1. I'm leaning towards option one, though I admit nervousness.

See, I loved the old Thigh High boots, with the flare at the top. The skin tight version we have now, while fine, is just..... missing that flare, heh.

It sounds like you wouldn't be making any changes like that, though, so I'm favoring option one while not being set against option two at all.

(p.s. by the way...thank you for asking)
2. You are on the Power storyline, at least so far as I know it, having just been through that line.

I also thought the bank robbery was over the top, and not really fitting, but you're not helping Bobcat so much as you're trying to get in with Neuron, and you have to go through Bobcat to do so.
3. My Thugs/Traps MM will probably favor the title she's worn the majority of the time since the moment she earned it so long ago: Paragon of Vice. But like that title, most of my characters have titles fitting their nature.

One of my general favorites, though, was Hot Shot, one of the removed AE badges, and a few of my girls mourn the loss to this day. Bring those lost AE titles back, Paragon!
4. I'm looking forward to your next video, too. I look forward to them even during those times when I'm not actively playing (or even subscribed!) to the game here. To top that off? I have some friends who don't play, have never played, and are not interested in playing... but they know about you, and your videos, and have me play them so they can watch over my shoulder when they're over here.

Just thought that might bring a grin to your face.

Yup... I see nothing not to like.
Yep, I am not making any more Praetorians. My duo partner and I just died, over 5 times each, fighting one boss, his 3 Lt. and 6+ minion buddies, and oh yeah, the unavoidable attack wave of I believe it was EIGHT MORE Lieutenants. Stacking Lucks did nothing at all.

In what freaking universe is that remotely 'balanced'? Not mine. We have just spent the last 4 hours in Praetoria, and we have not had one single moment of that stuff they call 'fun'. Not one moment.

I'm done with Praetoria until something changes.
6. I love the stories, but I have come across way too many 'Solo only' missions that are Solo in some universe that isn't mine. At level 12, I'm not equipped to handle a spawn of 3 TEST Leaders (3 Lieutenants that do massive damage to me!) and 3x or more of their Minion followers. When did a spawn that size become 'one of those ho hum things any old lowbie can do by themselves'?

I am loving the stories of Praetoria, but I have never been so bloody furiously angry and very unhappy and NOT HAVING FUN in this game before, over anything. And this is repeatedly, mission after mission, that I feel this way.

I love the devs in this game. I have played so many, and browsed so many game forums, and above and beyond the ones here are the ones I like the most.

You are all wonderful. Even when I'm irritated (or worse) at changes (or lack of changes), the 'personality' of the people behind this game is what keeps me looking forward to the future. The community your interactions foster here is fantastic, and yes, I do believe your interactions are a large part of why it's fantastic.

Television, I changed allegiance to Computer long ago. I have a wall of books that you will get over my dead body. However...

Gank: When a group of people kill a single opponent in an MMORPG. Taken to abbreviate a "gang kill".
Now, if you have a problem with a gang kill in a pvp game based around teaming, I think you might be playing the wrong "pvp" game. Perhaps Chess or Backgammon is more your style. just saying
My definition of ganking was formed many years ago; it's the only definition I knew, and the only definition anyone I heard use it meant. My definition applies to both single players or groups. If someone was 'ganking' they (or their group) were killing lowbies or killing those that had no defense, or were using (legitimate or not) tactics to make it so they could kill without any, or with very little, repercussion (i.e., one-hit-kill snipers, where you never see what killed you).

Mind you, I'm not saying your definition is incorrect in the least, just that I had never seen that 'gang kill' corollary until now. I had absolutely no idea the 'many vs. one' definition had removed any chance of it also applying to individuals. Words can have multiple meanings, after all. The definition I gave is the one I have long been accustomed to, which is why I gave it. I will say, however, that your 'chess or backgammon' comment was completely ridiculous, and has absolutely no bearing in response to my post.
10. I absolutely positively despise with the utmost hatred those people that get off by ganking others. ('Ganking' defined as a particular player seeking out and killing other players who have absolutely no chance at winning the battle, typically followed by boasting to, and jeering at, those defeated in this manner.) I am really trying to hold myself back here, because just the thought of it does bad things to my blood pressure, temperature, and headache. ('Nerdrage' doesn't even begin to cover my response to ganking, whether it be done to me, or to a friend, or even spoken of around me... or even me speaking of it myself.)

