Having trouble starting CoH. Trying to log on but it keeps updating. Says "Fixing Files: piggs/texMisc.pigg" and is downloading for forever...

So... without any sort of confirmation that he is gone, everyone is just saying goodbye to BaBs right away?

I hope he hasn't been laid off. He is my fav dev but I am not jumping the gun just because one article says he "may" be part of the layoffs. At least not until I have proof.

Uh... than where did you hear it from? Okay, there isnt anything official but still... someone had to hear it from someone. So... where did this information come from?

Um... why can't I find anything official about BaBs being let go? Can someone please direct me.

I really like the Ultimate Universe stuff that's written by Michael Brian Bendis. As far as I am concerned, he is the best Spider-man dialogue writer there's ever been.

So someone had told me they were ending most of the Ultimate Marvel series and that they were doing some kind of big event that would kill off many big name characters in the Ultimate world. I vaguely remember something about a tidal wave.

Only thing is googling this gives me random results all over the place so I figured I'd come and ask my trusty and awesome CoH community. =D

Anyways, was this information I was told true and if so, can someone please direct me to the name and information for this end event?

So I am working my Warshade into a nictus, muahahahah, and I am having a reoccuring problem.

I understand you can only earn 5 points within 20 hours. That's not whats going on here. What is going on is actually getting Tips to drop.

I am hunting nothing but lvl 20+ Bosses and will go through 25 to 50 bosses without a drop. They seem to shut off. In the last day I have earned and played 5 tip missions (trying to go rogue with this guy) and now it refuses to earn me anymore tips. I wanted to stock up on another 5 tip missions so I could blaze through those tomorrow but apparently, the game refuses to drop any. I am currently nearing 50 bosses I've been hunting (and they are only a few levels below me so some are extremely difficult right now) and I think I am gonna stop.

But it would be great to know if there is an actual set limit of tips you can earn or something, so I know for the future.

Yeah, I've seen several of those videos but when I googled about the new Slim, I don't find anything, which is why I was asking here.


The reason is because I currently have an elite and the other problem with it, is it freezes once every few months. Or has. Its inconsistant.

Anyways, I always wanted one of the limited edition halo xboxs and apparently Halo Reach is the last halo... at least last one that Bungie is making.

I greatly fear selling my current one, buying this new one and getting home to have a red dot of death.


On the warranty issue. They no longer fix them unless you have a warranty. Another reason I am scared. Only Xboxes bought before X date can be sent it within 3 years. Otherwise you have a one year warranty and can buy extended in some places.


So no one here, themselves, has had any trouble with a Slim, yet?

I was wondering... I am thinking about buying the new Xbox "slim".

So anyways, I was wondering if the red ring of death is no more. I heard its no longer an actual red ring but a red dot, but still, is it still occuring or has it been fixed?

I've been trying to find this out for myself but there doesnt seem to be a lot of info on it. I am also hoping that asking this doesnt get me banned or whatever since I am unsure about the "new" forum rules for this section.

But in the end, I trust my fellow CoH players and respect and rely on their opinion when I can't find what I need myself. So since I don't know where else to go, I am asking here.

I don't want any change in the POS. I want him to be walking in place like the other 2.

If I do that, is there a possibility of my screen shots, costume files and demo stuff being deleted?

I'll copy what I have to my external hd just incase but it would be good to know before hand. Sucks. I was all ready to log on yesterday and work on my comic(www.jkcomics.com)... but natta.

So I uninstalled my beta and on the desktop, it removed both the beta icon and the main coh launch icon.

Now I can't launch CoH... I tried going to the CoH folder and I tried "cohupdater" but it wants me to fully install coh again... which I don't want...


Whats going on?

1. I dislike ATI. I've had ATI before and they either messed up and have problems within the first few weeks or they die 1 to 2 years in.

I have two computers, 1 is ten years old, the other is 6, and both cards are running strong for what they are.

2. Unless the ATI card are one of these...

I have specific needs for this computer so options are limited.

I don't get it.

Then how do I get 3 monitors to work and the ability to boot up 3 instances of CoH to log onto 3 different accounts all at the same time?

All 3 can and preferably be in windows mode.


I only need one to be ultra mode but I would like the ability to switch which instance is in ultra mode if I need to.


So how is it that something that seems simple (although for most, not needed) is such a hard time for technology now a days?
