I recommend a fifth of bourbon.
But hey, if it would make you happier go with the other suggestions. -

I think the second line stands for itself. From now on I can only condone farming and justify my actions as follows:

But if it wasn't dUmb, wouldn't it be either ISAD or Infinity Server Department of Agriculture? -

Just noticed the new sig - without the first line the second one doesn't make sense.
Also, did you ever make Ebil Farmer? -
what about demonic angel catgirl ninja space pirates?

As a hero, you were given a contact in City Hall depending on your origin. Since you're over level 5, they won't give you any more missions, but will introduce you to another contact - that contact will send you to the Hollows to go talk to Wincott if you haven't already talked to him.
You don't have to do Wincott's missions, nor do you have to even do those contact missions. If you choose to, he'll have you do a few missions, then introduce you to two other contacts - Meg Mason, who provides random missions similar to the police scanner; and Flux, who continues with the storyline in the zone.
As was said before, you can go to King's Row. When you first enter the zone, a contact will show up on your navigation bar - this is a detective who gives you a police scanner. The scanner counts as a contact (you click on it from your contacts tab) and it gives you a selection of 3 random generic missions. After 3 of those, you're given the option to take a Safeguard mission or not, where you prevent a bank robbery.
If you take the Safeguard, once you complete it (succeed or fail) you'll be introduced to a new contact. If you succeed, you'll also be given a temporary power - for levels 5-10 this is a Raptor Pack (a jetpack that gives you 2 hours of flight time - note that the time only counts while it's active, so you can keep it a long time by conserving it). At 10-14 it's a Zero-G pack which provides a mimic of Super Jump.
There... poorly formatted, but most of it's there. You also have the option of just heading to the AE building and running architect missions the whole way up. -

If you can do it without sacrificing damage, and Dual Blades doesn't need a lot of +recharge to get near its peak on damage dealt,
[/ QUOTE ]
That's the second time someone say that in this post. And it's far from true. With normal recharge, you'll do extremely less damage then a perma-hasten purple build. The more recharge is almost always sure to increase the damage output, since you can spam your best attacks a lot more.
So, yes you'll be far from it's peak . =P
[/ QUOTE ]
Kindof a threadjack, but you only need 128% recharge in your attack chain (counting global recharge and enhancements) to seamlessly chain Blinding Feint -> Attack Vitals: a chain that provides more DPS than (double-stacked) Empower -> Sweeping Strike, which requires 214% recharge.
Since it's more or less out of place here and has been discussed in another thread, why don't you go here and post your "peak" chain. -
A very expensive /Stone build can counteract the -recharge penalties of Granite. Since the Brute damage cap is so high, you'll almost always be doing less damage per hit but it'll be a relatively small difference compared to Granite Tankers.
So yes, you can kill them with a Granite Brute. You just don't need a Granite Brute to survive them. -

I can easily take 10 bosses with my /EA. I regularly run an all boss mission solo with him and herd the aggro cap without a problem. My /EA is softcapped to all defenses except negative energy and psi
[/ QUOTE ]
A well-built EA will have no trouble surviving most situations, but still won't be a good "tank" though because someone will be stripping aggro off of them on a team. You can get the attention back with an AoE, but a few seconds later it's just going to turn around after it's been shot again. -

It's not the worst thing to slot towards and is usually tied with +HP set bonuses.
I would say the worst thing to slot for would be +mez resistance. :P
[/ QUOTE ]
+global KB and/or procs that do KB... but +mez resistance is up there.
My suggestions: some +hp, some +defense; Tough and Weave; Darkest Night.
If you can do it without sacrificing damage, and Dual Blades doesn't need a lot of +recharge to get near its peak on damage dealt, you can work with Kinetic Combats (for Sm/Le - all but the proc for 3.75%), Pounding Slugfest and Pulverizing Fisticuffs (for En/Ne - use 3 of each in attacks for 2.5% per power), Thunderstrike (3.75% En/Ne for 6-slotting, 2.5% for 3 slots) or Devastation (+2.25% hp/+12% regen and 3.75% Psi def) in Gloom, and slot your resistance powers with Reactive Armor (4-slot for 1.25% S/L/E/N). LotG gives +hp and +regen with only a few slots... my SM/WP has a lot of wasted +1.13% hp bonuses because of my slotting for recharge. That will cover a large chunk of the damage you'll see coming at you, Darkest Night will cover the rest.

