    Katana, axe, stone, Mercs, SS, claw etc etc. Ok, they have abilities to 'increase' their strength, so a Tanker with SL would be better example

    I stick to my point, they made the big mistake of making 1 class 'nice to have' - the soldiers, and 1 class that nearly has the 'OMG 8 team PWN ALL' tag.

    But then you can question: Is Bane underpowered, or are the widows quite overpowered? (hello stacked def buff).

    I been following the US thread abit, kinda boils down to the story about balance in blasters, MM secondairy or troller strength among their sets.

    I forsee more then widows get a tonedown, rather then bane getting a boost.

    Aegis is resist, no power of ice or dev has resist element. (afaik blaster has no resist in their primairy secondairy at all, only defence in /dev) Only option is to take the armor from the epic pool, all of them have resistance.

    That has been the flaw since they ever introduced PvP.

    All you can do is a jump-by-attack, same for tankers (wich are even more useless).
  7. /TA is too much of a meh power. Although it can reach the highest -res debuff of all MM sets, it has some great moves.

    However, well in my case with mercs atleast, its highly bugged. Disruption arrow often makes your pets totaly uncontrollable (aka, they stand there doing nothing, nothing helps except resummon or wait a few mins), EMP arrow is nasty if you also run leadership/shields (your end-recov is set to 0, without blue its dangerous).

    Most powers have delayed actions, wich makes it sometimes not work at all. (aka your animation still going, but your target get killed). Added, redraw issues if you also play with the attacks and your (almost needed) aid other.

    Boils down, full team play support or allround. First case, TA.. other cases, Poison by far. The secondairy strength of Necro is lotsa stacked -acc, wich TA has only very very little (3% iirc), where i believe the poison version is pretty strong (20% ?).

    DB tankers

    I got 3 DB's on testserver (ice, WP and inv) that were boosted to 36 back then.

    The animations are pretty gimped, highly flawed if i compare to other games that have dual blade. Specialy the tier 9 is so static, while your arms move rather unnatural. Same for that tier2, frontslash/groundslash makes a very unatural move.

    Added that combo's fail/hold if you miss, often the power isnt recharged yet to continue the combo. Finaly, if you wanna use the combo's, you are pretty forced to get a set of attacks, wich i dont really like (limition of powerchoice).
  9. Well, my Merc MM is that borked its sometimes not fun to play anymore at all. My necro/trap however gives great joy playing, just that the content is boring.

    As for the other ATs, i do have several from 12 to 33:
    Brute: I prefer a solid 'state', tanker or scrapper.
    Dominator: I have a 33, enjoyable
    Corrupter: i prefer a blaster, by far.
    Stalker: Imho a underperforming scrapper, not my kind.

    But for the break, i only play currently cause a quiting friend gave me 2 timecards. Dont even know when they expire Hero side i still enjoy playing, even with my 50s. (i have i believe 34 characters atm).

    I'm already pretty bored with the entire CoV content, its missions and its varity of mobs (arachnos, longbow, cot etc), not to mention the ongoing issues with pets and their flaws.

    As i reached the last 7&9 lvls with 2 MM's, i still cant find enough motivation to reach lvl50 with them. RWZ missions are dull, CoT/Longbow/Carnies make my pets go crazy, Council only give those vampiri/wolfs and i serious hate the nonstop fighting against AV/EB's (in Hero side you can easy evade them).

    So my last hope is SoA's. Kheldians i was really dissapointed in, funny you can shapeshift but i have a Granite wich does the same. And even if i get a SoA, i need to redo the entire dull content once again.

    So, are they worth it when you already are bored with CoV?
  11. Dark is alot about -acc. So it suits both the ninja as necro. Ninja for their defence (they have no resist) and necro since the pet themselfs do also dark attacks.

    Ninja sometimes can be a bit stupid, specialy if you try to get them all in melee range. The Oni with tarpatch is big fun though. The smokething power gives 1 pet 10 sec nonstop crits, wich is really lovely.

    Necro is mixed psn, S/L and dark dmg. Personaly i really love them, the zombies as junkfood, skeleton for lovely dmg dealing and Lich for the mez powers (stacked fear, wooo that).

    They are quite matched to eachother, necro every pet gets a self heal at 2nd upgrade (rather nice to have) while ninja can ditch out more dmg when u use the smokebomb and tier2 has placate. Necro gets extract soul, lovely when 1 pet dies in battle and get a free ghost in return. Necro has a minor better ranged dmg, ninja can do abit better melee.

    With dark, i would personly pick necro, due their stacked -acc debuffs and combined mez ability. Lich has a nasty downside because it has a cone knockback, Ninja tier1 pets have a downside since they get a knockback power at 2nd upgrade.

