  1. I may switch out flares for the snipe on my fire/x Corrs.

I may also try a firex3 blaster, but no guarantee's it will make it past 30.

Because the game isn't balanced around softcaped blasters. Also, snipe change is a snipe change not a blaster change.

It's a final tier APP power so it requires 2 other power picks and isn't accessible till level 44 so it's not like it doesn't require an expenditure to reach, and by mere observation, it seems the Munitions APP is actually already the least popular of the APP choices for blasters.

The power just always seemed very underwhelming to me, especially compared to having Judgement now at level 50.
Most likely because it is an aoe.

Will also say that with these changes, and a possible time bomb change, my fire/traps corr will play very, very differently.

Not sure, how about start with how many times the power info description has been wrong. You have a ways to go.
  7. My toons usually have a specific enemy group involved in their backstory, and so when I am on a mission with that enemy group, I tend to get a bit... Personal with clearing the map.

Though by no means are any of them limited to said group. Until ssk'ing and the mission difficulty sliders, almost all my toons had a very specific route they would take to level up. Hellions till I could enter Perez, where I would then chew on hellions/skulls till I could get into boomtown. Council till 14ish, lost till 21. Bp in da till 23. Sky raider luits till 27 or so in tv, then freaks till 31ish. Again freaks, or nemesis in creys folly. Rikti, and whatever got in my way in rwz, and last couple levels in PI, mostly chewing on nemesis.

Also, Hopeling, or somebody else in the other thread discussing this, looked them both up. They are IDENTICAL except for that 0.25 second delay.

    Also....
    1) 0.25 seconds is not enough time to make one power "inferior" unless 0.25 seconds just completely screws the power, which would be a problem.
    2) Common sense says that "if they want you to be untouchable then they want you to be untouchable". They don't want the person using the power to die instantly while they are still stuck in an animation that can't be stopped and while nothing else can be activated.

You're ignoring common sense and I will not continue to argue with you.
That delay is not supposed to be there because it completely breaks the power, ruining its intended purpose.

If it was really meant to guarantee that you had 0.25 seconds to die then it would not be a resurrect. It would be like as self targeted Fallout instead, damaging enemies without trying to bring you back to life.

You're either blindly saying "the devs never make mistakes" or you really don't know how resurrects are supposed to be used, especially ones that damage enemies in a small radius meaning they are supposed to be used in combat after you die to come back and fight.

Are you going to see reason or continue arguing against the design of the power?

Imagine a world where it is possible for two completely reasonable yet different logical conclusions to be made. Once you do that, read through the thread again and keep an eye out for unreasonable reactions.
  9. .25 of a second is a ***** to count, but it is plenty of time for a few pre aggroed mobs to make a tohit check.

I had this conversation about a year ago, I assume it is wai, since the .25 second wait is limited to pools/epics/whatnot. Should it be wai is a question for a different thread.

Either way, if it helps at all, if I remember correctly wait a few seconds for the mob to shift aggro, then hit it. The mob should take longer than .25 seconds to re aggro. I believe that solved the issue for the player back in the day.

Agreed, I will never understand that subset at all. If there isn't a trial forming within 5 mins of me looking, I am doing something else. I don't have much time to play the game, so standing around watching folks preen is a sure fire way to burn me out.

Yeah, it's not that I am afraid, it's total lack of interest. All I do all day is make decisions and lead, I don't want to do that while I am chilling.

Oh, here we go. Actually, I do see threads complimenting good leadership. Maybe not by name, but then, threads lambasting inept leadership don't name names either. Most of them are indirect compliments--threads about a task force that went well, or in which some team achieved some kind of success.

Most teams, including PuGs, are mediocre and don't merit a thread one way or another.
I respectfully... Never mind. I wasn't saying they never happen, but you must admit they are outnumbered by complaint posts. Frig, it isn't even enough to be a good leader, if you go by the vocal minority here on the boards, it isn't enough to just play, you need to be an totally alert and focused tank, or a conscientious scrapper that never locks up, or a defender that doesn't blast, or a defender that does... I am very thankfull this is a solo friendly game. I am also thankfull that I can find a team with ease if I am looking for one.

