    During hold-phase i had the feeling i was the only ice blaster around spamming holds I'll see if i can add some pics tonight.

    I dont know why it isnt the case but, according to the herobuilder but tankers have so much resistance for the price of so much endurance whereas scrappers and brutes have to pay the same in endurance for less resistance with similar sets i wonder isnt there an AT modifier in this and is it really fair?

    Because Granite has penalties that will balance those 'advantages' by far. And as scrapper, exclude the /regen scrapper, they never run out of end.
  7. I've tried this trial a few times, its one of the hardest i've done so far (red/purple rikti are bad.. very bad). We once nearly made it, untill we got a rikti spawn again.

    Although not 100% sure if i can make it tonight, set me up as lvl50 tank or blaster. (if its still going)
  8. When you start and you're still short of 1 person, drop me a msg @Encore or @SinergyX, i got several characters ready to send in assistance

    (blasters, emp healers, scrapper, tanker, controller or PB, you name it, i got it )
  9. Unyielding got a badly penalty.. -5% defence to all elements, so although you get extra resist, they will hit you more often.

    Later on you can overcome the -5% by tough hide (bit def to all element) and invicibility, who grants a XX % acc and def to each mob in melee range.

    As for the lower lvls, i took combat jumping to at least pull back the -5% to -2,5%. Once you hit lvl12 you can slot Unyielding with DO resistance (go for 3res/1end-red) so the resistance becomes a bit more usefull.

    And to get around current lvl, pop a purple once in a while helps alot.

  13. You might can add some recharges in the pet-summon powers, as they are your shields you cant have them down due recharge at any moment imho.

    I love the little ammount of zones in CoV, easier to travel around, no more minutes long traveling just go to 1 simple mission.

    I only died once... After you left i dinged 22 to get full SO slotted dwarf, did a pretty ok job

    But nice to you have aboard, great tanker, lvl32 getting closer each day
  16. Nah /regen is just the exception to all resist/defence styles, they can do magical stuff one they pop MoG or fast healing (that click power). Specialy versus just a few mobs, regen can take alot of beating.
    And fire already been the weakest (in resist/mez) of the tankers, imho wont be any different in the brute style.

  18. Never knew burn gave imm-protection, but i gues as long the icon is in your icon-bar, wich seems about 10 seconds (or bugged sometimes over an hour). Yet the executiontime of Burn is quite a bit, wich are precious seconds when you are in the heat of battle.

    CJ has some added extra's, bit of defense a higher jumping (ok useless...). My build seem to be able to get hasten/jump-set and tough, yet no weave.
  19. True about burn, 3 slotted i never managed to kill a even lvl minion with it. In a team with a aoe-imm controller it gets kinda usefull. Yet even with BU, it only brings back pre-ED values, whereby burn damage already been nerfed.

    I mostly use it for the static pets (DE thingies or items to be destroyed) or as panic button to get mobs of my back for a second.
  20. Thugs seem to be a great set for the /poison side, specialy due the lvl38 power and the 3rd pet (melee). I'm a 34 bots/psn MM, once i hit 38 i will let my bigboy get the pbaoe debuff power and i just send him in the heat of the battle, having 2x heal of the protector bots and a fast spamming poison heal you can keep him alive very easy, used it alot already for Elite boss tanking. 2 bubbles give him extra defence, poison also have a minor-resist buff to any mez-form.

    I do have both hasten as stamina, specialy when you start spamming your heals your end goes down rather fast. Only single target debuffs isnt realy a big issue, most powers recharge quite fast with hasten to debuff several mobs at the same time. They execute very fast, give big debuffs and last quite long.

    And the lvl35 psn bomb i believe gets a bit of love in Issue7, so helps a bit extra.

    Tank Playstyle.

    Tank the style your team needs. Personaly i run into the group, do some power to activate gauntlet and taunt the surrounding mobs whom i missed.

    In case of a bad spot or closeby group, i do a quick taunt from distance and run behind a ledge. I do let the team know they have to backup a bit due possible aggro.

    Taunting from distance can create some nasty situations, if you are capable (as in strong enough) to jump in and take some big beating from the mobs, thats imho the nicest way to go (note nicest, there isnt a 'best way'). Likewise having a aoe blaster that tend to blast his endurance away before you even reached the mobs, tricky moments where you need to keep big eye for the full overview. Wich mobs can they handle, wich you should pick, where to run for best mobbing... Dont expect to tank the whole group instantly, specialy lower lvl all AT's can survive a 1-2 minions pretty ok. Focus bosses, lts and special mobs (void, sapper, earth casters) and known their effects (aoe's, sleep, holds etc).

  25. In PvP currently any AT But mostly the blappers (melee slapping Blasters).

    For the sets, pick the one you like most. Each has pro and cons, so at the end its plain a choice of preference.
