Frosticus covered the "safety" part, so I'll cover the "quickly" part. A Bots/Traps is significantly faster than an Ill/Rad for a couple reasons: Robots deal more damage, which can be boosted by Assault and red inspirations (which isn't very practical, but hey the option is there) and because PGT has a higher -regen value (LR doesn't quite negate the regen on "higher level" GMs) and is autohit; missing with LR once (which will happen, more often than you'd like) will make the fight last 5mins longer (if the GM is low on health)
  2. What is the best use for this power? when do you use it? when do you NOT use it? any other pros and cons and anecdotal experiences you'd like to share are welcome

    AV Killer?

Also do note that if you're looking for an AV killer of any kind, there are better/cheaper/faster choices outside of the Scrapper AT, such as Defenders and Controllers.

But if you're specifically looking to roll a Scrapper, and you also want to solo AVs with it, then DM/SR is a fairly solid choice without being too expensive.
  4. Do note that powerboosting AM only boosts its Run Speed component.

There are several effects Power Boost won't... boost. Such as resistance, damage, recharge, regeneration (but will boost +/-Healing), recovery (but will boost +/-End), etc

  6. The description clearly states in big red letters that the stealth IOs are mutually exclusive.
  7. When I read Ghost/Wolf, the first thing that came to mind was Claws/Dark Stalker.

This was before the Vanguard base was open to all levels. So at the time, she had to get Field Crafter and then start a Snaptooth mission at pocket D so a hero could team with her and craft the wand inside the mission.
    Clever
  10. Since i17 I store my craftable temps in my email inbox and label them accordingly: "Stun Grenades Heroside" for example, since attachments don't display that bit of valuable info

The problem with Statesman is that he SPAMS his godmode, the thing must literally have a 30 sec cooldown or so. Not to mention his Thunderous Fist Stomp he also likes to spam, which can one-shot your traps.

Recluse is much easier to taken down

Odd, I found Antimatter much easier than Positron, what with him not having Overload and whatnot

  14. We real life people, whose main method of communication is spoken, can't spell it. Flower Knight, being a videogame character whose main method of communication is text, can't pronounce it.

    Amusing coincidence?

You don't really need Provoke against AVs, but it's a must for GMs

It's a pseudo-pet; it doesn't show up in your pet window, therefore inherits all your bonuses (except for +rech, duh), same as Lightning Storm, Tornado, Freezing Rain and the previously mentioned powers.

It happened with Dual Blades, and I can totally see it happening with Kinetic Melee.

The new devs are... well, noobs

Doesn't work like that, you'll always get the same type of scientists

    Infernal AV

Yeah, that's because the AE version of Dr Aeon uses his impenetrable force field power (which also gives him huge +tohit and +dam buffs).

Swan was an AV that I always found challenging on my trapper, if I wasn't careful she'd FS off of all my traps and one-shot me :-/

  22. If you do team at all, do take Speed Boost.
