Not all spine attacks have the dot though do they?

[/ QUOTE ]
True - Assassin's Impaler, Build Up, and Placate don't have the DoT. Just all of the other powers in the set.
2. Due to an apparently routing issue somewhere in the pipeline between my ISP and the Guardian server, I won't be making it tonight.

I can get on the server, but about 1/4 of the time I'm frozen in place as there's no communication between my client and the server (verified by netgraph). I tried another server and didn't have any issues, so I'll be on there tonight instead.

Thanks for the advice. Altho now I'm thinking of going for rad over dark for a primary, as I hear from credible sources that dark sucks at pvp lolz.

[/ QUOTE ]
Electric Blast does fairly well in PvP, also.

Electric/Thermal is one of the FotM builds currently.
4. [ QUOTE ]
I tend to fight very large numbers of mobs since my primary is WM. I have lots of AoE's so I like to have many targets. When I use ED it is a 56% heal off of 10 targets and mine fires off every 25 seconds. That is a pretty good heal in my opinion.

[/ QUOTE ]
And my Energy Drain, using 5 slots and getting 91.78% endurance, 68.9% heal, and 78.55% recharge, is a 50.7% heal against 10 targets every 19 seconds. But that's kindof like saying that Dark Obliteration at high Fury is over 1000 DPS against 10 targets - sure it's true, but it's not all that useful to know.

Against a single hard target like an AV, I don't count on having 9 other things to surround myself with, though (usually Soul Drain kills them before the fight's over). Yes it's great in crowds, but that's not usually when I'm in trouble. But since Siphon Life is in my attack chain and provides a decent heal (12.7%) roughly every 6 seconds, I just use Energy Drain more for endurance than anything else.

Truly high end perma-doms would double and rarely triple stack domination allowing them to do more damage than they will in I15

I can't wait to see you do this Smurphy

[/ QUOTE ]
Even with the increased damage scale on Fire Blast and Blaze in addition to the higher AT modifier?

[/ QUOTE ]

I believe so.

Feel free to prove me wrong

[/ QUOTE ]
Hm... just some quick numbers showed that was true; without FE a perma-double-stacked Dom had around 3% more DPS than a post-i15 Dom on test. Of course, perma-double-stacked Domination is roughly 355% global recharge to get the base 200 second Domination recharge down to under 45 seconds...

I didn't bother to run the numbers for FE but they'd be behind by a significant amount while Fiery Embrace is up, though - they'd hit the cap while the i15 Dom would have plenty of room. The question then becomes is FE going to be up frequently enough to make a difference, and at those levels of recharge it'd be up well over half the time.

You'd definately be running through endurance faster, though.
6. If you're going to use it for PvP, I'd go with Thermal over Kinetics. Yes, it only has 3 powers that you can use by yourself in PvP - but they're more effective and useful than the ones that Kinetics has available in that environment.

As for advice on the specific build, I don't have much - the PvP section may be able to help you better.

Have you checked these patch notes?

I'm hearing talk from several people that Confused Heroes on the Recluse Strike Force, specifically, will not damage each other.

[/ QUOTE ]
I don't know one way or the other on that one - I've never been on a team that bothered to try confusing them, knowing that we could either sleep them or just wipe them out all at once.

I was speaking more of using the confusion to prevent the one you're working on from hitting you, since it's unlikely you'll have the available animation time to get two of them confused through PToD. Post i15, damage shouldn't be too much of an issue - I think someone calculated out a perma-Dom Fire/Fire at around 300 DPS (don't remember if they were including imps or not, and the thread is too long for me to want to dig through it since I don't remember whose post it was).

Stone Armor

[ QUOTE ]
I wish they would proliferate MA over to Brutes just to see it paired with /Stone.

[/ QUOTE ]
Or proliferate Stone Armor to Stalkers. That one would be funnier IMO.
11. [ QUOTE ]
I use Reduce Interrupt enhancements in Snipes on my Blasters and Corrs, Aid Self on my Tanks and Brutes (that have it) and in Assassin Strike on all of my Stalkers.

It helps a ton.

[/ QUOTE ]
O rly?

h4X!!!
12. You can get 3/4 of a bar per target from Energy Drain? I only get about half...

But yes, slot for endurance. The heal is useless against one target, and marginal when surrounded.

I think it's gotta be the mind dom, but I'm really quite skeptical about your ability to deal enough damage to beat the regen.

[/ QUOTE ]

I took out a level 51 Synapse while he was Perma-Held.

[ QUOTE ]
And yeah, chances of perma holding an AV are slim, but like somone already said perma CONFUSING is more likely.

[/ QUOTE ]

Chances? It's mathematically based and there is little to no luck involved. Sure I can miss occasionally but that's about it.

Is Confusion resistance on Heroes/AVs affected by purple triangles?

[/ QUOTE ]
Confusion is affected, but I think it's the only way you'll be able to make it work.

Against a 51, powers are at 90% effectiveness. Against a 53, they'd be at 65%. I think you can reasonably expect a 4 sec cycle time on Dominate (that's roughly 300% recharge in it), but to break PToD you'll need to have 9 stacked at mag 6. That gives you 36 seconds if none miss.

