  1. I updated a kitty character with the Animal Fur and Cat feet, but love the face/hair combo I picked originally too much to change the head.

    A new character though...

Martial Arts with a bird was too hard to pass up.
  2. Butterfly Effect (since deleted and I believe claimed by another)
    A. Paladin
    Russian Fury
    Patriot Fury

and, apparently, I should have been surprised to get Wila, because all of the other variations are taken.

    All on Virtue

Where did you get the build from ? You really went from one extreme to another..
The first one was done on SuckerPunch and, as admitted, I'm don't do well without Mid's numbers. The second one is Mids.

Looking at the first one, it appears I was going for +Damage and +Recharge. +Acc was, once again, a byproduct. I never build specifically for +Acc because it's too easy to get.

Your regen is nice at 275% but I don't see that helping you out much since your defense are so low that you will not be able to regen your health back that fast.

Beyond that as I mentioned your way over the top with your Accuracy.

Personally if I had the money to buy those IOs I would slot them in a much higher performance AT that would benefit much more from those IOs then this build.
In my world this an expensive build but not an outrageous one.

    Ranged defense is 45%
    AoE defense at 30%

Accuracy bonuses were pure side effect.
  8. Refigured for Inherent Fitness... I'm really just trying to figure out if she'd be fun to play... if I should bother.

  9. 6.5 months later... no opinions at all?

I just noticed this build is pre-Inherent Fitness, which will be changed (obviously), but in general... thoughts? Opinions?

  10. Betty Page as Siberian Spring

    Also...

Claire Forliani as Alisa Paladin nee Korsakova

    and

    Cate Blanchett as Wila
  11. I run my L50 Cold/Rad at +2/x6 as a general rule. It's not particularly fast solo and I'm picky about mob types (avoid Carnies/Malta); but she can certainly do it and I still have fun.

I find it annoying to change my settings all the time and when I run with husband's Inv/Fire tank we FLY through on +2/x6.

*Note - She is fully purpled, built for Range/AoE defense, and level shifted (though I ran this way before level shift too).
  12. Just a quick opinion feedback.

If I'd come into CoX after Going Rogue was launched and had to start in Praetoria (as new players must), I'd never have kept playing.

Granted CoX was my first MMO, and I've only been playing for four years, but dying over and over is just not fun. No, I'm not a "seven year vet", but I am a fairly good player. I'll play tanks in Praetoria, the rest... well, I got a few out to Paragon/Rogue Isles during DXP, and a few more via Pocket D missions. I'd rather play villain side and cross over for those archetypes... and I HATE playing redside.
  13. Yay!

No worries on the delay. It's a beautiful piece of artwork.

Not if you only transfer during "free transfer" periods.

One of the 50s I transferred (during the first free transfer), because I was never going to play her again (Dark/Regen scrapper), is coming back to Virtue if we get another free one. After 3 years of not playing her, I think I've learned enough about my play style and enhancing to make her fun again.

Good point. Maneuvers stacked with the extra defense on FFG alone will make it worth it, I think.

Besides... I'm a Defender at heart. I have Tankfenders, Blastfenders, Scrapfenders, etc... LOL.
  17. My research in Mids shows me slight differences in Corr v. Def Traps.

My question to my fellow forumites is this: Is there a practical difference in game play? Does the extra (unslotted) 3% in FFG make a difference in game? Same for the 6.6 additional debuff in Acid Mortar.

If there's a real discernible difference, I'll go Defender. But if there's not, I'm going for extra damage.
  18. I haven't deleted any, but I have three that have been transferred to a server I do not play on and stripped of all enhancements and inf... One made 50 just so she'd be the first 50 in the SG she founded. Second made 50 because a DXP weekend got her so close, it seemed a waste. Third made 50 because I kept getting team requests for Rad Emission, but I really can't stand playing it.

There's no product to retrieve and very little chance to catch the perp (particularly since chasing after an under-$20 purchase isn't a high priority).

Unfortunately, what you're doing (alternating cards) is a rather common action among fraudsters. Many people just don't notice a single mischarge for a single month- especially if they frequently use those cards. Those that do rarely bother to pursue it if the charge is low enough, as the hassle is rather high. Recurring charges get more attention. I'm not surprised they're looking for that sort of behavior, particularly since NCSoft has been burned so badly (and publicly) in the past.

They still need a way to better exempt you from those flags. It might require more proof of legitimacy by you in some way, but after that's on record, they really SHOULD be able to exempt the account from such high scrutiny.
I can see the side you present, however, both of those bank accounts are accounts of long standing that match my name and address every time... and it's only two accounts; the same two.

When you're talking about a triple digit recharge IO build, you're bound to have a ton of extra accuracy as well.

Even if you needed those defense debuffs, keep in mind how much they're being resisted. Against an AV, cut all your numbers down to 15% of what you've listed. Your irradiate is doing less than 7% of defense debuff.

Again, if you needed those defense debuffs, they're not going to help you. You need to hit with them first. If you need defense debuffs, you can't hit the enemy reliably to land the debuffs.
Aim is native to the set for assistance is landing those debuffs. Hitting Aim and following up with Irradiate and Cosmic Burst on an AV is roughly equivalent to Tactics. And Tactics is not without value on a Defender.

For defense based mobs (including AVs), it only takes one hit with -def to start a cascade failure.

I'm not saying that /Rad is reason to accept/reject a player on a team, but to say -def has negligible value is equivalent to saying +tohit has negligible value.

However, if you were to slot the Achilles Heel: Chance for damage resistance debuff in several of your attacks /Rad can be seriously enhanced. Though it probably means giving up the opportunity for slotting certain defense set bonuses (Thunderstrike and Obliteration).
No one will argue that Benumb is amazing. However, even with 164% Global Recharge it's still not perma.

Sleet is more of a variety pack, including -def, -res, -recharge, -speed. But it is on a longer timer and has less -def than Irradiate. Sleet up every 19.81 seconds with -41.75% def, can stack twice; Irradiate up every 6.6 seconds with -45.66% def, can stack twice.*

1/4 of my primary powers do nothin' for me (skipped Frostworks). Not complaining, I love shields on my teammates, but they're nonexistant powers in a solo-AV fight and a benefit to any team.

In /Rad I've got Irradiate, mentioned above, plus Electron Haze and Neutrino Bomb both stacking -25% each on multiple targets.

*Note - numbers from my own build, Sleet & Irradiate both slotted with 4 identical Shield Breakers.

p.s. The argument here is not that Cold/ isn't awesome, but that /Rad IS.
