  1. Crazy good? LOL a huge pile of empty air numbers totaly based on something no where near the reality. Trowing around numbers 'so i scare you enough and you say I AGREE!' attemp failed misserby. DPA and DPC, rofl he really tries to be 'famous'.

    Making such huge post, such numbers about 1 power, totaly forgeting ratio of 1 power versus the rest of the entire blaster set in damage. No, i serious laugh at that post.

  3. I'm pretty sure it will work way better then current defiance Dispite the 1/1.67 upcomming fix.
  4. Lets take the numbers from Tomax:
    Sonic : 1.33 / 1.67
    Fire : 2.17 / 1.2
    Ice : 1.17 / 1.0
    nrg : 2.0 / 1.67
    elec : 2.0 / 2.07
    AR : 2.2 / 1.87
    Arch: 1 / 1.67

    tier 1, 1 remain, 6 become faster.
    Tier 2: 3 remain, 2 slower, 2 faster

    If you rely that heavy on 0.5 seconds with Ice, i serious dont know how you play the set. As for Flares, you might ask TG about the purple IO set you can slot with it..
  5. Ice will gain on tier 1, loose little on tier 2.

    Elec/energy/AR will be the big gainers, energy has a 2sec tier 1 and elec is not far behind with both. Ice and fire tier 2 however has to give in Fire gains alot though, flares, ice tier 1 minor (0.17sec).

    So its more like the nrg/elec/AR vs ice/fire/sonic balance, as Archery already has 1/1.67. Yeah, i like it

    And to the 2 above, remember from PvE PoV.. PvP is always second

    What aggro cap?

    I think you need to dive in more on details how exactly the agro cap works. Solo reaching over 16 is really really easy (farmers can comply), in teams you will see what the agro cap is about.
  7. The endurance cost of Tier1/2 is nearly nectectable compared to the full set of Blasters. It balance alot as secondairy effect is greater with the 'fast cast' powers then the slow casting (AR, energy), It brings the weaker back to the stronger ones, so very well a balancing effect.
  8. it might be the start towards the more 'balanced' among all sets. The snipes are all the same (well, only 4), but all the other powers can really need some 'looking at' (FA vs RoA, Firebreath vs Flametrower, etc etc).

    If we remove the 'element resistance' part of each set, their vary massive in DPS, where control and 'aoe' has no to little affect on their balance.
  9. More like read the exact part:
    One of the thigns we want to do for blasters is normalize the attack times for all of the 1st and 2nd tier powers. What we'd like to shoot for is a 1 second activation time for 1st tier powers, and a 1.67 second activation time for 2nd tier powers.

    This means for ALL sets, including AR (oh redraw) and the most hated nrg tier1.

    Never really troubles, but it slows down alot if you solo. A BU and pop a red they still go down, just slower
  11. I was just reading my post, seems things have changed.

    Where in the days i wrote that guide, the US-client download was a full client, they now reduced it also to only the updater.

    As there is a big trial-account campaign going on CoV, i asume the update-server might be a bit overstressed.

    Kerensky, any possible way there can be made a mirror of the client? (either zipped or whatever, at least something they have to download less).

    Hm, 1.05.. not very noticable at later lvl i gues.

    Added that its all SL dmg, although SS has equal but can compensate greatly by Rage.

    I always have serious issues fighting council (or sortlike), due their very high resist to SL.
  13. Asume he has no hasten, 2recharge/2endred works very nice. Althoug having stamina, 2rech/1endred would be sufficient.

    I would move those slots to fearsome stair (acc/rech/fear), shadowfall (resist or a def) and indeed 1 to assault (extra endred).

    Smokeflash, put 2 rech in it, it makes it nearly perma (10 sec of nonstop crits).

    (/points at hasten, secondair blaster BU, reconstruction, punch vs kick, etc etc etc)

    And what is the exact 'bonus' on Mace and Axe? Dont believe they have any higher base acc isit?
  15. Hm, for new players it does look empty. Getting into a huge zone with nearly no one walking around.

    I remember my return to US, created a new toon and was just quiet the first 5 minutes i entered atlas park.. huge ammount of people running around.

    I was trying to get a Fraps movie recorded, but somehow i keep getting black recordings.

    I will just go use a stopwatch then, need 2 bars to 35 to test in RWZ.

  19. Oops my fault, i meant protector bots. Specialy with 2nd upgrade they tend to loose endurance faster then the others.
  20. Once u hit 35 u dont need those endreds in your attacks anymore, powersink is up each 30sec and with hasten even faster.

    I miss Hasten in _max_ build, something wich really makes a difference on fullauto. Cryo freeze ray i would stick to 2acc/2hold/2rech, with lvl50 IO's you already cap out each part. And nothing is worse then a miss and you have to redraw.

    Upto 38 electric fence is your only ignite holder, specialy in the 20s ignite is really a lovely power to have (fence, bag, ignite, dmg finish the rest).

    So i join Maxmillions build, although i would go for some set IO's on Fullauto and flametrower to increas their range (equals cone). Specialy FA needs quite positioning to get it hitting all mobs.

    1 nice way to test, katana/regen.
    Do in followed order:
    Brawl, Slice, Sand of Mu, Buildup, heal, golden dragonfly.

    Now again:
    brawl, Sand of Mu, Heal, Buildup, Slice, Dragonfly.
    I know, not the most efficient chains, but you get the point

    Its amazing how much time between these 2 chains are, only due redraw. Redraw does indeed reduce casting time on long casting, but most powers with 1sec casting still last 2 sec (you cant slice if you dont have your weapon ready).

    Animation work.. they took alot of time in the new dual blades too, why not spend some time on exsisting sets then too? Mace is 1 of the, if not the, least used sets among tankers, even ice i have seen more often. Axe i see more often, i've tested them both as axe has a bit more balance then mace (and i really miss the overhead smash animation on mace, axe has it).

    My axe is stuck at 37 now, i face quite alot of mobs now havnig really alot SL resist (drones, alot council, CoT ghosts, freak tanks) and redraw is driving me crazy. Specialy with Epic comming up, each power makes your weapon dissapear again..

Increase the time before all weapons get put away by themselves and change the powers that pointlessly require weapons to be put away. Then give Mace and Axe to Brutes whom they are more conceptually suited for. Mace lacks a wow factor thats for sure but having looked into the numbers I don't find mace gimped or better still as gimped as people say.

    I been poundering on that for ages now, why not leave the weapon on permanent, 1 quickkey to remove it (/e drawweapon or something - although some dont like the game, TR has this feature ). Although i'm pretty used to the little redraw issues, my AR getting pretty stupid, since /ice BU removes the weapon again. Thanks that guy above this doesnt happen with mace/axe.
