    Armed Pets, Bug?

    After some long testing on testserver with my MM's (41 merc/TA, 35 robot/psn, 27 necro/trap, 22 nin/psn, 20 thug/dark), i havent seen any big changes that looked like some good loving fixes for the pets. Robots still do very ok, main issue remains at the ninja's and mercs, still retarts as they are now. And the fun burn patches, disr.grenades and crystals.. still make em go crazy.

    New to tanking

    Minor con with inv, it has no damage aura. But believe it compesensate with a always hit taunt, unlike fire blazing aura wich needs a tohit check. Fire has its improved healing flames, wich makes it a very solid tanker nowadays, untill you face some nasty -recharge.

    Most sets are basicly what you like to play, overal they are quite evenly balanced. I'm raised with a perma-granite, have a fire and inv tanker also, but overal i remain loyal to my granite Ice i tried, but the set just doesnt suit me very well. And a big pro on granite/rooted, massive resist to end-draining (sapppper).

    Mace/axe have the redraw syndrome, SS has a long lasting Rage and a awsome aoe knockdown (compensate -dmg with granite quite well), EM has the possiblity to perma stun basicly anything and remains at low damage for very long time. Both work great imho, focus on the boss with the single targets, keep the rest of the mobs taunted/gauntlet or busy with the taunt aura.

    But for basicly any set, endurance is a big problem untill you get Stamina, and even then it can become very tricky. Specialy if you attack alot, wich in small teams or solo happens.
  3. Tried my granite/SS in RV with a full specced tohit/acc freak, basicly i can hit anything. Downside became the unresistable damage, even with cap resist (sonic bubbles) 3 AS hits managed to drop my health scary low. Luckely having a Kin around, keeps you moving around I can hit through ice defence without problems, having quite a range of attacks i can cope with the -recharge pretty ok.

    tried my fire/em, its nice but once you get -recharge on your butty its kinda over.
  4. Nice raid, minor fun with the tanker (TANKER DOWN!), and stupid enough i got my 4th dmg/mez. Having 4 dmg/mez and 2 dmg/range in a row makes me hate that blobby thing even more

    Luckely i traded 1 for a heal/endred
  5. Ok now i'm really fed up retyping the entire message again, followed by a 'cant find page'. Anyway, at certain moment i notice the FFG is either lingering behind me at quite some distance (aka the moment i do 1 step forwards i'm out of bubble or my pets are outside of it since i immobilized a mob), or is just not following fast enough.

    By just replacing the slow/away FFG by one that is near me (and my pets), it saves me some annoying moments.

    In the heat of battle, i dont want to do a rightclick/dismiss (or x), as often i'm jumping and clicking around. But now reading you can just resummon one and the old one gets destroyed... I serious never knew that If this is the case, its simple and easy i have found my problems solved

  8. In quite some situations the bubble stays at a little distance, but just at the wrong side (at the back). Only way to get it closer for my pets is to run forward and draw unneeded agro. I want it to be where i want it to be.. not near it or behind it.

    By simple destroy it and resummon it in front of me (mather of few seconds max) its back where it should be. I know the macro to make the FFG, but i am looking for the commandline that can destroy it. (like the /releasepets, /petcom_all dismiss etc, since the FGG is no valid 'pet' for the petname command)

    Fixed for truth

    Each prefer their own sets, some dont like the fire animation, others dont like the 'elec beam hits but still it says miss', others dont like AR or sonic (the noise!). Blasting/blapping the best is on the set that suits you most.

  11. That's actualy the thing i'm doing now, but i was wondering if there was actualy a command that can destroy your FFG. Since i'm using a G15 keyboard, would been cool to have buttons assigned for it so i dont have to keep clicking.
  12. Been playing around with my necro/traps, having loving bubble boy the FF generator. But sometimes it just dont wanna follow in a proper way, or stick too far away from me. Since it has fast recharge, i often dismiss it and resummon it at the spot i want it.
    Now i tried to make a macro that dismis it and exec the power again so i get i get the clicky cursor again. But wich command can i use to dismis the FFG, since /releasepets destroy everything and petcom_name Force dismiss isnt working (says no active pets wich such name).

    Anyone experience with the bind/macro's on non-active pets?