Sadly, there is a PvP subculture that focuses on this type of PvP, and also, sadly, this subculture is what I have encountered every single time I've stepped foot into one of the PvP zones here. Originally I was stepping out to partake of the PvP, then I was stepping out to attempt to get badges and leave as quick as possible... now I have a hard time even considering trying for the badges.

I don't dislike PvP. I am, however, of the mindset that when I happen to not be in the mood to PvP, I don't want it anywhere near me. If I only want to, for instance, do some questing, and someone jumps me, it irritates and/or angers me enough to usually result in my logging out...and if it happens enough, I quit completely. For that reason I avoid Open PvP games/servers/etc. 'Consensual' PvP is fine with me- which is what we have here- SORT OF. You have to go to a zone that you are aware is PvP- you can avoid it if you want, or take part if you want. I am really irritated by the fact though that Villains have several Accolades that require getting badges in PvP zones. Bleh. So I don't have those badges. Nor do any of my characters have Shivans. Oh well.

I absolutely love large-scale PvP battles, though! Original DAoC keep battles were, and remain, the most fun I have ever had in a PvP situation, and I am constantly looking for something I will enjoy as much as I enjoyed that. I've found other forms that are also fun, but nothing that's beat the fun I had years ago in DAoC. It wasn't just the combat that was great, it was also that your battles mattered to your entire realm as well.

So, would I PvP here if things changed? There are so many things against the PvP here, from the character builds to the irritating parts of the community, things that I don't think can ever change (and I know the whole PvP community aren't bad apples, I've just not met the good ones).
11. I wondered if something was up...
I duo with a friend of mine. We haven't made any changes to team level/size/difficulty- we're totally vanilla here at this point. We're level 15, and he's never gotten a single recipe, and I've gotten one (rocket boots). Quite a few regular missions, and some papers equals *one* recipe for the two of us, ever. Salvage is fine, but we'd wondered where the heck the recipes went.
12. I have been haphazardly playing since Closed Beta. I might play hours every day, or once a week, a few times a month, not for weeks... but my gameplay has never been reduced simply because I didn't like the game. I've always liked the game. But I think what I've always liked the most, are the devs behind the game, and the community fostered here.

Whenever 'best devs' comes up in any circumstance, this is the game I mention. Whenever 'the best game forums' comes up, this is the forum I list as the best. Along with the game itself being so good, these two things bring the overall rank up to 'awesome', in my eyes.

And oh yeah- Brute Claws is joy.
The only thing that saddens me is the unbelievably long-lasting deafening silence re: bases. I have hope that it won't last forever, though.
Thanks for everything. Thanks for the obvious love for the game; the love is something we all share, players and devs alike, but this game is where I've felt that common ground the most, and it's a very good feeling.
13. My fave combo used to be matching the flare on the top of the thigh high boots with the flared sleeves. Since the boots became skin-tight though, <sigh>, I can't really say I'm more drawn to anything else. Quite a few 'likes', quite a few 'dislikes', but no longer anything I have to steer myself away from overusing.
14. I'm all for new criteria for badge earning, and you have some pretty good ideas.

My only idea would be giving badges based on achieving confidant status with contacts (either so many gamewide, so many in a zone, or some such). The only problem with this is that it's completely and easily possible to outlevel contacts, which would destroy the chances of getting this, which makes it definitely no good. Maybe limit it to maximum level contacts? Just a thought, anyway.

Later 700 club!

I, too, hope they find some way to keep/bring back the titles we will be losing. I didn't have all of these yet (not even close!), but the ones being removed that I was most excited about were Aficionado, Do Gooder, Champion of Justice, Pressed the Red Button, the ENTIRE Destruction line, and my absolute favourites, the ones that I'm using on several characters: Showoff and Hotshot. I will cry over losing Hotshot!!

I am at 489 badges right now. I was so very, very excited about the approach of 500 (though it would have still either taken a while, or required some hefty farming, which I tend to avoid, to get). Now I'll be put quite a ways back, which does make me sad.

(@Gulver Re:Then again, you'll need Patience just to get Immortal on a Mastermind: Thanks for the laugh!!!)
16. CoH vs. CoX vs. Co* vs. CoH/V vs. CoGoRO? I call it MiT. (Men in Tights.) When I have to use a Co* it's always CoH/V. What I'm almost afraid to ask is... what the heck CoGoRO stands for.

