Apples and Oranges. He's talking about Mega Judgement. You are talking about plain old vanilla judgement.

Actually, that was joke for the folks that have been around awhile. It has been at least 6 years since I have heard anyone ask that.

You are however, correct, so in that spirit, here is a guide to COH acronyms.

  5. Unfortunately, I can't turn it up to 11.

I really wish there were larger spawns or something though. Even though the judgment powers can hit up to what, 45 mobs, the spawn sizes remain the same. I would love to have a league on a iTrial run into a spawn of 100 mobs or so, but all we get are spawns of what... 12 mobs or so. Instantly steamrolled by 16 to 24 heroes.
  6. COT are found on the rooftops in Kings Row.

Second or Third the advice to roll something soloable. That way you still feel like you are advancing while you are building up your friends list. Not just standing around waiting for a team.

Random SG invites = Bad. Play with some folks in the SG before you ask to join or accept the invite.

You can always go plus 1, 2 , 3 or 4 if you want. My thought is by raising the health slightly it balances the game play no matter what level you play at.

Just don't nerf anything after people have put so much time or effort in one direction.
Besides it being a bad idea for people that are not built to handle mobs like that, it would affect the people who do build to handle mobs like that not at all. How exactly would that bring tanking and control back? More importantly, where did tanking and control go?

Same. As much as I have run the iContent, I have to run it for much longer still to catch up to the amount I have run the regular content.

Keep in mind that with pairing defence and -tohit the mobs will always have a 5% chance to hit.

You can actually push through the resistance hardcap if you pair enough resistance with -damage.

Vrs single hard targets my cold corr using infrigidate and benumb are able to bring a target down to 20% damage. Running tough unslotted brings me to 82.4% resistance to anything that target is throwing at me. This ignores the corr hardcap of 75% Void and Paralytic to spead the -damage aound in my aoes? Sign me the f up.

With a stone tank and a sonic def/cor, it is possible for the tank to ignore 99% of incoming damage. Will there ever be a situation where that is actually needed? Doubt it.

This means Scrappers gain more of a benefit from it, whereas for Brutes the effect is largely diluted by Fury and is working off a lower base damage.

The caps issue is that Lightning Rod and Shield Charge are pseudopets, so they use the pet damage cap, 400%. With about 100% from enhancements, 100-140% from Fury and Build Up you're already close to hitting that cap on a Brute. This means Scrappers get more benefit from damage buffs for these powers too.

Brutes do have more hitpoints, but they're not any easier to softcap than Scrappers. Brutes and Scrappers use the same defense modifiers. Deflection and Battle Agility are 11.3% def base for Brutes, exact same values for Scrappers. When softcapped, a Brute will be tougher due to their higher hitpoint pool. That said, being softcapped is huge mitigation by itself so I'd go with the Scrapper since the offensive advantages far outweight the defensive advantages of a Brute.

Another thing in the Brutes favour is that they have punchvoke on their primary attacks, but AAO is such a strong taunt aura it doesn't really matter.
Thanks Silas, first time I have actually had it explained out to me properly.
  11. Both tele attacks work off of base damage, and can only be buffed to 400% of base. This favors scrappers.

Brutes are easier to softcap and have more hitpoints.

Debate ALWAYS comes down to this: What do you prefer? More damage, or more surviveability?

(Correct answer is damage :P You just need to be surviveable enough to deliver it.)
  12. I rarely take sleeps. However, would possibly consider taking them to aoe spam the reactive just for the -res stackability. Would still give you at least as much mitigation as an aoe knockdown.

That said, If you like the sleeps because they sleep stuff, then would probably pair it with something else.

Why dont you start in praetoria so you can roll a brute and still team together from lvl 1? Can have most of the surviveability of a tank, and if you find tanks slow, playing chase the fury bar might be a nice mini game for you.
  14. Good seller, fair trade. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. There was some discoloration on the IO, but a little CLR got it right out!

  20. If the participation mechanic can't measure every single way possible to effectively participate, it is flawed.

If the mechanic is not triggering a higher reward table when imo reputable people in this community are saying they are doing more then the dev stated minimum, it at the very least needs to be looked at.

That the trail opaquely measures and reports to the player that they have not done adequetly enough to receive a better than thread reward table despite them giving their best understandably leaves them frustrated. That they find it unfun is justified.

For players to state that it is working as designed is asinine seeing as we dont actually know how it works. I guess as long as it is working for them, there is no issue.

For the record, I do not share this experience and have received expected ratios of the reward tables. I have never received a thread or VR table.
  21. I don't always solo oversized mobs, but when I do, I bring a ladder.
  22. An interesting comparison. Considering I like Katana over BS because the lower recharge, animation times, and endurance its suprising that I have always favored spines over claws.

In regards to spine burst, and spines in general, if you are not at aggro cap, you are not utilizing spines properly. In the old days, I would rather hunt large spawns of -1's or -2's in perez than spawns with 3 to 6 +1's, 2's regular zones.

    Most fun?

Fun to me is listening to my kid talk about whatever. Or cooking up something awesome that everyone loves.

I know a guy who's idea of fun is dressing up like a girl and getting sacked in the nads repeatedly.

    tldr: Fun is subjective.

There are more parties involved than "you" and "them". The site wasn't down for everyone, so that suggests it wasn't them. Doesn't mean it was you, though. There are parties in between. However, holding PS accountable for failings of other people is just plain ridiculous. So is the notion that saying "it's not their fault" is the same as saying "it's your fault".
In the hotel industry, you complain to the general manager, or the f&b manager if you have a problem with a meal, you dont complain to the cook, because frankly, he can't do anything about it. Sure, he might be able to replace the dish. A complaint to F&B or the GM however, will often comp the meal, and sometimes the table. One would hope to assume in this case, that marketing has the clout to make things happen.

You seem to be stuck on this whole fault thing. There comes a time when you need to forget about blame, and just fix the damned problem. What matters is there is a lack of communication, for whatever reason. People here are giving solutions for that, and you are saying its not needed.

Please find below ridiculous examples of where you hold the players responsible (who is PS anyway?)(Sorted. Thanks EN)

You couldnt possibly be saying its our fault here right? Cause, you know, you've lumped everyone together.

I've had legit emails from MMOs somehow end up dumped into my spam box before. However, they also made the announcements in several widely available and easily accessible areas. They've pretty much done everything but hand deliver notices to everyone.
Nothing in my spam box, thanks. COH mainsite, forums, and updater info wern't working either. Probably still my fault though right mate? I dont want, or expect a hand delivered notice.

I do expect that fellow players should have be a little more understanding that not everyones situation is the same. As such, paying subscribers requesting that marketing work on better ways of communication does not seem like a request that should be shat upon. However, as you have been doing exactly that, is to me a logical definition of vehement disagreement.
