    Yet, he's rather stupid making Second Life as example, as that game is based on RL <-> virtual exchanges, virtual items represent a reallife value, unlike any other MMO.

    If you tax gold-buying, you basicly legalise this. (a service or item exchange is base for taxing). Now it is not allowed, ban is result. Leave it that way, simple.

    Basicly yes. Several issues are around since release of CoV, removing the power solves it within hours and only need minor adjustment on playstyle.

    If we would wait for the fix, we would be problaby around issue 20 by then.

    [/ QUOTE ]No. Hurl is awesome. It's just slightly less awesome when he starts spamming it with closing in, but that's why the GoTo command is there. Micromanage your pets, you're less effective if you don't in general anyway - positioning the Enforcers for cones, the Arsonist for Fire Breath, etc.

    There is a rather big difference in micro-managing your pets and working your butty off for flaws in the pet's AI.

    Randoms:
    -Why do tier1 merc and bots open the autofire on mobs with less then 5% health? (waste of time).
    -Why do range/melee pets wont swap back ranged if you put them out of melee?
    -Why only 3 of the 5 melee ninja will go melee? (with forced goto)
    -Whats the use of a stealth and snipe on the seals?
    -Why doesnt the medic detect mezzed people? (you cant 'force' the power).
  5. Each MM pet still have certain issues. Imho for the bruiser, they should've removed any ranged attack at all.

    The medic remains a retart, he just cant seem to see his master is mezzed and happely clearminding commando. Same for the healing, interuptable and he wont cast it again untill its on the 'queue' again. Then offcourse the overall redraw issue and seals issue

    Kinda every pet with melee and ranged (graveknight, ninja's, bruiser) get borked once they have to fear run away from patches.

    At the end, just accept it. Its been now like what? 2 years, since release of CoV and some pets still are borked as they were at start. Just look back patchnotes, basicly never a pet fix. (apart from ninja last time).
  6. Is it me, or is -recharge and -slow massively borked on the testserver atm?

    I was playing around with my inv, a CoT ghost did a ranged frost bolt and i had a nearly stop movement (imaging granite with rooted, no slotted swift).

    Likewise to recharge, it took down my 4sec recharge attack over 8 seconds.

    I do like how inv now is, but it remains a endurance hogger. Specialy cause i'm used to the sets with endurance management (fire, ice and WP), i still not really enjoy my inv fully

    I think we should split the term 'server' here. WoW talk

    They got servers (asia, europe, US) and realms (daggerspine, eary peak, etc etc).

    So we got servers (US, Europe) and we got 'dunnos' (defiant, freedom, zudunkft).

    In that line, a server merge would do nobody harm, except that people will start shifting around. Names will remain, those who wish to transfer will chose to possiblity their name is taken on another server.

    Like u said, a merge between 'dunnos' would be highly unlikely and a bad idea.

  10. But then what? Linger around in a already lowered population server, only seeing numbers drop due people continue to leave for whatever reason? Advertise for what? Showing new peeps a deserted atlas or galaxy, they want to be 'one of them', not 'hopefully not the only one'.

    Is the only 'drawback' of a servermerge a character name? Then what would u do if they decide to merge union/defiant together? same story, different server.

    EU personal can continue doing their job, only the physical location and login-procedures would be unified, not the players itself. But the opened extra oppertunities would be massive, like the PvP chances would work on a mass populated server, not on a server where maybe a handfull of people are left to play some PvP.

    Yes, i will refer to WoW, they did their PvP battlegrounds serverless. You fight people of completly other servers, so you are not depending on your own servers population but the entire continent of the game. Why fight the people on defiant over and over, if there are 10000+ people oversea waiting to fight you, but you cant?

    As for the 'lag', i also play Cabal and PW, both by gamemasters hosted in Germany. With a ping of 25-50 (even in 125vs125 battles it wont go beyond 100) i wonder what is so different about the EU servers that make them so laggy.

    First, i say US SERVER, not player, i refer to EU people playing currently on the US server. (many dont even know the exsistence of the EU servers).