Champions Online: Whenever a new game comes out, it's nearly always compared (unfavourably) to 'the game that came before'. A long time ago, everything was compared to EverQuest. Now it's World of Warcraft. Both games that had years of patches, upgrades, expansions, and all sorts of content added... and yet they were used to compare brand new games to. I wonder if CO will be compared to this one, and come out as unfavourably as usually happens to new games, since CO won't have the years of Issues that have added so much?

Good post. I agree with it all.
17. This game has been blessed with its Community Reps, time and time again.

I can only imagine how difficult your job is. You've come to mean so much to the community, and it's obvious it means so very much to you, as well. I do hope you take with you the knowledge that you have been wonderful for this community. I hope you are appreciated as much at your next place as you are here.

Thank you for your hard work. Thank you for caring. Thanks for being either serious or silly, whichever was needed.

Best wishes to you, in all things!
18. Another question along this vein...
Is it possible to have your boss spawn as a normal, regular boss for small groups/low difficulties, and as an EB with a larger group/higher difficulty?

I really don't want my boss to die when a big group, or someone accustomed to playing on max difficulty, barely breathes hard on him... but I also don't want him to easily smish a soloing, low-attack/buff-heavy Defender into paste.

I haven't had a chance to run mine with a big group or on max diff yet (so tired, bed calling), so I don't know if what I tried is how it works or if I'm overguessing everything. Brain needs an AE break. Back at it tomorrow!
19. Nope... I found what you were talking about, but Collection objectives don't have the 'this mission goal is created when...' setting option. Dang...this was going to be the only chained objective, but logic demands it be chained. Now I'll have to figure out some way to ignore the logic or something. Maybe if I set Boss to spawn Middle and Safe to spawn in the Back, and have the game actually spawn them that way (it keeps putting things out of order for me for some reason I've yet to fathom), it will work. Won't be the way I wanted, but it'll be logical, at least.
20. I have a collection item I want to only be interactable (or visible, perhaps?) AFTER a previous mission objective is reached (killing boss). Basically, the mission objectives are: you have to defeat the boss to get the combination for the safe and then get the item out of the safe.

It wasn't until I ran my mission and found the safe and got the item out of it *before* I found the boss and defeated him for the code (to the safe I'd already opened)...that I knew there was a problem here.

Is there any possible work-around? Since we can't set specific locations on our maps, and we can't do like some dev-made maps do and put mission objectives behind locked doors, I don't know of any way I can achieve this. Anyone have an idea that might work?
21. Yes. Please. I don't like the non-boot-looking new thigh highs. :/
22. Oh Zekiran I hope your base is recoverable! I truly loved how you did yours...

(I hate the teleporter thing, they give me the worst trouble, too.)
23. Well, I can't resist, I have to post mine, too. This is Anarchy's base on Champion. We started out all of 4 people and are down to only 2 now, so the base is tiny and is likely to remain so, but I really really enjoy working on it. Since I said that, you should know that anything (and maybe everything) you see here is likely to change on a whim!

Now, take a tour if you wish, with my Mastermind Dreadfall :

Overview
Teleport Bay
Multi-purpose Workshop Salvage storage, invention table, enhancement storage, and hiding off to the right, inspiration storage.
Entryway
We can pretend it's a dojo My punks are always trying to impress me. I like that about them.
Salvage & Control Everything has to be inventoried.
Garden Zed loves flowers. Don't mess with his garden.
Lounge That's it for this little tour. More to come once we've built up the pocketbook. For now, time to relax on the couch... and change the channel. There's got to be something on TV....

Yes, 2 teleporters puts a crunch on the power and control. We have to do shuffling if we want to get out a forge/worktable/etc. The teleporters are by and large the most-used item, though, so it just made sense. Plus, we don't mind using the hospitals at all.

It still feels a bit empty to me, but I'm working at it. My thugs and I thank you for viewing!
24. Clipping issue on females with Upper Body: Jackets (and Robes, and Armored) and Head: Hats. The hair on all the hats-with-hair options (at least, those that are not pony tails, save for Death Beard, which is a small pony tail tight to the skin) clips the jacket at all times, but is at the worst while running.

This character only has a minor clipping issue this way, many are much worse, but this at least shows an example: Clipping Issue.

I hope this has not been posted before, but I may have missed it. If so, apologies, oh sexy Jay.
25. You really need to rethink this as at the very least the removal of (at least certain) looping sounds is necessary by many for their enjoyment of the game. That is, unless your policy is to tell your customers to suck it up or just turn all their in-game sounds off.

This is a serious over-reaction for something that doesn't actually change game files in any way, isn't it?