    But overal, pick either set. Both are fun to play, great damage and very good solo ability. From scrath, ninja does abit more dmg then necro, while later zombie catch up alot.

  14. Why people keep saying its control? You mean SpecOps abilities?

    Redtomax info:
    Webnade = 30sec recharge.
    Flashbang = 120sec recharge.
    Teargas = 180sec recharge.

    Yup, alot of control isit? If we take Lich or Oni, they spam hold, immobilize, fear like no tomorow (vary from 4 to 20sec recharge max), thats what i call control. Add the pets knockup/down/back, calltrops, self heal, fire/psn dmg ability, little DoT's.

    They suffer every issue currently ingame, broken AI, weapon redraw, DoT-target-priority, broken power normalisation (Commando), interupt-healing, longest cast/upgrade powers of all MM and highly resisted SL along the game.

    I would put freeze ray way back, its the most loved power from the moment you get it.

    I took Bitter Freeze ray over Conserve power, double hold with PB can take reach great mag on hold

    For fly i would go for a fly/fly/end-red, as the last wont add that much fly speed. Added that PB already nearly caps out your fly speed.

  18. Mini bumb, i was wondering with defiance 2.0, what exactly does targetdrone and cloack give for dmg buff?
    I didnt found any data on cloak (only def and stealth) but targetdrone redtomax says:
    100% SetMode to Self for 0.75 seconds [Ignores Enhancements & Buffs]

    And not really sure what that means..

    I'm currently in a big issue with my new hosting provider to transfer my domain, it normaly should take max up 7 days. Appearantly they fooked up at some point and now my entire new host has been blocked out. Hopefully resolved this week and i will move everything over.

    So please just submit your hero's on the website, they will be stored and added asap
  22. I left CoH already, but had to bring a new scam-mail under the notice in general.

    Anyway, Mercs were 1 of the reasons i left CoX, being my highest MM i have (43). Some random points:

    Mez, if you want mez power, take dark, TA or traps, they mez 10 times stronger, 10 times better and 10 times faster. Their little ammount of teargas, webnade or flashbang? Leave the stupid powers and let the MM handle the mez (except for FF, all sets have strong mez abilities). Their damage is really far below any other set, not only due only SL damage (with exception of LRM missile) but due their insane ammount of DoT.

    Why? quick example. When a mob is left with 10 hp, any other set doing 1 instant damage will make all other pets stop attacking and continue next mob. As 5 merc pets do a high ammount of DoT attacks (actualy tier1 only have DoT's) with long casting, the moment the first starts, all other pets still engage attack since the HP is not yet 0 (dot of 2-3dmg ticks).

    Commando basicly uses 2 powers effectively. Full auto is a joke when he opens it on 1 single mob. A AR blaster knows how to use FA, knowns he has to position himself correctly to benefit from it, compared to all other Tier3 powers commando is a plain joke. LRM he only does if he's far far away from the mobs. (90% of the time.. he wont) same goes for the seals sniper shot. Their stealth is, unlike ninja hide or smokeflash, a serious joke. Randomly on off on off with no noticable advantage except a -runspeed penalty.

    I posted several other replies in sortlike topics with details info about basicly every power the mercs have (10 times mock the medic).

    How i ever reached 43? drag along with fast and solid teams, just 'pretending' i contribute to the team or sk'ing along in Rikti warzone with heroes. Untill i grabbed my necro/traps and missions went insanely fast.

    Unles they revamp many powers merc have (like AR got when blaster got his normalisation) it remains the lowest damage dealing class, with the most ammount of useless powers. Mez is a pitty excuse that stand little ground if you play a active MM and serious dont compensate their lack of damage. If i ever miss CoX, i think about my Merc/TA, i laugh and move on.
  23. US seems better value for you bucks (in numberous of aspects), if they ever would make a EU->US transfer i gues both union and defiant will drain empty

    Downside, i got too many characters here that i dont want to leave and restart all over on the US side. (although tempting, very tempting).
  24. The res debuff is shown randomly it seems. If i dont do any -res debuff once in a while you see the orange triangles apear on the mob.

    Yet more often, you see the 'debuff' icon in your own buff icons, with the message 'your resistance has been reduced'.

    As for the recharge, on a AR blaster this is really lovely. On a commando, it sux. His attacks are the pre-normalisation thus hardly trigger.
  25. I got 1 and 3 now, it does increase abit but i fight alot rikti wich seem to have a good SL resist. Flash arrow i wont even get for just that IO, it remains a big waste.

    Downside of the stupid DoT powers, its so hard to measure. (untill u see a 3-3-3-3 going 4-4-4-4)
