The same goes for anything else that takes a nosedive because of bad choices. It's not my job to explain why I'm not enjoying myself. I'm in the game to have fun not to get practice for my future career as a guidance counselor.

I'd be more understanding if there weren't an error that warranted another shutdown and if more warning were granted for the second shutdown and if more information were provided during the downtime. From a business standpoint this was all handled very poorly. I have to conclude that the developers simply didn't give themselves enough time to do whatever it was they needed to do AND check their work. If initially they stated it would take nine hours I'd have been okay with that. If they gave us more than five minutes warning to log off I'd have been okay with that. If Freitag had something more substantial to say than, 'I don't know what happened and I don't know how long it's going to take.' I'd have been okay with that. Again, I can't stress it enough, at the end of the day, it's a business. These were all courtesy opportunities they missed out on. And I'm saying had this occured at a store, a cafe, airport, etc. it wouldn't be okay.
Maybe I am reading this wrong, but it seems like your first instict is to ask for free coffee. -

No specific powersets, but there are definately some out there that I just don't click with. -
Any primary where the pets are predominately in melee. Ninjas, demons etc.
I know you didnt ask for a mm secondary, but I will agree with storm. Storm is way more end intrusive than traps or dark in my experience and can also use all the recharge it can get to keep freezing rain, tornado and lightning storm out constantly. -

It doesn't matter what I paid, the fact is I paid. Let me put it another way. Let's say you go to an upscale restaurant and you get the priciest thing on the menu and someone at another table gets an item much more affordable, that person would still have as much right to voice their concerns over their dish if they felt something were wrong. And you can't quantify the investment in this game on dollars and cents alone. This game is also a time investment. I'm trying to change the alignment of a character from villain to hero for a friend who's on vacation which we all know takes roughly 40 hrs assuming I were to get tips on a regular basis. I took off work today to spend time doing just that and find out I can't log in. There on the forums I saw the five hour shutdown window. I'm inconvenienced but it's not a big deal. I can still plan around it. I log back in later on for about 30 minutes and out of nowhere I see the red text stating I had 5 minutes left to play. All day I check intermittently with little to no information from Freitag. When my friend gets back from vacation, his toon probably won't be ready to play with the rest of us who play heroes for another day or so. While I do acknowledge the apology, how's that going to help me keep a promise I made to my friend? It isn't. I'm probably going to give him a purple recipe to make up for it. I know he won't be up in arms demanding any reparation but it's the gesture that counts. Now while I think awarding everyone purple recipes is a tad excessive perhaps some extra offline XP and perhaps reset everyone's fame timers.
It takes you 40 hours to switch alignments? You have more issues than the servers being down. Also, you know that they can play hero side just by going rogue right? Thats gotta cut your investment down to at least 20 hours. no need to take another day of work off! Yay!

Not only does it sound like she chose not too help them hold it together, her first thing to do it ***** and moan about how these inexperienced leaders are not good enough for her skill level.
So to that I say, Do it yourself first, try the shoes on. Being a leader is more than knowing how to cook.

Debuffs and Damage Over Time effects both cause foes to flee. The effect is kind of ridiculous. I am rather confident that it has become worse over the years than it was originally - indeed I'm not sure original foes ever ran away short of outright terror effects. Now, however, it is ridiculous, IMNSHO.
The only time I really notice it is when I turn it up past +3. Anything below and the mobs die before they get out of spine burst range. -

It would not be so bad if there was some kind of prior notice given - possibly in the launcher - for those of us who don't use the forums much. I had no idea there would be 6 hours downtime until 5 mins ago and feel that a lot of my day has been wasted.

Agree to a point. But point 1 has nothing to do with being a leader before. If someone advertising they are forming for one thing that should be the thing they run. Deciding to be cute and change your mind at the last second is wasting everyone's time and is an idiotic jerk move. If you want to run Keyes SAY SO ahead of time so for folks can decide for themselves.
Quitting a team where the leader suddenly changes the activity isn't bad, as you may not have time for the new activity. -

Most of it is avoidable. The one that I can think of that isn't, it is possible to heal back pretty quickly.
As with all content, as the playerbase adapts to the presented situations, the situations are trivialized. Terra Volta respec trial for instance. -
