powerset if this sounds like too much work.
However, I have to say that if I for whatever reason end up in a team with an Energy Blast corruptor I am happy if he is a kinetic and uses siphon speeded Hover for above-mentioned playstyle. Other secondary powersets tend to make me cry when paired with energy blast, especially dark and rad. (Self-debuff FTW! )
And just because I saw someone mention it before: Please don't pair kinetics with AR! If there is one thing you don't want as a halfway decent kinetic player it's long animation times and AR's animations seem to last hours when you are high on kinetic speed.
24. <blockquote><font class="small">Antwort auf:<hr />
For me its Placate - BU - AS
and other times just attack. Im not wasting placate for anything less really outside pvp.

[/ QUOTE ]

Secondly, you might get hit by your opponent's friends during the long animation of AS, thus wasting your Placate.
So, as Placate recharges faster than AS anyway and there may be circumstances preventing the successful use of AS as soon as it is up, saving Placate solely for the preparation of AS wastes quite a lot of opportunities for perfectly fine hard-hitting criticals.
I like using Placate directly after AS, so that I still get the buff from BU for the following crit. With powersets other than EM you get quite some mileage from that.
