This is actually a big QoL improvement for me. I've been really lazy about moving my characters around morality wise because of the inherent travel complications of doing so.

Ouro may still be side-restricted, but this helps a lot.

Sorry I can't help you with your question but was wondering about this. Have you checked to see if the proc really stacks using a Power Analyser or whatever?

I was under the impression that it couldn't even stack from different casters, since the way it works (or I think it works) is that when it goes off, the critter casts the -res on themselves. Which is why you get the full -20% res even on AVs.

Maybe I'm wrong about that though, so have you tested it?

Edit: forgot about that, TY Fiery for reminding me. God, yes, take Blaze. It's phenomenal.

Since that's not the case, the ability of a character to solo is worth considering.

  8. Melee:

Fire/SD Scrapper (Good ST and AoE, can hold aggro)
DM/SD Scrapper (Good ST, reasonable AoE, can hold aggro)
SS/FA Brute (Decent ST, Huge AoE, can hold aggro)

    The Rest:

I'd go with Corrs over Defenders for one main reason. With a support stacked team, strength of the debuffs matters less than the force that they're multiplying. With 5 buffer/debuffers, you're not going to notice the weaker buffs/debuffs.

Plus you know how Romans can cause cascading defense failure? Multiple Corruptors cause AV cascading hp failure once you bring it to 50% It's awesome to behold.

    So:
    Cold/Sonic Defender
    Fire/Cold Corr
    Fire/Kin Corr
    Fire/Traps Corr
    Fire/Sonic Corr

The 3 melee can keep everything bunched up and in place for the 4 RoFs to decimate everything.

Dual Colds for crazy defense buffs and resist debuffs.

Fire/Kin for obvious reasons, cap everyones damage, SB for unsuppressed movement, win.

The Trapper is there for one main reason. PGT. AoE huge -regen shutdown. With PGT being dropped in conjunction with all the AoEs, you're going to have Nicti dying pretty fast too. Plus all their other yummy Traps powers. Multiple Acid Mortars? Do want.

If the Sonic is on the ball, no one has to jump out of LoS when Rom or a Nictus dies. FFG+S.Dispersion+Clarity for the win. Sonic Corr eats BFs, profit. Cage the healing Nictus, spam AoEs. 4 damage capped Rain of Fires on res debuffed AoEs would be monstrous.

As an aside, I think its amusing that almost all of the Dream Teams that include Tankers specify that it would be their own Tanker they're bringing
  9. Ah right, my bad. Will correct my post, ty for the info

One thing to note is, if you really hate getting mezzed, if you IO out the Dom and get permadom you've got full mez protection (along with all the other awesome stuff permadom bringss).

You could, of course, make both

Stoney does decent damage, but you'll be doing far more with your secondary. His Seismic Smash isn't exactly the same though. The Hold on it isn't guaranteed (only 66% chance, Dom version is 100%) and it does less damage.

IIRC, the -tohit on his aura is fairly hefty, I think it's something like -30. The rest of his -tohit is the same as the Dark Miasma powers (-5 on TG, -15 on DN). He's pretty good at stacking -tohit with your own powers, even if he doesn't use his at all well.

What you can always do is just resummon him in the middle of a nasty spawn. The PBAoE -tohit will debuff them to hell and he'll soak the alpha strike. He can heal himself back anyway, or you can if you pity him

Not much at all. Most stuff is either a) feared b) dead or c) tohit debuffed to hell. Even if you get mezzed, most times the Dark Servant isn't and will keep debuffing stuff and can take aggro off you. Or just hit a BF. Most mezzes won't land to begin with though.

I don't play an Earth/Fire, but I've got a Fire/Fire Dom. If you either build for some survivability like with Scorpion Shield to softcap your smashing/lethal defense, you'll be plenty survivable. With buffs/debuffs same deal.

As long as you play somewhat smart, that is If you run into a huge spawn and open with Cages without any insp, IOs or support, you're gonna go splat, heh.

Ehm, Quake and Quicksand are autohit but they're not gonna be enough to nullify the MoG of a PP. That said, they are pretty substantial and your mezzes can prevent the PP from MoGing in the first place.

