I wouldn't mind Azuria getting a unique face and a unique costume bit or two. The problem with all the suggestions so far is that each one makes her a little to put together, too attractive IMO.
Isn't she supposed to be the Professor Trelawney of the CoH multiverse? At least she behaves that way. In that spirit, she should be mildly dumpy and disheveled--and not just in posture.
Edit: In fact, they could introduce new "mobile contact" tech with Azuria in particular and have her roam about her office occasionally mumbling "Now where did I put that..." -
So with Freemdom coming soon and several details surfaced as to what will be available and for roughly how much, do you have any day 1 purchases in mind, even if it means ponying up $$$ for extra points?
For me, I'm thinking my day 1 BYOB will be the SAF Triple Global Costume Slot Special at 2400 points. (they're 800 points a slot, correct? or was that 1200?) -
I'd make her an office worker but give her a version of either the runes aura from the origins pack or the victorian decor from the steampunk pack colored for subtlety.

Quote:Long Island City in Queens, NY.Yes but the game is called CITY of heroes.
So why, when you have the entirety of the English language to chose from, do you use the word CITY when naming neighborhoods?
Fifth City in Chicago, IL.
Studio City in Los Angeles, CA.
Just a few off the top of my noggin. -

Quote:idiocracy.Did the application specifically state that a Class Three Intellect was a step up?
Observe:
McDonalds has installed all new Class Three Intellect point of sales terminals that have pictures of the food instead of numbers and spits out change automatically, making educational background not a factor. -
Quote:???Wow, a "thank you" post complete with passive aggressive tone. I like this guy.
Thought I was being straightforward, if a little cheeky. Honestly, the forumites tend to get word out 30 minutes or more before an official redname does about most everything, whether it's patch notes or an article elsewhere on the site.
It's why I personally check the general section of the forum before announcements.
I'd also checked the server status page to see if there was an announced downtime for today. Saw nothing. So I asked here amongst the crowd that knows. Sheesh. -
cool. thanks! and for once the official announcement comes before the unofficial forum announcement!

72m patch to live this morning and servers, though up, prohibit access currently for internal testing.
Did 20.5 go straight to live? I thought it was going to test this week. -

Quote:To be fair, the giant weapon phase of Marvel's history is about the time the comics took a nose dive IMO. Not necessarily because of the giant weapons--but the association is not a good one for me.Then maybe how about Korvus, in a "western" comic from "Marvel" in a very popular title, namely the X-Men
...
If you're argument is that Marvel, DC and western comics don't use gigantic swords or characters use "realistic" weaponry it's a very bad argument.
And IMO Cable is such a fail character, I'd love to see him and most of the 1990's retconned out of existence.

sweet! thanks for this guide.

Or at least the torn off arm from one of the various giant robots in game!

Had a thought earlier... will there be giganto elemental weapons? I'm not all that fond of the fire sword nor the greater fire sword... but if I could have a character with a cosmic sized fire sword for all their attacks, I might actually be interested.
Funny how that works. -

Feels like Wretch in the existing arc now needs to be remade with this set as his primary.

I stand corrected. It is giganto weapons.

Not my thing as far as I can tell. But I've been able to rework other sets I thought I wouldn't like into concepts more along my tastes. (still have no use for hordes of burping demons though)

Quote:Don't get me wrong. I'm ambivalent regarding the current naming system. Yes I don't always get my first choice. And yes sometimes I need to really work hard. But I've come up with a number of names over the years that I'm downright pleased with and for me have as much staying power as some of the classic characters they emulate. As for City of Heroes, I do alright coming up with names. Sometimes for certain concepts it's tough.
Two recent examples I never would have come up with if my first choices were available:- Skywright (for a character transfer--a rocketeer type formerly named Captain Tomorrow)
- Honey Maven (a female bee costumed brute whose willpower toggles have been recolored to a variety of honey colored tones, both dark and light for a rich swirling irregular aura about her)
In both cases, I went through over a dozen stabs trying to find a name that fit my standards with the right classic comic booky ring to it that was also available. Without a restricted system, I never would have been forced to work my own creativity as hard. So there are things that would be lost for sure if we moved to an open naming scheme. -
The Paragon Store needs an animated clock chest detail to celebrate the release of this power...
Plus would love to see a new clockwork LT or Boss introduced (ala the Super Stunners) during the lowbie revamp that grabs at least a few TM powers just because! -
Quote:Moar teases plz. These are perfectly valid concerns to have, and one that I personally believe you'll be pleasantly surprised with once we open beta up to everyone that the new in game store, or as we call it, The Paragon Market, is pretty unobtrusive and not "in your face" at all.
A lot of consideration and time has gone into the design of the store and it's different UI elements. We're doing everything we can to make sure that it represents the City of Heroes experience.
As to the specific items in the store, you'll all have a chance to provide feedback once we open up beta to the general public. We're looking forward to your thoughts.
What will someone like me whose bought every booster (except the party pack) be able to buy to spruce up my costume? I see two new trail auras. And am glad that i21 includes two VIP free costume sets. But what stray bits and baubles not bought via the incarnate merits can I buy? Whet my appetite! -

Quote:A related and extended question beyond what is already asked:Don't confuse Going Rogue with just "Praetoria".
Going Rogue was an Expansion to the game that included Praetoria, 4 Powersets, CoH/V Morality System, *and* the Incarnate System.
It was made very explicit that the purchase of that expansion was access to the Incarnate System, even though the first part of the Incarnate System was pushed off an issue.
What happens if you try to use a premium account unlock token on an already incarnated character? Can this be done? Would that character lose their incarnate abilities? Can you still get shards, just not use them? etc. etc.
