HA! Got away from the evil clutches of babies earlier than expected! We're on again for this evening!
-
I'd personally love to see the cut-scenes rendered with voice-overs. I'd be able to stand them a few more times that way.
Of course that would require someone to actually "play" statesman etc. They'd be forced to hire those "artists" every time new dialogue was required. Guess they don't like that idea...
..and bad voice-overs could kill ANY game so fast... soooo fast... -
We'd love another recruit, and got lk spaces, so go on and roll one. We're still playing sundays and mondays, but on a side note...
...I might not be here tomorrow (sunday). A friend got his second small one (baby, not lvl 1 or smurf) and "real life(tm)" feels way more important. So worst case scenario: See you all on monday! -

Redwood City (Trion Network) and Mountain View (Paragon Studios) are about 13 miles apart just south of San Fransisco.

I was not being totally serious

I guess you where just eager to derail another thread with a pointless one-liner... -
Just goes to prove my point: When good people leave NC/PS they will find a good/better place, so no need to go "britney-spears-fan" about it. Getting laid off, changing work place is a fairly normal part of life, and (usually) not a total disaster. There's always a new job for the good people!
...but of course SW:TOR will dominate the universe and probably kill a lot of the competition! -
I really like the idea for one very simple reason: Our actions make a difference in the actual game world.
Compared to other games it seems that's the main selling point of EVE and some other games. I'm currently playing inFAMOUS on the PS3, and "winning" my first zone was very rewarding. I've heard Tabula Rasa players talk about simiar experiences.
Unfortunately pvp/RV seems pretty much broken in terms of player activities EU side and I can't see that getting started again. Sad, because I really liked the idea of battles raging back and forth. It just didn't seem to work very well. The original Battlefield game is still my #1 favourite ever. Fighting for those control points (wet, dreamy gaze)...
...Oh, lost myself for a while there.
Anyway, with some serious thought and tweaking, I think this was is the best idea presented by a player so far. Thanks! -
It seems a lot of foes opt to run nowadays for no apparent reason. I think it's the devs way of "making it harder" since they don't really know any other way.
/Signed... Stopped playing for a couple of days because it was annoying me... Stopped playing MA solo/small teams completely. -
Imagine that... "Someone" dropped a pointless one-liner and the thread is derailed.
I hope we never ever get animated hair! -
Hum, agree, villains need some luvin', but not sure I'd want it wasted on the lower levels. I autocomplete my way through 1-5 pretty much nowadays, some go the mission architect route.
Level 5-20 could do with some more variety in missions, but you get out of P.O. so fast anyway it's a waste to build a completely new zone for it.
A lvl 35 store in Nerva would be nice since it's a ->35 zone and I prefer the Nerva arcs. St Martial is just plain dull imho. While the mid level could use some variety, I'd still rather see the devs concentrate on end-game stuff. I wanna play my 50s. Why did I waste all that time, energy and inf on purpl'in' up if I don't get to do some fun with'em? -
So...
1. Redsiders makes less inf
2. Redside has higher prices
3. You also get merits easier/faster blueside
I obviously play the wrong side... Some mad rogue fire rad/kin trollers should make up for the inf imbalance pretty fast though, but I deffo feel villains need some love. While I don't like the "going rogue" idea (would've been nice from the start, but not as a 5-years-later-throw-in) it just might bring some balance in the force! -
LMAO...
well, got a new recruit, so team is limpin' forward... at a rather nice pace, but summer might put it on hold. I tend to run off every evening to get a beer, do some BBQ and other real life stuff.
Still hope to see ya'll on sunday anyway... -
Sleep is GREAT...
Hit a mob with sleep when you're soloing and pick them off one by one. Don't mess with the mez! -
Bah, another reason to keep steam closed then!
Can't understand why Steam can't scan the HD and find steam'ish games. Someone should slap their devs properly until they fix it. -
Indeed Beyond...
...it is silly even if a sleep power is mostly useful when soloing, which I wouldn't do on a 50.
There's a bunch of similar recipes you can't slot on those that should be able to slot them. Some recipe names are just silly that way. Also I find it offensive that the "sig hero/villain" recipes are mostly [censored] compared to the other sets, but that's a completely different subject! -
Oh... Old stuff I miss...
Zombie MMs, seems rare nowadays (Red Moon Evil, where did you go?)
Old Hamiraid
Old Mothership raid
CoP
Base Raids
Badge parties, back in the days when badges was still fun
Debt, back when it meant something
Perma-stuff (Hasten, PAs etc, can still get but just too expensive to bother)
..and of course, all those cool, fun players that left due to lack of content and generally dislike of a certain company and their so called customer support. -
Indeed a good question Cynic... Would be worth it for the patches even if I routinely shut down steam!
-
Well, I'd love to go for an all buffer/debuffer alt or an all out AoE spammer. Would be totally impossible to solo with, but amazingly fun in teams.
...and would be a total nightmare for n00bers. As a veteran reward it might be kinda cool though, or expansion thingy, unlocked once you have a level 50... They could call them... Incarnate! -
The extra functions are really great, not to mention me being able to sit at work, without installing this, and brain storm when bored.
A bit sad we won't get maps in it, since I'm too senile to rember the maps without some visual aid. -
Also, in MA 2.0 this will be a feature apparently - the ability to set the level of the mission.
How that will (not) work and present new problems will be interesting to see! -
Love the idea, might have to waste some time doing my own poster once I get some time off work. (Grades due in next week, teacher's version of Hellweek)
-
I think it's a mixed blessing...
The badges shouldn't have been there in the first place, same with some invention badges and the "epic" badges.
...But since they where, people have spent time getting them, and are - rightfully so - annoyed about loosing them.
Now, It's another dropped ball that swings the mood the wrong way, a no-win situation. -
Well, you and anyone else is welcome!
We've got LK space, so that's no major problem and since we only play sun/mon catching up sholdn't be too hard.
We'll accept pretty much anyone really, but fire alts and kin/rads are preffered. It's just nice to have a regular team playing same alts every time as an alternative to the 50 SF grinds and general "level up" stuff. With 3+ kins/rads we also keep a very nice pace up.
Oh, we're 32'ish now too, so TEH NUKEage has begun! -
Gratz man.
Those soldiers are very team friendly, so if you want some speed on the xp, that shouldn't be any major problem. -
Hmm, I'm drooling at the idea of dropping 2-3 MMs in favour of some rads giving AMs (kins would be just too busy SBing).
...I also thing we've found the reason for the bad lag/DC for everyone! Did anyone in the team DC while on the TF?
