Then do the exact opposite, thats what running the Magi trial is like.
Its slow, painful wreck of trial and the ONLY one that unlocks hybrid. Ive seen some bad trials, but this is by far the worse, maybe Voiced leagues can do this, but every single pickup league fails this trial.

No wonder they were calling for AT's the only real way to do this is to stack corruptors.

So my impression from skimming over the set is.
Its subpar but not so far subpar it will ever get fixed...
well I have no idea if thats good or not.
Well at least its better than beast mastery. -
This is wrong, because pre ED 1 acc and 5 dam was the standard slotting, and people would jump back to that in a heartbeat is ED was ripped out.
Which means damage is more valuable than any other considerations.
Also Io's are just swimming in +rech +rec, and there just isnt that much +dam, so they higher you get the less valuable the rech or rec becomes. -

+dam is very rare.
But lets be honest, damage still overrides nearly every other consideration in the game.
Its not a debuff per se, but it is a debuff in the fact that its not as good as the damage bonus which is what its balanced around, Ill refer all arguments to DP. -
The problem seems to be lack of build up.
the set is balanced around maintaining perfection 3 of the body.
using anything other than perfection of the body is a debuff, and it winds up being a waste of a power, that realy does nothing more than keep you from being debuffed.
This is why it does work for stalkers since they get it for free.
Its a bad set for anyone other than a stalker. Guess the only good news, its not as bad as beast mastery. -

Im looking for objective reviews of performance I probably should have stated that clearly.
Not it looks cool, I poke things with a pool cue, what could be more awesome.
Basically what I want to know is does this perform well compared to the average on melee sets.
I know everything looks like mud compared to SS,TW and fire melee.
Example DP being lackluster compared to fire or archery is acceptable, DP being lackluster compared to the middle of the pack is not.
Right now Staff is looking somewhere between mediocre to slightly under mediocre. I do believe a paid set needs to be a little better than that.
The problem seems to be the lack of buildup and the general damage cut it takes for having a constant damage buff available which means your locked into the damage form and cant leave without destroying your damage output.
Im guessing this problem does NOT apply to stalkers. I havent gottent o test a stalker yet, so please keep the reviews seperate.
Ive seen this come up in other games, Form of the body is not a buff, its a debuff for not being in it. -
Not trying to be rude.
But people enjoy Beast Mastery,dual pistols, Electric blast, and Ice melee, it doesnt mean they are in any way shape or form good sets.
That being said, my impression is that Staff isnt nearly as bad as these, but it seems a little lackluster
Needs a bit more damage. -
So what does everyone think of staff now that its live.
I saw some poor reviews coming out of beta, but no where near what BM was getting.
So what do you think? -

And I don't see much they could do now to make redside more demographically palatable. There are just too many conceptual problems selling you are the bad guy compared to you are the hero.
Just asking for more access to players such as cross server or even cross side teaming opportunities.
Failing that, just inflate rewards, blatant bribery usually does work. -

Dont like failed launches and Failed TF's, it tends to give you a bad reputation making it harder to lauch others later, so I no longer start Redside TF's, I only start blues and coops now. -
My hero's stay hero for farming SSA's
My Villians all go rogue to get access to heroside Tf's and teaming. -

Yes well I have to set the levels at that because Its pretty easy to solo something like freaks,warrior,council,family or outcasts at x4 and have to go x1 for arachnos, cot and Longbow.
Blueside is mostly freaks, council, family between 20-35
Redside is mostly Arachnos, Cor and longbow between 20-35
Hm..... imagine that.. -
So why I want to play redside is I have some friends and a vg
Someone asked what level I solo at for blue it's usually +0 x4 for villain it's usually +0 x1
There really is very little actual difficulty
But red is just slow compared to blue
I usually get almost double leveling speed

These days, I pretty much solo everything to 50. I have done that for a long time. Villain-side, I have soloed more Corruptors to 50 than anything else. I... have not had a problem. (And no, I don't IO them extensively, though I do fork out for some single goodies that help a lot, like a Miracle and a KB IO.)
I can't say a lot about how Dominators solo up these days, as I haven't played a lowbie one much since they were changed, but are you really suggesting MMs have a hard time getting to 50 solo? Really?
I will say that I think "legacy" heroside foes are generally easier, especially below level 40. Arachnos and Longbow are way more annoying than Family or Freakshow, and they're everywhere. But while I'll concede it's harder, it's not what I would call "punishing". Not in general. (Don't get me started on mid-level PPD SWAT. Whoever created them was a bad, bad person.)
I was more refering to Blasters, Defenders, controllers, Dominators and Corruptors who get absolutly beat on by the excessive status effects of longbow, arachnos, and cot which make up most of the missions.
Heroes do have Tsoo and Cot, but they arent all that common, and Outcast, family, freaks are really easy mobs.
I dont like soloing redside at all.
The devs seem to think they can put hard content in the same... area as legacy easier content and people will actually choose to do the harder, longer, less rewarding content....

But at that point why not just close up redside if you just going to tell everyone to go blueside.

BUt usually enough to get farmed.
I said COOP Zones, like Crim and RWZ.
redside is fine post 35, ITF's lauch about every 3 minutes on freedom and about ever 5 on virtue, the problems are gone at that point.
But whatever someone logic is to play redside, teaming needs to be improved redside. -

NO MORE PREATORIA, it will just be ignored and villified like everything else praetoria is, it has too bad a reputation as a player grinder to ever draw players even if it was easy. -

Even if the population magically increased redside (which isn't going to happen no matter what the devs do), there is still going to be points at which you had to solo. (For instance playing on a holiday, late at night when nearly no one is on.)
with that said, I would love cross server teaming (across SERVERS) also.
The devs cant increase the redside population, but they can make cross server teaming, they can make BETTER coop zones with more draw so players actually go there, they can make it easier to cross side team to increase availible playerage.
ITs not completly a dev or a player problem and both are too blame, and they devs INSITANCE on holding out on cross side markets is one of the big killers of early redside development which redside never recovered from.
BUt this is a problem the devs have to fix, the players dont have the coordination to do it themselves, I mean I could start up a repeat offender style superteam and blitz to 50 in 2 weeks with about 20 other people but that doesnt actually solve anything. -

I play blueside until I see a redside team advertised, then switch and play them.
The real solution to this is for the redside players to agree on a server to play on, the unofficial redside server. Then all move there. They would have a lot of redside players if they were all on one server
we need a solution that doesnt involve spending money by the players.
We need a low level coop zone that is NOT praetoria... for the most part players hate preatoria, they avoid it like the plague, stop ramming it down our throats dev's.
They got a bad taste for it early one when it was way too difficult and they just wont touch it with a 39 1/2 ft pole now.
I havent seen more than a player or two farming ghoul badges in first ward in months.