The charts are interesting, but I have a couple of questions since they weren't listed in the methodology:
1. What damage slotting were you using in the attacks? If you are using base damage only, then it seems clear that with the lower damage attacks producing a higher usefulness from Scourge, slotting will reduce the effectiveness equally as much because you're now no longer using a (for example) 0.6 DS Neutrino Bolt, with 95% slotting it would be 1.17.
2. In a similar vein, it should represent a higher percentage of increase against higher level mobs - how difficult would it be to set it up with +1 (90% effectiveness), +2 (80% effectiveness), and +3 (65% effectiveness) mobs to show the levels that a Corruptor will run into during normal game play with the various difficulty settings?
Both of those would affect things, especially when you're looking at increasing the lowest possible damage that you're doing through slotting, or reducing the highest by fighting higher level mobs. -
Nah, don't need that much to soft-cap SR.
A better answer would be whatever secondary on a Stone Melee primary. None of the Freakshow bosses have knockback resistance/protection and Fault can be doublestacked relatively easily to permastun bosses - it can be done with just SOs against even-cons. -
I'd also recommend skipping Fallout over skipping Mutation - both require a dead teammate and while one is more fun than the other, the one that's less fun is a viable option far more often.
-
I agree with most of your post, but the markets are only seperated by faction (hero and villain), not across servers.
There is NO difference in price from server to server. -
Just checked - as of noon edt today the following names were still available on Infinity:
Architect Abuser
Egregious Abuser
A Warning to Others
Ebil Farmer

I'm sure that soon after Scorching shows up on the map, something will be burning.

Every Kinetic build I've ever played was constantly starved for endurance until I hit the level Transference is available at - even with endurance reduction slotting, you're firing off a lot of powers in a short time frame.
You can slow down how quickly you go through endurance by slowing down your rate of fire - both on the attacks and the buff/debuff powers - but most of the fun of Kinetics for me is the frenetic pacing. I recommend lots of +recovery IO bonuses. -

My Fire/Kin skipped Flares and took Siphon Power at 4; while you're levelling up it helps despite being completely redundant after level 38.
[/ QUOTE ]
Should be noted that SP is not redundant against strong single targets...of which CoV is not lacking, particularly after 38.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's true that the debuff stacks nicely, but by that point survival usually isn't an issue and kill speed is.
I still stack it, it's just less of a priority and I don't bother when I'm damage capped. -
My Fire/Kin skipped Flares and took Siphon Power at 4; while you're levelling up it helps despite being completely redundant after level 38.
Hover/Fly is a preference issue; I prefer Combat Jumping (immobilize protection) and use Siphon Speed or Hurdle+CJ+IR for travel. If you're not used to moving fast, the flight speed cap helps you out, though - my first /Kin took Hover after I found that with Siphon Speed I was overshooting, later I got used to the movement speed and respec'd out of it.
And Rain of Fire is godly on most Corruptors, but I find that long DoTs don't mean much with Fulcrum Shift in play since the spawn never lives past the first 2-3 seconds of it; my 50 Fire/Kin took Maneuvers and Tactics, Combat Jumping and Hurdle where you have Hover and Swift, and has Vengeance in the 40s (47 iirc, with 49 being the patron pet 4-slotted with SHOs for 66% accuracy and 95% damage/mez).
Depending on how reliably you find teams, you can also swap Stamina and Speed Boost just to have it available for your teams earlier - using it on your teammates will help you get to 22 faster than Stamina will most of the time. -
Is this where I should make my sarcastic comment about being too afraid of losing my character if I play an arc that Posi decides two weeks from now is a farm?
Nah, not that irrational quite yet.
I'll bring Scorching along - she's still level 34 so can't get into RWZ but once everyone is 35+ there's no need to keep it to a specific side. -
That thread just exploded too fast for me to bother trying to keep up with, although I skimmed through it and actually read maybe 5% based on the page count compared to the number of posts/pages I completely skipped.
I find the anger on both sides a bit amusing, the threat of possible retroactive penalties stupid (yes, the wording Posi used implies retroactive punishment - my only real problem with the changes), and the posts simply to gloat about people being angry as temp-ban-worthy trolling. -

And this right here is what I saw complaints about while logged on - there were a few broadcasts of "is that it?"
I personally enjoyed it, when I wasn't lagging so badly that I couldn't get powers to fire.