-Def debuffs are often undervalued, but I think they're great. Another benefit is that you can slot an Achilles -res proc in EQ. Huge AoE + -res proc = hooray

FWIW, my personal recommendation based on your goals (good solo, great teamed, good ST and AoE, great for SFs/endgame) I'd go with the Corr. Doms do all those things too, but debuffs/Scourge are king for SFs. Fire/Dark is an immensely powerful character, hard to go wrong with one

    Hope that helps
  11. Excellent guide Amy, glad I could help with the quote boxes

Hopefully this will go some way to dispelling a lot of the silliness about the CoP trial.

    Godspeed.
  14. Fire/Dark.

It's more than just RoF+Tar Patch, it's just that particular combo is fantastic. The combination of Fire Blast and Dark Miasma works so well because Fire is pure offense with no defense wheras DM is just the opposite.

So they complement each other perfectly. Add into that the fact that you get your key powers very, very early on and its a great character.

Fire/Kin and Fire/Rad are also very good combos, if those appeal to you more.
  15. The Chance for Heal Self proc is kinda poo. Doesn't heal for much and doesn't go off enough to be worth it. Just eat a green if/when you need to. You could swap the Entropic Chaos sets for Decimations/Apocs (assuming expense is not an issue given you've got the Glad Def IO in there).

Are you dead-set on the Munitions pool? As Syntax42 said, You could get softcapped s/l/e defense with much better recharge, regen and rec numbers if you went with the Scorpion Pool for the shield. I don't see the FFB proc in LRM being of much use, I find it a lot better in powers you use all the time (Footstomp, Tremor, etc).

If you went the Patron route you could also pick up Total Focus and better slot out your melee stuff.

    Hope that helps

Oh, how to cast my vote.
I appreciate your support. I assure you, if I am "elected" (*scoff*) the Evil Vizier of Champion I will do my utmost to grind your hopes, happiness and dreams so thoroughly underfoot you will barely notice their absence.

So Silas, other than capturing princesses for their comedic pride, what do you plan on doing that doesn't involve physical, mental, or emotional damage to those working for you.
As I said in my OP, I intend to increase princess-related schemes and reduce hero getaways. That is just the beginning, however. I am of the belief that stealing away princesses and stymying heroics is just the first step. Eventually, it is my goal to steal away hopes and dreams of entire nations. Ideally with the assistance of some ancient relic bent to my brutal suzerainty.

It is not my goal to have the people simply fear me. Fear is for brute dictators. No, I wish the people fat and stupid, to be satisfied sheep. Cheering for the wealth their leader brings to their city, unawares of my vice-like grip on his every move.

The intensity and enormity of my ancient and evil will shall cause the very air of my palace to catch in the throat. For my baleful gaze to be felt in every corridor.

And again, I got mad schemes on the princess. Girl be fiiiiiiiiine. Lack of genetic diversity ain't never look so good.
  17. The presence of evil, scheming minds I was previously unaware of brings a tear to my eye.

Neuronia gets +1000 Silas Faction Points for a) using exeunt in a post but more importantly b) using exeunt in a post correctly.

If one of your advisors asks, "My liege/lord/leader, he is but one man. What can one man possibly do?"
A single good backhand slap to the face of the advisor, both for doubting me and for underestimating the enemy.

  19. T'was not my intention to discourage you my friend, but to make clear that the roles of Mayor and Evil Vizier are simply incompatible. It would be like a Scrapper-Defender, where the role of one is to smash face and kill things dead, whereas the role of the other is to be overestimated and do poor damage

I welcome your entrance into the race and frankly, the world needs more moustachioed, hand-wringing fiends in the backdrop to orchestrate dastardly deeds.

I am afraid that while I admire your moxie, I cannot allow this.

I know not what feeble mind suggested it, but a Mayor-Vizier cannot be. One cannot be both the bumbling, powerless puppet and the scheming mastermind.

I would welcome your entrance into the world of Vizierdom, either as blithe puppet or fellow schemer, but the two roles cannot be the same man. Unless the man is schizophrenic.

To suggest otherwise is an affront to Viziers the world over and I am afraid I cannot allow it.

All glory, of course, to the Hypnotoad.

I am not ATist. I do, however, feel great pity for the inferior ATs such as Defenders, Tankers and other such melee ATs. I feel it is important to not descriminate against these...simpler ATs, rather embrace their differences and invite them to our teams so we can start TFs when there is no one else on.