What I'm referring to has been prevalent for 8 years and has been seen for everything from radio missions to incarnate trials, old fashioned sewer runs, to trick or treating.

The real issue is they think recruiting, selecting the mission, setting the difficulty level is a chore that they avoid at all costs. We've all watched teams dissolve when the leader leaves and the sheep play "Hot Potato" with the star and quit to send LFT spam rather than accept leadership and recruit one more person or continue playing.
I respectfully disagree with your disagreement. The last thing I want is the responsibility of everyones happiness. I can count on one hand how many times
I have seen someone extolling the virtues of a team leader on the boards, and even if I found myself with double the digits, I wouldn't have enough for the amount of times I have seen posts lambasting inept leadership.

My leadership days ended when my friends list went grey 5 years ago. Leading pugs has no appeal to me at all.

    However, to the OP:

Even though it was a long weekend, I'd suggest not chemically recreating starting Friday eve and going hard at it with no break till Monday morning, and then deciding to post. Give yourself a recovery day next time....

I believe the infringement on employees off-work time is also the reason they changed the scheduling of the updates to the Paragon Market.

EDIT: Friday night is one of the two days of the week that I'd NEVER ask an employee to have to interrupt their off-hours plans every week. Saturday would be the other day.
It's crazy what one can do with a cell phone these days. I can control my boss's whole house with mine. I don't expect extra from him to fix his tv settings remotely.
  14. Nor' easter - ice/storm troller that I don't enjoy playing, but refuse to give the name up.

    Radiation Leek - plant/rad troller

Ohmie D Clown - elec scrapper
  15. There is no way I will let you see my gant.
  16. Since the game is still balanced around SO's, and the great unsubbed can't do incarnate content, where it could be argued that the end game is balanced with IO's in mind, pretty much any combination will do.

All the fotm's from yore will probably fit the bill of what you are asking for.

    Best is always relative.
  17. I find it is usually akin to overhearing a phone conversation. Add me to the nice to have an option list.

Thankfully the same advice works for mothership raid gathering, hami raid gathering, or anywhere a bunch of people may get together without turning off their aura's. Less you have a slash command for that stuff as well.

Also, if you didn't notice, I am against the idea, but the noise argument is weak.

Give an xp/reward bonus for outdoor mobs. Just like that, folks move outside to play, the hazard zones actually get a bit of use, and people will complain that it is unpossible to find mission teams anymore. The circle of CoX life.

I've been paying extra for years. Walkmen, discmen, iPods, etc.

There is always the option of turning down your own volume for a bit, rather than insisting that everyone around shut down their loud annoying powers.

Not trying to single you out, but doesn't it seem more reasonable? Turning the volume down for me is less clicks than shutting my auras down.

If not a fee for /ah, how about a discount if you buy at WW/BM? In the real world you get charged shipping and handling if you don't go to the store and buy it yourself.
In the real world, I shop at places that ship for free.

I get that Goat wants to have folks out of instances and congregating. Unfortunately that died when the devs gave mission bonus xp. Apparently there is no going back. Much as I wish otherwise.
  22. If I wanted people to hate me? Get rid of badges. Not just stop producing them, but strip them from the game.

    Fixing PvP?

I guess the devs would also have to make ouroboros cross faction as well then before this could be introduced as well.

Sounds like a lot of work in order to take someone else's ball and go home. Convert the shard to cross faction, update it and introduce your suggested play mechanics there. You get new shineys, and pvpers don't feel like they have been swept under a rug(at least, no more than they have).

2 months after GR released, rolling up gold side was quieter than villains. How many folks run through first ward these days? It doesn't matter what the devs do, we consume the content, and get bored of it faster than the devs can design it. All the dev time spent repurposing the zones to your suggestion will be no different.

I like the ideas, and think that they would be interesting, maybe something along those lines, but entirely new zones. I just don't think they should completely destroy an aspect of the game that a segment of the player base enjoys, no matter how small the percentage is.
