If I had my filter on, I couldn't imagine not asking what the blazes you said if I saw "afk grabbing a $#!@&^@" pop up in chat. Its kind of scary to think no one has asked in 18 months.

First, Welcome to the game and the forums. Here is what farming is as pertaining to COH.

    Farming
    1. The act of repeating an action a number of times for the purpose of earning something from the repeated action. In City of Heroes this most often involves resetting a mission a number of times in order to earn something out of the mission multiple times. Things earned vary from experience, to influence/infamy/prestige, to badge credits.
If I may, please play and learn the game before you resort to farming for anything. Farming is mostly done once you have a lvl 50 or two under your belt, and you have played through most of the content(hopefully).

If you ever find yourself at a point in your toons career that you don't have enough influence for SO's, give me a shout, I will happily donate some funds to cover some expenses for you as well as point you in the direction of earning your own "shinies".

I also can't recommend enough that you check out the Mentor Project.

I'm entirely thematic with my travel power picks, so if someone is a flyer, they're a flyer. It's not that much slower and maneuvers well, and concept means a lot more to me.
Absolutely. I guess I am biased, my first few toons had to stay close to the ground for some of their powers to work(Fire tank, Stone tank and an Ice 'troller) Over the years I have just grown so accustomed to using ss and sj, even teleport, that fly never occurs to me.
  7. Or start two accounts... If dual boxing interests you.
  8. Even if they increased the flight speed of Fly, I would more than likely still take SS or SJ. Just for the utility of hasten, or combat jumping. Air sup is nice enough I guess, Hover is okay, but I wouldn't trade Hasten or CJ for both of the pre-flight powers.

I'll tell you, it is going to be even harder to pry me away from either set one i19 hits with inherent fitness considering neither really need any slots to keep me happy.

    Flipper Fridays

Not enough drama in it. Need a casual warshade purpler to ***** and moan for staying power. Or perhaps a visit from Hero himself.

    So..... How did it go?

I like cursing because it cuts right to the point, without dancing around at all. Everyone understands exactly what point is being made. It is a very efficient form of communication.

One of my most repected mentors that I have had along my career path was so creative with cursing, I would call him an artist. The last thing I would accuse him of is limited intelligence.

Another example. George Carlin. Nuff said.

I do however, cater to my environment, and with two kids under 2, one whom is learning to speak, I don't swear nearly as often as I used to.

Constantly. Music lyrics, puns, all kinds of inspiration.
  13. It may be wishfull thinking, but I read that as Beer Raid.

Alot of the people in this very thread do more educating how to make influence than bragging that they swindled old Mrs Templeton out of her pension cheque.
  14. I saw the review on the Something Awfull Forums. I bought it the next day. When I logged in, and showed up at the base of the stairs in Atlas Park, and saw heroes Flying, and Zipping about with SJ/SS, I was hooked.

This game is my first, and only MMO. Playing as an elf never appealed to me.

And those with without ADD can low bid, wait 10 mins, and buy under the vendor price.

If I want to buy it now, I am willing to pay the premium for it.

It is argued that the presence of the flipper makes it actually worth it to sell some items on the market. As opposed to just vendoring, or deleteing the items because you will get less for them at the market than is worth listing.

If you cant follow that, it means that if people are not putting things on the market, there is no way for a buyer and seller to be matched up.

No thanks. I am okay with power customization for Granite, but there is no way I want to look like I was on the losing end in a poo flinging contest with chimps again.

Also, only a really really lazy forum would collectively reply: "just go to the Defender/Corruptor forum" because those AT work totally differently and have different *needs* for powers than MM do.

    Specific Questions:

I just made a necro: why can I slot heals in my zombies? What does that do and would I want to?

Also - how is it that other pets can reach their targets but the zombies are apt to run around in circles constantly when I tell them to attack and can't seem to path very well? What's up with that?
Wow. Is it that difficult to extrapolate what a buff/debuff set means for your pets?

As your specific questions have been answered already, my question is what does your specific questions have to do with the secondaries anyway?

Honey works better than vinegar mate, no matter how many smilies you use.

Feel free to pm me any storm or traps questions in relation to mm's.

At any rate, solo'ing most single AV's isn't much of an accomplishment any more. IO's have pretty much made this a realistic goal for anyone that wants to do it. Solo'ing AV's as quickly as possible and/or solo'ing multiple at the same time is still an activity that can set a pretty high standard for others to measure up against.
Makes it a terrible yardstick to measure the size of your ***** against then doesn't it?

Yay, you get 2 attack sets! Does anyone ever need TWO? Sure, I suppose I can see the attraction of having high dps as the primary, and something like energy as backup so you can use the kickback in clever ways but... really? No defenses, no resists, no buffs, nothing - and all to get two attack sets you don't need? You don't even end up with higher dps than other ATs. The one advantage a blaster gets is being able to fire despite mezzes; that's a real small advantage.

These guys could use an overhaul of some kind.

    Squish.

    Mac

Edit: Always a chance I missed something important that makes Blasters really useful but... I can't for the life of me figure out what it would be.
Damage is king, Blasters = damage.

I can't play them for crap, I like close work. Damned if damage is ever obsolete though.

To my knowledge these, the following AT's can solo AV's:

    Defenders
    Corruptors
    Controllers
    Blasters
    Dominators
    Masterminds
    Scrappers
    Brutes
    Tanks

Haven't specifically heard if stalkers or H/Veats but I wouldnt be suprised, and I'm sure someone will come and say they have. The question is what you have to sacrifice in your build in order to do so. Again, that is not what the game is balanced around, and thank heavens, all that single target damage appeals to me not.
  22. In the end, the only way I can give any credence to a real world example, Is when every single citizen is able to mint their own cash, and have it accepted as a legitimate currency.