  14. AoE mayhem is only possible in teams that are viable to do so. Second to that, PvP has very little to do with 'possible' inbalance of the secondairies. Though funny, if you post this topic 1,5 year ago and everyone would have agreed.
  15. First it was elec/elec, then ice/nrg and now fire/fire claimed to be 'dah uber dmger'. Its play style, teamsetup and mezz-buffs and very important, mob spawn size (great to have aoe's versus 1 mob is it? ). As Spirit say, you also have to look at sets solo or in 'less ubah' teams.

    and for the swords, its roughly 100 (+ slow) vs 100+20 DoT. Bone Smasher goes 140 but with stun chance. Outside the DoT, its exact same damage as charged brawl, ice sword and energy punch. Exact numbers are on the first page
  16. Dont pin me down on it, but isnt the /dev stun power (2nd tier?) already a 'redraw' power? I think the problem with both AR as Dev, once they buff up 1 of these sets, they might become overpowered when played with a different primairy or secondairy.
  17. Its a byebye for my /Dark, gained quite some influence from selling all SO's I so love the assasin strike with blade, how i love standing in front of a mob trying to wack me while i go back into hide. Never knew why i picked /dark in the first place

  19. Here experience from a 39 AR/ice.

    As said earlier, you like AR or you dont. Its a huge (for some ugly) gun with lovely sounds and a insane "DODGE THIS" powers.

    Each secondairy has some use to the AR set, but often only usefull in certain cases. Ice is great for solo, although slow, ice patch with nonstop ignite can even take down +4 bosses. Imho the true power of AR is 'watch, aim and kill'. I've been teaming the past 2 lvls with a PB called Dio., a very nice player and often in a full team. Having 2 kin's and a rad, we're talking big damage here.

    Tank goes in, BU flametrower, walk back and Full Auto. Most cases only the bosses remain, or lowish health LT's followed up by a snipe to the boss. No need to run in, no need to be close. Overal my FullAuto is up at least 1 time per group, often it was up even 2 times. Burst and slug help alot for runners, beanbag awsome for a quick stun. Ice patch below you to keep possible aggro at range.

    Solo, it just takes a bit longer. But compared to my nrg/ice, the AR/ice actualy can do it faster. Having ignite (OMG BURN!!!) makes the difference. Imm 1 mob, hit ignite and continue with the other mobs, most cases the mob goes down in 1 ignite. But, having a set like NRG or Elec will come in handy often, the huge damage they do makes it faster to whipe out maps solo. Adding the later Epic munition, giving a good AR hold and a ranged AoE snipe

    But again, you like it or not. In a good team the damage is awsome, solo is quite doable but very depending on secondairy. (i havent tested /devs, but i asume the balance comes in the mines and that turret).

    Overall, its stil the draw/rooting/redraw that makes AR less wanted. With /ice its very doable, ice patch helps alot and the hold power compensate alot (bit buggy). Its not the high-damage dealer like fire/ ice/ or elec, but its a lovely set to play with, this toon definiatly will reach 50.

    Armed Pets, Bug?

    I've did several runs on my mercs, they still keep redrawing every single mob. The moment a mob dies, poof, gone is the gun. Oh wait, another 6 mobs.. grab gun again. Although they seem to grab it a bit faster.
  21. I'm running out of character slots! As i trying to make each AT at least once, i need to clear out 1 of these 2.
    Although my MA/dark is already 22, i noticed the lack of defence (instead resist) makes going back into hide quite difficult. Other hand has /dark some great tricks in its set, MA is overall pretty nice and doesnt have the 'redraw syndrom'.
    Other one is a lowbie blade/nin, i just love the blade, i love the AS move. /nin has some nice tricks too, heal and great defence based. minor issue is the redraw, but i get used to that due my katana/regen scrapper.

    But 1 of them has to go, i dont mind re-lvling again, as long its worth the shot. I hardly have seen any high lvl /dark stalkers, the /dark scrappers are end-hogs and have no serious panic button. Any thoughts?

    The main issue with this, often the updater wont reach any decent speed at all. I tried both methodes, where the updater wont even reach 300KB/s yet my http download of the USclient hits 1MB/s quite easy. And if you need to download 2GB+ of files.. thats gonna take some time.
    Sidenote to that, i sent in several tickets of that last year, when i only used the EU-client file numberous of times the updater started to re-download the whole 2GB+ content.

  25. I agree on most points on that, good arguements Although the pvp-aspect should not be the baseline of wich a power would good or not, as pvp is still optional.

    BFR is great for opening, followed by a FR and you got ranged boss-holding. Luckely we do agree on 1 point, Tier 9 power needs some lovin

    I have 3 /ice blasters (26, 38 and 41 - fire, AR and nrg), chosen for the safe solo pace of lvling. Each having their range of powers given them a great synergy (burn ftw), but its 1 of the lesser sets (next to /fire) that i cannot benefit each power fully. I gues its part of playstyle, as i am original born as ice/nrg, then most sets feel 'weaker'
