  1. My necro/trap at 50 never took and never will take that beacon thing.

    Its hardly that i ever stand still that long to a. cast it, b. get my pets in range to use it (they melee mostly), c. get used to the recharge of it. In the same time pets heal themself, i got aid other or just pop a green.

    I however do have all remaining /trap powers, even detonator (extract soul ftw).

    It actualy does exist, the only difference is that the right-owning parties never put and action into it.

    (dunno the exact english names of the laws, we in holland have such though).

    Sorry, but then he's a really lousy fire tanker. tripple fire always been 1 of the best farm sets of tankers, even before ED, before containment.

    Basicly every tanker can farm, mainly depends on the mobs and your IO slotting. Even with my Stone/SS/fire i can compete with some more 'favored' farmerbuilds.

    3. Nope, the client is a combined CoH/CoV client, based by your account info you get acces to either.

  10. Wich style you prefer? Close combat AoE madness or more the 'ranged spammer' blaster?

    /fire rely heavy on melee PBAoE based powers, being next to a tank its really lovely to play. But solo can be tricky, as you have no mezz-power at all.

    yeey.. i never liked this power that much, but chopping of a half second might give it a go again Maybe finaly time to finish my MA/WP character.

    However, alike with all other 'normalisations', will this apply to MM pets also? Like AR changes didnt really passed on to Mercs.

    He forgets to put on Rooted? (rooted gives a great resist against draai, even sappers shouldnt be a problem).

    I still love my scrappers, they are more 'avarage' then blasters. Each set of scrappers can perform very lovely, where blasters are very 'unbalanced' to get a decent and save attack chain going.

    Most of them are sub-tanks, picking up the pieces the tank left behind and smash them to pieces without worrying u might die (wich quite some blasters can do also with enough holds in their set though).

    No Dark armor, dont like. Fire and Ice are not really my thing. (only got a 36 wp/fire on testserver, dont like it).

  15. But thunderclap would be more a /secondairy, matching the /storm version. (forgot the name atm).

    Added, afaik non of the current troller primairies have 'trails' to their target. They all 'popup' at the mob. So the ST immobilize would suit (blaster secondairy set) yet the hold would mismatch 'concept based'. I dont know how the AoE version of the Villian epic looks like.

    I gues:
    1 Hold - either Tesla or Villian epic)
    2 Immo - Blaster /secondairy elec (elec fence)
    3 AoE Imm - Villian Epic
    4 errr minor stun?
    5 eerrr Drain power? Short Circuit?
    6 Sleep power (cone static discharge?)
    7 PBAoE Hold (Blaster Elec epic)
    8 Lightning rod? (Bonfire/Earthquake style?)

    Pre-ED everyone and his dog could get good slotting. IO-style, you either farm to infinity or be the most luckiest person in the world to get even close to a 'pre-ED' build.

  17. If you look at the full range of available powers, i would say dark and elec. But for both i wonder what pet they could use, as dark servant is party of the /dark side already, maybe Elec those monkeys in CoV near the powerplants?

    Hench, seen the new VEAT, even a device control set is possible, they have all powers available now also.

  19. Seems to extend to my domi pets also. When i hit 33 i only had 1 acc slotted, they did 35/11's DoTs on arachnos lts. After adding 3 slots, of wich 2 dmg, their dmg stayed at 35/11's DoT's.

    Dont forget EM pluse has a 15 sec -recovery. If you continue to spam, you're out of endurance really fast.

    Hibernate is like a 'use at any time rest' power. Lovely regen and recovery while nothing can hit you.

    And impressing of dmg of the elec cone, its roughly energy torrent damage.

    You shouldnt see epic's as aditions to your attacks, more like supportive powers.

    The power is lovely with Powerboost, heavy slotted it can nearly fully drain lts and some bosses. But it has no -recovery aspect, so mobs gain back their endurance. Good side, Powerboosted the stun duration is serious long

    Each Epic has good and bad parts. Fire has some nice tricks and a self rez, ice got my beloved hibernate, nrg got the FoN, elec got the stun (but pathetic long recharge) and amunition is only tbh usefull on AR blaster.
  22. Get the footstomp version of ice. Latest patch gave it a quit decent damage element, so its more then just sleep now. (frozen aura was the name iirc).

    And anything /ice or ice/, nothing compared to Tanker. Ice remains somewhat the weakest of all melee's from tanker, although it comes with decent survivability tricks.

