Quote:I agree. I have been playing COX since day one, and would not want to start over fighting for my names, trying to link up with friends on the same server, etc.I'd rather they not make a sequel. A massive engine update would be nice, like a huge expansion. But people have worked hard on badges and such and starting fresh would be a bit of a hassle, as would moving SG's.
That said, the superhero genre does give Paragon Studios an alternative way to come out with a "sequel". The oft-mentioned Coming Storm could be such a catastrophic event that the entire world of COX is literally "remade" under our feet. We'd log in one day to our existing characters, on our existing servers, and find a "forced respec" (similar to how the VEATs work) so we can adjust our powers under the new rule-system.
The very landscape of the city would also be drastically revised by the Coming Storm. So much so, that it would almost seem to be an entirely different world... -
Quote:I notice that the water in the tub has no reflections. When are we going to see this redone in Ultra mode?!?So you can give the boys this...
But we can't see Maelstrom taking a shower? How about changing his armor then? Or working out? I really don't think you're playing fair here -
In the past, there have been more than one Training Room server running at the same time. In those instances, they were running identical code, but I would suppose they don't necessarily have to...

Sonic Dominator who plays a set of Pan-pipes to cast a spell over his enemies. I have the satyr costume saved and the character name reserved, just waiting on the devs now...

Quote:And Hamidon now moves around the zone when he spawns, so you need to be quick. Since the badge is usually on his top, hover or super-jump will also be handy...I heard they're putting a badge on Hamidon. Not under him; ON him so you have to spawn him to get the badge.

I renamed texWorldV1.pigg, rather than deleting it entirely (I'm paranoid about that sort of thing), and after the game replaced the file, everything looks normal again. Well, as normal-looking as Paragon City and the Rogue Isles get...
Curiously, I did not have a texWorldSW.pigg file before, but I do now. -
Quote:As a loyalist to The Television, aren't you supposed to be an unfit couch potato? Only Dr. Aeon's AE simulations actually require you to use your own muscles to enjoy them.It finally stopped here. We got around 18 inches and one of the darned snowplows knocked over our mailbox. I gettin' ready to go shovel, since apparently I'm the only one in my house that's physically capable of it.

Local weather forecast from Baltimore (near Washington DC). Oh, and the weather turned out to be worse than he forecast!

Quote:Programmers are now doing building demolition and construction? Does that mean that steelworkers and bricklayers are now doing the coding? The screen shows the morning traffic report. Looks like bad news for commuters: heavy construction going on around the consignment houses. You see nerdy programmers ripping out the foundation. They're a blur with activity. What are they doing in there?

Quote:They need some TF or SF that investigates a nefarious plot based in the Port Oakes candy factory. That would be sweet!I keep thinking there some gated Goldbricker content somewhere that I'm just missing. There's not, but i can't help but think there's some reason for them to exist.

Quote:Should I be concerned that all of that made sense to me?Unfortunately, having delivered that ultimatum in Korean, NCSoft accidentally told Positron via Babelfish to start taking dance lessons while increasing his charitable contributions. This opened the door for War Witch to wrest command of Paragon Studios from Brian Clayton, who was too busy playing Modern Warfare 2 to notice.
Castle, seeing that his once loyal servants, Synpase and Sunstorm, were no longer worshiping him as a god, began secretly conducting experiments in the basement of Paragon Studios' offices, the singular goal of which was to create an army of undead followers bent on usurping the throne.
BaB stumbled upon his unholy lair and was consumed. A hollow apparition now roams the halls, its flailing spasmotic lurches a stark contrast to the smooth animations it still produces as if by reptilian instinct. However, the mindless husk no longer has the capacity for forum conversation, and is now forced to use the only form of communication compatible with its now animalistic nature: twitter.
Meanwhile, within the interdimensional warp which houses the texture and costume department... -
Quote:As I recall, he was not even an average d00d either. He was slowly dying from lung damage caused by exposure to poison gas in World War I when he drank from the Well. You definitely become Incarnate. Marcus was just a d00d until he drank.
I also seem to recall that the Well was either drained completely or destroyed at that time, so it'd be kind of hard for a player to drink from it today. Note: it's been a couple years since I read the novel, so I may be mistaken about that... -
Quote:I think we all understand BABs not wanting to do all those extra animations for underwater combat, emotes, etc. But about poor Sexy Jay? With no underwater zones, there's no need for mermaids, water nymphs, or seashell halter tops! And what about animated neck gills or "cape effect" trailing fins?I agree with the episode 1 thingy.
I would be more than happy to see something like an underwater base that doesn't actually involve any underwater travel. If you could stand next to the window and watch fish, sharks, wales, rays etc swimming past in a nice vibrant coral reef i would be very very satisfied =) -

Dear Television,
If you were really my friend, you'd still be showing me new episodes of Firefly each week. As it is, you're only a "friend of a friend" via The DVD player. He invites you along whenever he shows me old Firefly episodes or new anime shows. -
Quote:I've actually reported that as a graphics bug a few times. I had no idea it was intentional...Here's one courtesy of Dark Respite/Samuraiko...
The moon doesn't revolve around the Earth in the Paragon Universe in the same direction. It rises in the north and sets in the south.
And I would LOVE to see the backstory on that little tidbit. -

I entered the first instance, never left, and stayed in while hovering in place until I was ejected specifically because I heard that there might be a bug to test if I stayed. As I stated in previous post, I ended up outside the Steel Canyon war walls (hovering coords in first post).

Was in a zone when it closed - appeared floating in air at 2281.8 16.6 1395.3 in Steel Canyon (the city zone I entered event from). FYI - those coords are outside the war walls for Steel.

My custom MA enemies with flight powers rarely use them. Instead, they run along the ground whenever possible, which makes my fearsome winged villain group look silly. Is there any way (current or planned) to force my custom enemies to fly?