The initial hold portion is 17.88 sec - this is the only portion that's mag 6, since the extra length from Domination is only mag 3. 65% of that is 11.622 seconds, so to get that to over 36 seconds you need roughly 310% Hold enhancement.

The base portion of Confusion, on the other hand, is 19.37 seconds after the purple patch. The animation time is longer (2.244 after adjustment in i15) so it will cut into your attack chain more, and you'd still need around 290%+ recharge in it to break PToD, but you can stack it enough on a +3 to do so.

The Placate bug

[/ QUOTE ]

There is no Placate bug in PvE, save for the wonky behaviour of AVs and the problem with Elec Melee.

[/ QUOTE ]
IIRC it's not AVs, it's EBs - and that's due to the magnitude that Placate is set to (mag 4) not being high enough to bypass inherent EB status protection.
16. [ QUOTE ]
I vote for Warshade.

I would've liked for my first 50 to be one. Alas, it was an Ice/Rad Corruptor (first hero 50 was a Cold/Ice Defender).

Well the army has decided to send me to Korea, and I was wondering if I can stil play this game over there, I hope so

I know they launched the game in Korea but it failed

Also if I went to Europe I know they have their own game but could I still be on the same server/and toons I have now I would hate to have to start fresh

[/ QUOTE ]
You should be able to play on the US servers using your same account from anywhere you have an internet connection that doesn't have an intolerable amount of network lag/latency.
18. [ QUOTE ]
I respect mids for the great tool/ aid it is. However, without citing specifics, I've learned to confirm actualities rather then credit it at face value. In case of seeker drones, confirmed;
corr seekers: accurate to hit debuff, stuns, to hit debuffs and ranged.
mm seekers: accurate to hit debuff, stuns, to hit debuffs and targeted aoe.

[/ QUOTE ]
Oh, I simply don't have a Traps Corruptor to check it with and wasn't going to create one just for the information and get it PL'd to check - my Traps MM I did log on to check with, which is why I added the footnote "according to Mid's", since it didn't match what I saw ingame on her.
19. Just a note on levels: Miracle and Performance Shifter start at 20, Numina's at 30... the 25 is Luck of the Gambler and has a half-aspect for defense, so you might want it at higher than 25. I personally never do and prefer it being available at the lower level, but if you're OCD about the best possible defense... In any case, if you want those levels you need to set the slider appropriately.

The Steadfast Protection unique is the same way with resistance, but if I'm playing a defense based character I typically don't have the resistance power early enough to care about the minimum level (10) and like the mid-upper 20s for those.
20. <QR>

The issues have already been addressed above if you're staying together; it's a timing issue and a Stalker + Brute actually makes a good combination - you keep mobs off of him so he can use AS without interruption and he gets bonus criticals from you both being melee characters, and the Stalker takes out a few things quickly to help your overall kill speed.

Another approach, especially once you both have SOs, is to simply split up and each of you clear the spawns solo - missions go faster and the exp pours in, and when properly built each of those ATs should be able to handle a spawn for two without issues (even without SOs, really - my friend and I were doing this with two level 21 Stalkers - Spines/SR and MA/Regen). So even if you can't get the timing right, you can still help each other simply by going your own way and doing your own things.

22. Redside is fairly active in my experience (I started redside on Infinity); I'll echo the advice of joining some globals and suggest poking around in the SG thread to see if there's anything you like.
23. [ QUOTE ]
What would you guys and girls do with 663 merits?

I am leveling a new Kat/WP Scrapper, he is 43 now and I have not spent a single merit. When I get to 50 should I buy a Numina regen/recov for myself and a couple of LoTG rech to sell for 70 mil a piece? Or should I go for 30 -40 random rolls?

[/ QUOTE ]
If you're just going to sell them, especially heroside where the big 3 recipes aren't so far above and beyond everything else in market price, take the rolls. Then check recipe and salvage prices vs constructed IO prices and see if you'd do better making it before you put it up.

If you need something in particular, buy it.

25. [ QUOTE ]
I've tanked for TFs on my WS Dwarf. It's ok, but personally, I'd feel better with a Tank. My peeves with the WS Dwarf are:

- Not enough attacks for a no-pause attack chain. I even slotted Antagonize with a Proc, but there are times I'm just twittling my thumbs waiting for anything to recharge.

- Antagonize's taunt is weak. I don't have it fully slotted yet (only +40% value boost), but it seems the equivalent of clearing my throat for all the attention I'm holding.

[/ QUOTE ]
My WS has also "tanked" for a couple of TFs - including Manticore's, Numina's, and the ITF (although my Fortunata did it better on the ITF) - using Dwarf and Eclipse, and can put out quite a bit of damage in the meantime.

As for the no-pause attack chain in Dwarf... I didn't have any problems with it, and I don't have all that much global recharge slotted. I just went with Crushing Impacts and most of an Obliteration set for Dwarf, and frankenslotting the pre-buff siphon life clone. Sure I don't get double-stacked Dwarf Mire, but with Sunless I can self-cap damage and if you can't self-cap resistance with Eclipse you're not even trying.

I'll agree about the taunt being weak, though, and I'll echo that a Tanker is going to have an easier time with everything.
