I prefer to use the counters in the desk tab but I have also seen people use the following
Large Blocks and Small Blocks from the Arcane Tab
Any number of crates from the Tech Tab
Bookshelves
That is all that I can think of off the top of my head. Now keep in mind you will have to float your floor tile up on top of these things to place anything on them but once done you can walk on them. -
Wow. I got to see this in person last night. Thanks for the quick tour Turbo along with your advice. These pictures sure don't do the base justice and like most base building things just look that much better in person. If anyone has the chance you have to see this in person. Fantastic work Turbo!

Lady Nocturna after almost 2 years of playing.

Keep your eyes open here as well, we hope to one day get Trolls StrikeForce/ SidheBlades Task Forces started again.
Troll is my IRL husband and we worked our Villians up to 50 basicly just doing the StrikeForces.
*sighs* I so need to bug him to start that again.... -
LOL GhoulSlayer I just want to give you a quote I live by everyday in my job as a teacher that seems to apply very well to base building. For an inservice I watched a seminar given by Hary Wong and this has stuck with me "Every thing that works well in my classroom is NOT original! I STOOLLE IT!"
But yes I love to give credit where it is due and thank those people that I have stolen base ideas from. Keep up the great work. -
Okay you will need the following to get up and going:
1 oversite room
1 combo control and power unit
1 base invention table (to make your teliporter you can sell it when your done)
1 teliporter room 2x2 I think is what you need
Once you have the rooms in place and the items bought and places you need to make your teliporter. If you want a tech teliporter then you need a tech table if you want arcane then the arcane table. You will craft your teliporter using slavage
ONce crafted back to your entrance room and selcet place personal item and put your teliporter where you want it.
Next you will exit out of that menu and enter back int the base editor to place your becons, make sure that they make a yellow box around your teliporter so that they are "attached" to it.
That is about it.
Your second question about the Pocket D beacon-it is a broken graphic that they have nto bothered to fix yet, don't know if they intended for it to be that way or not.
Hope this helped you out. -
I agree with the above list but here is my list simply put going on the same assumtion of a wide range of levels:
Atlas Park
Kings Row
Faultline
Steel Canyon
Talos Island
Croatoa
Brickstown
Founders Falls
Peregrine Island
Hollows
Perez Park
Dark Astoria
Striga
Rikti Warzone
Skyway City
Independance Port
And yes Red side only has 9 ports if you count Pocket D, though there will be more when Rouge comes out...I might actualy have to upgrade my Villin Base! -
Reboot your computer. I think it is a bug and every so often I get that I either reboot the game or my computer and it fixes it.
-
1. There is a way and you have to elivate your floors to the first level in order to "slide" your tree into the floor I have never tried this though.
2. pool of water is made by your floor colored blue and floating a slow field this must be done in a room however that you can put a slow field into, it is a defensive item.
3. Yes it is stickied to the top somewhere of this forum though last I head those item we want for bases have taken a back seat because of Rouge and the heavy graphics work they are doing there in order to make the bases work even. You can read the list and add to it if you want though. We can always keep wishing -
Thanks so much. Because of your generosity you have pushed my base that much closer to getting a new generator that we desperatly need. I will be posting links as soon as I get ahold of some of my global chat friends.

Quote:Question 1:
I crafted a teleporter and placed 2 beacons nearby and they binded to the teleporter correctly. Then, I deleted both beacons, added 2 new ones, and they refuse to bind to the teleporter.
I re-added the original 2 beacons, they also refuse to bind.
Is this a known bug - if you remove beacons, the teleporter is rendered unusable from that point on? Or is there some trick to get it to reassociate to new beacons?
Question 2:
I've tried to get items to stack like I've seen people mention in some threads, with no luck. Are there only certain item combinations that will stack? Is there a list?
Question 3:
Is there some way to get a long hallway from the entrance room to another room that is "centered"? The connector always wants to go either right or left.
Question 4:
How do you get a ramp to correctly adjoin to a raised portion of the room without losing the "edge". I currently can either leave a small gap to keep the edge or adjoin which leaves a bare section to either side which has a "tech" look.
Question 1:
I have never had this issue so it might be something with how your placing the beacons I will let someone with lot more expertise explain that.
Question 2:
Yes only certian items are "stackable" but there are many tricks that we use to stack the "unstackable" items. I belive that anyting under the desk tab is stackable. Safes are stackable and so are the oriental looking lamps (I don't remember their name) A Floor title is stackable as well but has no depth to it but it can be pulled up stacks of safes or lamps then things can be placed on it the tilte deleted and the things stay floated. See stackers things on Youtube or the links are in his signature for lessons on how to do these things.
Question 3:
You can not center between two room blocks sorry but can't be done. though you can center it so it drops center into another room
Question 4:
having a slight gap is okay, you will walk over it but if you don't like that gap look you can change the wall. Under Pick Style go to low wall and pick what you want to show.
I hope this has answered all of your questions you can always PM me or send me a tell in game @lovebug and I will be more than happy to help you out. -
You can always make your own using desks but sadly that is the best solution there is.
-
Sorry I was not on earlyer. Ended up going into town but I will be home all day tomorrow and in game most of the afternoon I think.
-
Not to my knowledge but someone else might know better.
-
with my 2 gigs I can only work for about 2 hours... though my computer has other problems on top of the memory issue....
-
I am sorry that you could not make it Tyrak but I will be happy to give you a tour (I have made some changes)
Thanks to Capa and Redlynne for coming and telling me exactly what they thought of my base it was a lot of fun.
So who is up next? I can't wait to grab some more ideas for my bases. -
then they will be a personal item for you to add.. Happy building
-
You know your're on Triumph too much when you see a troll wondering around Grandville and think that it is normal.
You know your're on Triumph too much when you see character names of food and don't even have to wonder what SG they are a part of. (love you Mag and Kay) -
Very true Tyrak. I think it is hard to judge important and I don't go to the thread were all the cool stuff is posted much anymore because it just makes we want it an I have no time to spend building.
I think if we have overall builder and all the other catigories but as it was stated it is who we think bases on what we have seen and just a fun discustion though how would we judge the base builders. I'm not near the top 100 but with practice I hope that someday I could be. -
Okay if I have to pick my all time fav base builder that has inspired me the most I can think of only two off the top of my head.
1)Stacker
2) TurboStar
Stacker is the bomb and I can't not have him at #1 and well Turbo is just doing some amazing things right now. I would be happy to have either work on my base. -
okay how did you do the stars? That just looks cool. I might need you to help me out in my base once your a bit less bussy.
-
Is this basicly when you computer just crashes when editing? If so for once I experenced it, if not I really need to start saving for a new computer.
-
I would have it on Sat the 5th but I have a must go to school thing. Perhaps I can catch you at a different time. Send me a PM of times that work for you.
-
Okay to help you out. I have discovered that for me it is easyer to decorate some as you go and build from the ground up. If you try and do ALL of your decorating in the end then some things are just harder to place and you end up with a headache. That is the best that I can tell you though come to my tour next week and perhaps you can get some more ideas for your base.
-
Okay While I posted in the actual group I will post again here.
Next week a Redside base. Sunday 2 pm MST Triumph, Mercy Island. Look for Lady Nocturna or just send me a message @lovebug. Hope to see you there!
