  1. You earned the power, might as well use it.

If I can't change out the geometry for Spines then forget about it.

Just say no to banana melee!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Apart from Spines being able to use the geometry from Thorns, and Thorns being able to use the geometry from Spines (both of which can be colored), there will be at least one other set of alternate geometry/FX.

As for Martial Arts, the alternate animations we have right now are mainly punches. The idea was to provide you guys with a way to make the classic, fights with their fists and feet, super-hero that many have been asking for. That includes a new animation for assassin's strike (Assassin's Blow?).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Any chance on the alternate animations that you can set it to cycle between the two (or more), or choose at random at each time the power is used?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Right now, the tech doesn't work that way. It's more an issue with the VFX not syncing up with random animations, as we've had the ability to randomly or sequentially play multiple animations for a while.

It might be something we could do in the future, but very unlikely to happen for I16s launch.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Wouldn't that be similar to how you can spam Shadow Punch or Swipe, one time it uses the left hand and one time it uses the right hand? it's two different animations for the same power (that we currently have)

Also, first after a redname: yay!

Are EM/INV brutes a good build? I haven't seen many guides on this set so I thought I'd see what popular opinion is. I'm looking to both team and solo. Any help would be appreciated.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Good? not particularly, but that's not to say it's a bad build either

    The PvE God...

The "PvE God" is a Fire/Rad Controller :P
  5. SHOOOOOO RYUUUUUU KEEEEEEEEEN!!!!!!!!!!!11111111
  6. EMP is a heavy -regen power, useful when you want to finish off a particularly annoying AV (Diabolique) and when you miss LR against GMs

You should include it in your build and 4-slot it with Basilisk Gaze

    Customizable Powers

Customizable powersets include Cold Domination, Dark Armor, Dark Blast, Dark Melee, Dark Miasma, Earth Control, Earth Melee, Electric Armor, Electric Assault, Electric Blast, Electric Melee, Electricity Manipulation, Empathy, Energy Assault, Energy Aura, Energy Blast, Energy Manipulation, Energy Melee, Fiery Aura, Fire Assault, Fire Blast, Fire Control, Fire Manipulation, Fire Melee, Force Field, Gravity Control, Ice Armor, Ice Assault, Ice Blast, Ice Control, Ice Manipulation, Ice Melee, Illusion, Invulnerability, Kinetics, Mental Manipulation, Mind Control, Necromancy, Plant Control, Psionic Assault, Psychic Blast, Radiation Blast, Radiation Emission, Regeneration, Sonic Resonance, Sonic Blast, Spines, Stone Armor, Storm Summoning, Super Reflexes, Thermal Radiation, Thorny Assault and Willpower.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It doesn't list Speed, Teleport, Leaping or any other power pools players may want to color customize (I know a number of people that are very ticked off about Hasten's look but deal with it anyways because it's a good power). An overlook? any chance to get them included in i16 launch? maybe i16.5?

    What's your take?
  8. That'll teach you to be helpful and informative next time

The only thing we don't know is if Defender's Trap debuff/buff values are the same as MM and Corrs. If that's the case, then I don't think /Trap will be a popular Defender set, the same reason why Corr/Trap is kinda rare (it was awesome until they nerfed Poison Trap).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well considering most of Traps effects come in the form of pets (and not just pseudopets, but actual targetable pets that show up in a pet window) they'll probably have the same effects.

Unless of course a new set of "pets" is created specifically for Defender Traps, with higher values

OK, following Nihilii's advice and adding Hasten we get the following. This looks like it would allow for Shout>Scream>Shriek.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Good sonics don't use Shout

Shriek - Scream is what you want.
  11. Mel Gibson is pretty scrapperish in his movies: Braveheart, The Patriot, Lethal Weapon, etc
  12. Or you can just roll a defender...
  13. Rerolling as a Peacebringer would make more sense =)

But other than that, looks like Energy > Radiation for your concept
  14. Silverado

    So, /Cold

Powerboosted Benumb on an AT that relies primarily on holds, yummy.

If PvP still mattered, I would've said that's overpowered. But now? I guess it's welcome
  15. Silverado

    Lolz

Ice Melee/Armor would've been soooo much better on a Stalker

I'd rather get Thermal and Fire Blast, but I suppose AR/Traps will have to do for now.

    Traps/AR, actually

So if you ever wanted to see if your Scrapper could take on a map that is populated for an 8 person team, four levels higher than your own, now you can!

    I started crying.

I disagree about Freakshow. It's been my experience that they run too much. They piss me off.

Council is pretty easy. Just corner pull and unload with Shadow Maul.

    [/ QUOTE ]

There are no "corners" on a typical farm map, but you're right about the Freakshow. Without a taunt aura like RttC or AAO they run away like crazy :-/
  19. Anything melee based like Freakshow or Cimerorans, they like to get up close in your face and are much easier to line up for Shadow Maul
  20. Let's not think too much inside of the box that is inside of a box here, shall we?

This: "Rad will beat Dark when it comes to offensive prowess" right here is the key to the whole discussion

When you're playing one of your bigger cousin ATs, soloing a single AV is kiddie play. With these ATs, and with P-Forge's sense of challenge, he'll be wanting to move on to the big leagues and kill GMs and multiple AVs at the time (3-5, dev-made)

You say Dark has more survivability? that's nice, but you're not gonna kill a GM or multiple simultaneous AVs just by having slgihtly more survival than what's already needed. Rad can survive just fine and is far superior than Dark for the task at hand.

So back to my original point, go Sonic/Rad
  21. [ QUOTE ]
    lol ok!

Well, it's looking like Sonic/Dark would be very strong to me, stacking those -Resists with Tar Patch. What's your opinion on this?

Mid's is not letting me slot Cloud Senses IOs in Darkest Night and Dark Servant but it WILL let ne slot them on my /Dark MM. Is this a bug? Or is it accurate? If it's a bug how can I fix it please.

Fluffy also appears to be permanent right out of the box? It shows a duration of 240 seconds and a recharge of 240 second? That can't be right can it?

Other than that the build is still to unpolished yet. I just began serious work on it. I'll post it if it seems to be panning out.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Go Sonic/Rad
  22. I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary on my 50 Fire/Psi/Mu
  23. Very cute

    I liked this part:

"Chimera: Oh fantastic, another lethal-resistant scrapper. Why did I have to roll a lethal damage primary?

Chimera: You know, Mother Mayhem never has to deal with this."