    I wonder wich 'MMO' you would be talking about? I know enough MMO's that have multi-continent versions, where many moved over to their 'zone' in order to get a more active playerbase at the times they are online. (US aint that much more populated at 7pm our time - dont even try at 11am in the morning). Wich way or another, EU is dropping on players. Leave it or merge it, it will result in the same way, only difference is that they wont go away to another games, yet move into another server. As currently it is either restart on US, or just leave the game.

    And, ironic, i play with less lag on the US then currently on the EU (rubberbanding ftw).

    Note, serious.. fok this forum. Form not valid.. my backside.

    If they ever did that, I'd like us to keep our servers but give us access to the US ones too, and vice versa. We can then keep our names on our respective servers while also possibly gaining extra players from the US servers.

    Just add our 4 on their list, done.

    Everyone is free to transfer back and forth (paid offcourse), but it is easier to stretch out the numbers. (as quite a number of european playing US, yet cant come EU servers - wich can be prefered due playtime).

    About 2 years ago i teamed alot with a friend who was close to deaf. (1 side deaf, other side the highest hearing device).

    Although it wasnt (and prob still isnt) allowed, we used blinkie to help him find the glowies. It basicly was a program that too a short demo-record and parsed the data into a X/Y sheet for u to easier navigate to the glowie.

    Most missions were perfect doable, such as open maps, but often office maps were a plain nightmare (no wait, cave mission was) to find a last glowie.

    Yet, avarage per server has thus dropped alot.
    (as there are 4 more servers, yet equal ammount of players).

    Likewise, if they would merge thise 15 servers into (lets say) 8 servers, suddenly most servers will be rather alive and very well populated.

    So relative seeing, its below dec '04.

    Issues are often just a 'extra' to give people interest again, little actualy is done about the gameplay itself (city of Farm, city of Solo).

    Along with people leaving 'lesser populated' servers and not continue on other servers might cause an additional drop. (the first posts about low population on def/union are from july i believe). Take the 'big cut' of a month ago, another possible reason.

    Well that is quite common sence right?

    1 bub is 24 hours, 30 bub 30 days. But your max is 10 bubs, thus u have to get rid of some. But if u clear 5 gain 5 clear 5 gain 5, whatever, you can only earn them by being off for 24h and below the 10 allowed bubs.

    You earn a bar when u logged out, you 'spent' it when DXp'ing.

  21. I believe ouroboros story missions are also rewarded with merits? So the team can go there and do their thing together i asume?

    But, teamwise, only giving the mission/story-owner merits is plain lame.

    Yup, i saw that post also. Sounds like a 'we couldnt get it working that great, but this is what we came up with' story, specialy riot shield on female characters goes pretty weird.

    Although i cant really see why visual FX should be this lousy for the shield set, WP was already unnoticable (unlike ice, stone or fire armor), why not add a option 'supress player FX', like the already implemented feature to disable other people's FX.

    I was remaking another toon, i noticed i could choose other shields in elemental set. Energy or kinetic (quite cool), Dark (funny) and i believe electric, but later on i couldnt pick them anymore.

    Well i pretty much gave up my shield tests.

    Ok, set is avarage, but the animations are far far far from what i expected. Running with sword/shield is the same freaking [censored] walk archers have (and db), really aint my style. Likewise the powers itself, it doesnt 'use' the shield rather lame copies of WP/Inv set animations.

    Sadly, but for shields and dual whielding, cabal remains my all time no 1 on best animations.
  24. 1. Yes, that will work. I would only stick to tier1 and tier2 (soldiers and spec ops), as it doesnt stack you only have to be sure it proc as much as possible and focus pure dmg on your commando.
    2. No, doesnt matter, any lvl will do.
    3. Yes, it does. the Proc of heel -res doesnt with itself (asume all 3 tier1 pets proc it).

    1. except for Inv, it is equal yet stronger overal. Granite is cheap (kinda a exception), ice, fire and afaik dark have +end powers, WP has passive end recovery, did i forgot a set?

    So, i will be try shields tonight, i expect the worse so it always comes out better then expected
