i have never had a problem running CoH on vista. the only thing i had to do was make sure i put -compatiblecursor1 in the properties.
-
how long are you staying in there? how many kills are you getting? i was in RV yesterday for around 20 mins and dropped 1. remember that the drops are based off the RNG to. if your number isn't comming up then you won't drop any. if that is the case log out for a min or so then log back in to change the number you were assigned when you logged in.
-
why would you want to cut off your feet like that though? ouro is a good source of merits besides tf/sf's. not to mention the devs wouldn't spend the time to take merits out of ouro as they are tied into the story arcs just like if you did the arcs for the first time. oh, and could you please be more specific on which "good" recipes are 500 mil. because if you are talking purples, i hate to tell you but they really weren't designed with the casual player in mind. i think you really need to sit back and try to look for a solution to a problem( if there is one ) rather then comming up with a problem looking for a solution.
-
i didn't misread what you said quinch, just trying to point out that if people wanted to use merits to try to io toons that they could do so through ouro. it also fits into your idea of non repeatable content.
-
um...if you do ouro arcs you can essentially farm story arcs for merits. yeah it takes a while but it can be done. and some of the arcs give out as many merits as tf/sf's do.
-
well, you can get purple drops every run or it might even be a month in between. that's the way the RNG works. and dsorrow, you can drop purples from AE if you do devs choice or hall of fame missions. as long as they drop regular rewards it is possible.

still haven't caught that damn shark yet...but i think i'm on the right track. i hate HP and there damn tattooing and branding motherboards and os's. gonna cost me around $300 to fix my comp. this time i'm getting a ups so my motherboard doesn't fry again. glad to be back though.
-
um...you have tried changing the difficulty of your critters correct?

where is bill and his pastes when you need them?

first off, having a bank in the sg wouldn't help matters only make them worse. all it takes is one person to ruin it. secondly, no matter how much in your own mind your toons know each other they actually do not. the devs have stated before that all toons are separate entities even if from the same account and as such should be self sufficient.
money can be made hand over fist over foot over toe in this game. the answers are simple, find a sg mate or friend or spouse to help transfer or start a second account or go buy what you need withthe toon that has the money, make the item and store it in the sg base for the other toon to grab. -
you are totaly reading to far into this. and since you yourself said that you don't PvP ever, i think you need to learn about what you are talking about before doing so. if they made a PvP server, it would be exactly like test server. copy character tool and everything. and i would like to know how you would solve the problems that a code spill over would cause to the PvE side, and how if made cross server it would work.
oh, and the last time i knew, xp was added to player kills. -
and that is exactly what a PvP server would do. allow people to play together. it seems like it would be a lot less work to have a server for this then to try to make just the PvP aspect cross server while not have it spill over or cause sever problems to the PvE side.
-
money is way to easy to make in this game now. use the market to your advantage. i still see no need to be able to send money to ourselves.
-
sounds like a terrible idea to me. not to mention you didn't take io sets into account. what they have in place now is fine and there is no need to rework code to add something no one is going to like at all.
-
how about instead of cross server they go with just a PvP server. transfer your toon to the server via purchasable ticket with influence/infamy. or make a character copy tool so you wouldn't have to transfer. of course you would only be able to copy one way like test. i think it would be more viable to do rather then try to code for cross server.

Quote:and if you PvP all day long everyday like you said you do earlier, then you should be getting drops. no question about that. it also helps to get on a team when you do this as it actually increases your chances of getting a drop. also remember that just because you saw 1 bought for 1 bil, that is not what they are going for that is what someone paid for it because they have the IWANTITNAO syndrome.remember sally in croatoa?..remember when the issue was pushed live and everyone and their mother went there looking for her for the badges?
also remember when at that point she was "suppose" to spawn every like 27 mintues and she only spawned once a day?..
we said to the devs hey shes not spawning...what did they say?...yes she was spawning
until many cries later they actually went IN the game and tried it themselves to realize it wasnt. the point is sometimes its not the numbers or the data but actual playing that counts.
datamining is great...but never tells a whole story.
that said im not a fan of just sitting on datamining ...oh clearly you never pvpd with the cox people cause when we did some of the test ...trust me no titles were being ask..it was more like gang war on the cox rep.
before i was unable to use my comp, which was right before the opening of the new forums, we had a huge debate just like this about purples. people who wanted something for nothing and just couldn't grasp the concept i just pointed out about the IWANTITNAO crowd. -
suggested many times before and the answer is pretty much always, "that is what test is for". if they opened up cross server PvP then they would have to open cross server PvE. we all know that the only way that happens is when the game is dying and servers get merged. i don't see that happening for quite some time so i guess the answer is use test server or change servers to PvP with other people.

there is a chance to get a PvP drop. you just have to spend more then 5 mins in zone. you can get 1 with the first kill you make or it may take 150 kills to get 1. they were made rare for the reasons i gave at the start of this thread.
-
with the fact that you get 2 sets of bonuses in PvP from them and the fact that they exemp down with you i would say they are dropping correctly. if i understand the latest change to the drop rate for them, they drop on a 10 min timer and that is tied into the rep timer which has a 5 min reset per person.
-
first off, let me say 1000 times NO to this suggestion.
second, i have all sorts of snacks for anyone that want's them while they read this thread and watch it turn into a big old crap fest. -
hey hey. i'm back. kind of. my mother board in my comp fried and i am going through hell trying to get it fixed lol. thought i'd pop in and say hi though. miss you all and hopefully i can get back from time to time to say hi and give out the occasional snacks here and there and turn someones smile upside down...i mean frown upside down lol.
-
just give up already. you have no argumnet for why this should be implemented. if you want to team with people without having to worry about finding sk's, or are just to lazy to sk someone yourself, then go play in the AE. there is no reason this should be implemented in the regular game.
-
or if they try, the thread actually goes into negative stars.
-
run around the map hitting your tab button. i'd almost bet that you missed a guy somewhere.

and incase you were calling me a troll, i see very very very very few people if even 1 that supports this idea. and i think the 1 is you. that right there should tell you something. a bad idea is a bad idea no matter how many times you keep telling yourself it isn't. and using phrases like "in my view" means it is your opinion. and obviously you are the only one who feels this way.
