I just think it's hilarious that some people keep refering to 'right' or 'correct', when there is no right or wrong in using the terms char and toon. I think it's a tad silly to try and infer that your way is the right way. They are just terms used to refer to pixelated in-game persona. It really comes off as snobby that someone thinks their way is the 'right' way.

I see, seems you are lobbing the usage of the term toon in with leet speak and I have never considered toon to be a leet speak term. Like I said a few pages back, I use toon and char interchangeably. I never stop to intentionally use or 'not' use one or the other. I rarely type out the entire word character because I consider typed game chat and it's forums to be a casual environment; one in which, after a day of work, I do not have to pick and choose my words so carefully.

EDIT: Shautru; I wouldn't refuse to team with someone if they were an otherwise intelligent sounding person who used the word toon. However, (I'm not trying to insult anyone here) in my experience, more mature players are less likely to use the word toon. Obviously that varies and I'm not saying that using the term makes you immature, but that is the trend (or stereotype, if you will) that I have noticed.

I have no idea who posted it, I just saw it a few pages back and laughed. Using the word toon instead of 'whatever' is a gauge of maturity? I disagree completely and think the notion is pure poppycock. Of course that's just my experience with those types of statements and I mean poppycock in the nicest of ways and intend no insult.

Yeah, pretty petty really. I can't believe someone posted that they think 'you' aren't the type of person they want to group with if you refer to your game character as 'toon'. LOL Petty petty petty.

I use both terms, they mean the same to me. It's not like we don't know what the other is refering too when either term is used, they both serve the same purpose in conversation.

Those last two are probably my faves; but there's loads more of her work.

Honestly, I just can't get over the old-world style wall paper; fading and tattered newspaper clippings and placards. Then the book and glass of wine - Was he just reading it and stopped to wonder back to days gone by and remind himself why he does what he does?

The picture makes me think and imagine a story. That's what art should do, or at least that's how I feel about art.

Yeah, that's probably one of my favorites that you've done now. It's almost like a faded photograph, love the subject matter and I agree the background was worth the extra time you put into it.

I like this one as well. To me, both versions are great, I'd be happy with either one of them.