    Few comments on powers: (those not mentioned are good).

    Level 1: Rock Armor -- DefBuff(A), DefBuff(3), DefBuff(3)
    Get a extra slot in, either for End-red, or (wooo) LotG+recharg.

    Level 1: Frozen Fists -- Acc(A), Acc(34), Dmg(36), Dmg(39), Dmg(43)
    Get a 50 acc/dmg IO, replace 1 slot with a recharge - gauntlet spammage

    Level 2: Ice Sword -- Acc(A), Acc(7), Dmg(34), Dmg(37), Dmg(40)
    See frozen fist

    Level 6: Air Superiority -- Acc(A), Acc(7), Dmg(34), Dmg(37), Dmg(40)
    I never used this power, only for the KD it does. Acc/rech IO would be enough in that case.

    Level 8: Rooted -- Heal(A), Heal(9), Heal(9)
    Get slots here for end-reds. Perfect would be a 5-IO heal set (5% rech)

    Level 10: Teleport Foe -- Acc(A), Acc(11), Acc(11)
    I self took recall friend, i would go with a rech.

    Level 14: Teleport -- EndRdx(A), Range(15), Range(15), Range(17)
    Swap 1 range with a end-red.

    Level 16: Swift -- Run(A)
    If you gonna use Granite, get it 3slotted with run, u'll need it.

    Level 24: Crystal Armor -- DefBuff(A), DefBuff(25), DefBuff(25)
    Try a endred to it, or optional slot for LotG+rech

    Level 26: Taunt -- Acc(A), Acc(27), Acc(27)
    Taunt is auto-hit in PvE, its PvP where it has tohit. Only put recharge in this.

    Level 32: Granite Armor -- ResDam(A), ResDam(33), ResDam(33)
    Get 6 slot, 3 resist, 1 endred, 2def (def portion it lovely).

    Level 35: Greater Ice Sword -- Acc(A), Acc(36), Dmg(36), Dmg(37), Dmg(40)
    See frozen fist.

    Level 38: Minerals -- DefBuff(A), DefBuff(39), DefBuff(39)
    See other armors.

    Optional, if fittable, Hasten. Once you can gain some extra global +recharge, it becomes manageble and it negate the entire -recharge of Granite.

    Stone/SS

    Stone mainly depends what you gonna do with granite.

    My tanker is a perma Granite/SS, comming from the time LotG's were still cheap i reached 64,5% recharge bonus.

    Solo with the new Rage (the -1000% dmg debuff), using only rooted, stone armor and the NRG armor (forgot name) you can fight the majority of most mobs ingame. I was pretty good at farming, Family man was rather easy

    Outside Granite your 'weakness' is rooted. That is the only mezz-protection you can have, yet it gives a full -jump/-fly. The nastly tricky part, if you toggle fly/CJ or sortlike Rooted will drop and you have no protection left. Use it very wisely. Goodside, it gives wonderfull -drain resist. However, the Psi armor is (next to dark and WP) a wonderfull power versus Psi mobs, however i just use a few purple and greens to survive.

    SS itself is a very nice allrounder, bit control, nice ST damage and works pretty smooth. 4 ST powers, a ranged that does -fly (wich recently been buffed abit), the handclap (the meeeh power) and my lovely Footstomp. Combine with some epic pool (i took fire) and it can be a decent allrounder.

    Reason i went perma Granite (with rock armor/crystal armor as extra's), you have more powerslots for attacks or sortlike. I have both fly and teleport, works good.

    Redraw in common is a (imho) plain joke. From the day i made a AR/ice to a merc/TA MM or a axe/fire tanker... it remains an issue that hopefully will be solved somewhere in far far future

    Avoiding 'heavy use' secondairy can save up alot on redraw, nrg and dev being best bets (psi depending on the usage). Arch/nrg with a perma boostrange is just lovely to play, even in PvP dispite it being highly SL resisted its a great set since you hardly know where the shots are comming from.

    If you see how they added Psi set for blasters, could be possible with TA also. Immobilize, a hold, the flash (like grenade of /dev), the glue arrow, oil slick and EMP and maybe the acid arrow (like sonic has -res also or AR -def). Perhaps aim to compensate the lower damage output compared to other sets.

    Then again, would be like a Defender but with more damage then
