We've actually known this for a long time (aka since the power came out on test) since as StratoNexus mentioned, the +regin procs have the same behaviour

Quote:I see, makes sense.Because Poison also has a craptastic power called [Poison Trap]. People generally differentiate them by calling the one in Poison "Poison Trap" (and generally to be avoided), while the one in Traps is generally "Poison Gas Trap" (and should be taken, even after getting nerfed)

That sounds like it has to do with that bug with cones, I thought they fixed that :-/
-
3 Corruptors of any kind with various powersets that can cover buff, debuffs and heals.

 A /Cold, a /Therm and a /Kin would be instant win
-
Try a FF/Energy Defender and skip the shields
-
And for the record, the only person here instigating a flame war is you, with the thread title alone.
-
I was only illustrating a point.

Scrappers are very powerful powerhouses of power by themselves, but as far as "usefulness" (in a team) goes, they're easily outshined by other classes, especially support.

You'll often hear "man we need a rad for this ITF!" or "we need a kin and a tank for this STF!" but rarely you will hear "man we can't start this without a scrapper!" from anyone who knows what they're talking about
-
Useless class? there's no such thing as a "useless" class, only useless players.

And for what it's worth, the most "useless" class blueside IMO is Scrapper (as in, they don't act as force multipliers or fullfill any crucial role in teams) so that should tell you something

Quote:Your estimation is correct, it took me about 90mins.Awesome! How long did it take you? If it's as long as I imagine (I average 10-20 min per GM so, that's minimum 90 min, right?), there's no way I'd have the patience to do this. Gratz!

Oh, for technical reference, I'm assuming insps & temps were in full use? I guess if you load up on reds & use temps, you can go a lot faster...

I didn't use any temps or insps though, as you can see from my empty inspiration tray at the start (the 9 inspirations at the end were dropped by each of the tentacles and the head upon defeat)

Quote:Yeah, Plasma Blast is almost irrelevant if you're /Traps and have PGTThe Assault Bot has significant -Regen in its plasma bolts.
 - Regeneration -5 for 30s (30% chance) PvE only [Ignores Enhancements & Buffs]

	Here, just like I promised.

Sorry I took so long, I actually did this a while ago but I just hadn't gotten around to upload them.

 Enjoy! ^_^

	Here (includes Deathsurge and Scrapyard)

I've killed him on Rad/Sonic Def, Fire/Rad Cont, and even Fire/Traps Corr using small inspirations but no Shivans, his endurance shutdown blasts can be rather mean :-/
-
I would also very much advice against skipping one of the most useful powers on the set. Seeker Drones can be used the soak the alpha as the previous posted said, and they can also be stacked on harder targets to floor their damage. The -res from the Acid Mortar and the -dam from Seeker Drones have an excellent synergy that you should use at every oportunity
-
Prior to i16, the 'standard' for soloing AVs was at even level.
-
I'd go for defense (melee being the priority) and go all out on Obliterations. Being an end pig of a set (nearly no end redux) isn't much of an inconvenient since elec armor has all the tools needed for endurance management
-
I'd go with /SR, Quickness will give you +recharge thus increasing your damage output even more.

Not to mention it's easy to softcap and you'll be nearly unkillable

I just got my 30mo vet badge and I mostly play the ATs on my sig. I have no idea what I'm gonna be playing by the time I'm eligible for the 48mo vet badge.
